Dr. Jack Lincks was born in New Orleans. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Louisiana State University, School of Dentistry in 1986. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force, serving 21 years in the Dental Corps and retiring at the rank of Colonel (06). His military assignments include: Homestead AFB, Fl; Elmendorf AFB, AK; Lackland AFB, TX; Langley AFB, VA; and Hickam AFB, HI. He was deployed for the Persian Gulf War, Desert Shield/Desert Storm, in 1990.
Dr. Lincks completed his Periodontal Residency and Masters of Science at Wilford Hall Medical Center/University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio in 1999. His Masters of Science research facilitated the development of current surface technology for dental implants. Hereceived his Master Laser certification from the World Clinical Laser Institute in 2011.
Dr. Lincks is currently a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, the International College of Dentists, the Idaho State Dental Association, and the Southwest Idaho and Treasure Valley Dental Societies. He is alsoan Instructor of Periodontics II at CSI for the Dental Hygiene Program. He is the past Chairman of the Idaho Oral Health Alliance and is the Director of the High Desert Sage Study Club and High Desert Sage Hygiene Study Club.
Dr. Randy Demetter was raised in Troy, Michigan. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Following his dental training, he decided to pursue his interest in periodontics.
Dr. Demetter attended a three-year residency in periodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he attained his Masters of Science and Certificate in Periodontics. While in San Antonio, Dr. Demetters research interests focused on various materials and methods for extraction and ridge preservation and he has co-authored two articles.
Dr. Demetter is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, the Idaho State Dental Association, and the Southwest Idaho Dental Society.He is also and a Clinical Professor for the ISU Dental Residency in Meridian and isDirector of the High Desert Sage Study Club and High Desert Sage Hygiene Study Club.
Dr. Michael Florence, a native Idahoan, was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho. He graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Dr. Florence earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Oregon Health Science Center. He then entered into a 1 year General Practice Residency (GPR), sponsored by the United States Air Force, and practiced for 3 years as a general dentist before entering periodontal residency training.
Dr. Florence completed his Periodontal Residency and Masters of Science at Wilford Hall Medical Center/University of Texas. His research regarding bone growth and initiation has been published and presented at the International Association of Dental Research. As a senior resident in periodontal training, Dr. Florence and his co-horts achieved the highest score in the nation on the National In-Service Training Exams given to all periodontal residents in the 45 periodontal training programs throughout the nation. Following completion of his military obligation, Dr. Florence returned to Idaho to practice periodontics.
Dr. Florence is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, American Academy of Oral Pathology.

I was referred to Dr. DeMetter by my endodontist (Dr. Jerry Carbone, an excellent root canal specialist) when a painful molar had remained so even after a root canal. The reason: bone loss in the underlying tissue. Off I went to my general dentist, who proposed simply pulling the tooth and replacing it with an implant. That seemed an extreme (and drawn-out, painful, and expensive!) course to take. I also learned later that this very rear-most bottom molar is so close to the jaw hinge/joint it's really contraindicated for implant. So glad I didn't go that route! Enter Dr. DeMetter. What a bunch of heartache (and money) he saved me! In a nutshell, he performed a gum flap bone graft on my weakened tooth. Over the next 10 months (longer than usual, thanks to the pandemic shutdown), Dr. D and his staff followed me closely at regular intervals. The tooth continued to improve, and he even determined the other side of the tooth could show further bone growth with a minor bone graft as well. Both surgeries were completely comfortable, and I had a positive outcome. Dr. DeMetter always explained things thoroughly and patiently to me. And, knowing that I like to understand and learn clinical terms, even taught me a few. The office is very welcoming, and treatment spaces are calming and clean. The staff, from reception, to billing, and the hygienists, are friendly, reassuring, and highly skilled. Each encounter at Periodontal Health Specialists had me feeling welcomed, reassured, at ease, and valued. And best of all, Dr. D saved my tooth! I highly recommend this practice!

I unfortunately needed gum grafting a few years ago and thank goodness Dr. Lincks was available to help me! Not only is he one of the best in the business, his staff walked me though the process and made everything easy. In addition, every 6 months my dentist tells me that Dr. Linck's graft site is one of the best he has seen and it has held up perfectly for years. Thank you Dr. Links and staff!!

