Roger B. Parkes, D.M.D., M.S.D. was born in Memphis, TN, and reared in Jackson, a graduate of St. Joseph High School. He attended Ole Miss on a football scholarship, graduating in 1974. He was accepted into the first class at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry and received his dental doctorate in 1979. Influenced by the first dean of the Dental School, Dr. Wallace V. Mann, he chose to pursue a specialty degree in periodontics. He was accepted into the 1979 graduate periodontics class at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX, and received his Masters of Science in Dentistry in the fall of 1981.

Dr. Parkes has been in private practice of periodontics since 1981 and is on the staff of three Jackson area hospitals. Dr. Parkes is a former assistant professor at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association and is past president of the Mississippi Association of Periodontists and the Jackson Dental Society.

R. Clarke Stewart, D.M.D. completed his undergraduate training with a B.S. degree in Biology from Mississippi College in 1980 and graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 1987. At the time of graduation, he received the Deans Scholarship Award and the International College of Dentists Award. He was inducted into Omnicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society and also into Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Dr. Stewart received his Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Alabama in 1989.

Dr. Stewart is currently on staff at River Oaks Hospital. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Mississippi Association of Periodontists, the Southern Academy of Periodontology, the American Academy of Periodontology, and was inducted into the American College of Dentists in 2006. He has also served as President of the Jackson Dental Society and served as President of the Mississippi Dental Association in 2010. He has served as president of the Mississippi Wildlife Federation; the largest private conservation organization in the state.

Dr. Stewart was born and raised in Raymond, Mississippi, where he still resides with his wife Frankie and his children, Clarke Jr., Susannah and Philip. The family attends Raymond Presbyterian Church where Dr. Stewart serves as an elder.

Jamie Howard, D.M.D., M.S.D.is one of only a handful of Board Certified Periodontists and Implant Specialists in Mississippi. She is from Clinton, MS where she grew up with her parents and three older sisters. She attended the University of Mississippi and was a member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College as well as a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. While attending Ole Miss Dr. Howard worked part time as a university student athlete tutor and with preschool children at Willie Price Lab School. Dr. Howard met her husband, Doug, her freshman year of college. After graduating with a degree in biology, Dr. Howard attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry.

During dental school Dr. Howard was a member of numerous clubs and committees and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Societies. She worked in an oral surgical practice throughout dental school, which is where her love for oral surgery was born. Dr. Howard graduated with honors and completed one of the top Periodontics and Implantology residencies in the country at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Dentistry. She also earned her Masters of Science in Dentistry during residency with a subspecialty in gum grafting and correction of gum recession defects. Dr. Howard has a special interest in aesthetics, ensuring that a healthy, beautiful smile is reflected in the total face. She worked in Birmingham in private practice prior to moving back to Mississippi with her husband.

Dr. Howard remains very active in community outreach. She is an associate professor at the dental school and teaches pre-doctoral students in both clinical and didactic settings. She is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontics, the Southern Academy of Periodontics, the Mississippi Dental Association and the Academy of Osseointegration.