Periodontal Health Specialist of Idaho and its staff provided me with excellent care before, during, and after my procedure. It's never fun having to undergo oral surgery but having a highly skilled surgeon like Dr. Lincks and his staff on my side made my healing process quick and complication free. In addition to my oral health I felt that they also cared about my overall physical health when deciding on how and when to proceed with surgery. Should you ever find yourself needing periodontal care this is the place to go.

Dr. Demeter is an absolutely wonderful doctor! Great bedside manner and positive personality! He worked with our daughter off and on over the last 3 years and was great with her. Our orthodontist was also very pleased with Dr. Demeter's work. I would highly recommend him and if we ever need to go back I would not hesitate! Thank you!

We loved our experience with Dr Demetter. He treated some unevenness in my daughter's gum line to give her the beautiful smile she desired. His attention to detail was impressive, and the follow up care was amazing. His staff was wonderful to work with as well. Can't recommend this office enough.

Jack Lincks took very good care of us. Our son had a front tooth that wasn't coming down and was self conscious about it, and nervous about the procedure. Jack set him at ease and did a wonderful job. A year later now, our son has a wonderful smile! Thanks so much!!!

I had the very best experience with my "dreaded" periodontal surgery! Dr. Demetter came highly recommended, and I am extremely pleased with my experience and the outcome. Dr. Demetter was super professional, very talented and so swift and sure during the surgery that it was over before I expected it to be over! After the healing, the results were perfectly beautiful. (Gum/bone graft in the front of my smile). Another bonus, is all three of my appointments were super timely! I got scheduled at the time of day that worked perfectly for me, (I live 2+ hours away) and even when I arrived early they graciously never kept me waiting! I just wish Dr. Demetter practiced general dentistry in my town!!!

Can't say enough good things about my experience. Dr Demetter did my gum graft. The surgery itself was pain free. Dr Demetter followed up with me and was personally available anytime in the weeks following the surgery. My experience with everyone working in the office was fantastic-everyone was professional, friendly and respectful. No one wants to have a gum graft done, but if you have to this is for sure the place to do it!

Dr. Lincks has done several procedures on me over the last two years. Very skilled. Very professional. His staff is top-notch as well. Nice guy to boot! Highly recommend. After all my work is done I will still see him for regular cleanings (I alternate between Dr. Lincks and Dr Moon...).

I have been a patient at Periodontal Health Specialists of Idaho for several years. Dr. Michael Florence has been my doctor during the entire time. He is very knowledgeable & keeps up-to-date with the latest treatments. No matter what challenges my teeth and gums have presented to him, he has been able to develop an effective treatment plan. He listens to your concerns, communicates his plan(s) in an understandable way, and he even smiles. :-) The entire staff is professional. I came to Periodontal Health Specialists as a referral for pre implant procedures. Every time while visiting, I was greeted by the office staff with much enthusiasm and friendliness! It was almost like I had been going there for years. Dr. Demetter was the dentist who took care of my sinus augmentation. And although I don't have much good to say about the healing process, HE and his staff were amazing during the procedure and aftercare! Far better prices paying out of pocket than using my insurance at my routine dentists office. I am beyond thankful and grateful that not only the procedure is done, but for the great people that work here! I would go back if needed in the future for this dental repair/procedure.

I am a little past retirement age so I have had many dental hygienists do work over the years. I moved to Boise 3 years ago, and started going to PHSOF for my dental care. My maintenance care is done by a hygienist name Chayla. She is by far the best I have ever had. Recent cancer treatments make my cleaning and care beyond what is needed for what I would call "routine". All of her work is done with focus and care. So nice to have someone who demostrates such dedication to her profession and patients. I am very lucky to have found her. Carl

I had a severe infection in my front tooth implant I was very concerned the implant would be lost but Dr. Lincks took great care of me. I followed his directions and I'm happy to say that my implant was saved and all's well. Dr. Lincks was knowledgable, friendly and helpful. The staff that worked with me, from the receptionists to the doctor's assistants were also knowledgable, friendly and helpful. It turned out to be a very pleasant experience for me and I'm grateful for the excellent care I received.
