Upon graduation in 1979, he began a long term of service for his country by entering the Air Force as a clinician and periodontal instructor. He rapidly rose through the ranks, retiring in 1991 as a Chairman of the Department of Periodontics. He was also a US Air Force Chief of Professional Services for 6 years; he was a consultant in periodontics to the Command Surgeon of the Air Force Logistics Command and to the Surgeon General, U.S. Air Force Europe; and he served on theBoard of Directors of the Uniformed Services Benefit Association for 9 years.

Upon leaving the Air Force in 1991, he moved to Fort Worth and began his private periodontal practice with an emphasis on personalized treatment. He has been practicing in Fort Worth for the past 24 years.

A firm believer that a true professional must always be learning and growing, Dr. Daniel takes a great deal of continuing education each year. He is one of only a handful of dentists who are fully certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Much of his training has been in the field of dental implant placement and laser surgery. Dr. Daniel was the first periodontist in Fort Worth to use the advanced technique of laser surgery.

Dr. Daniel is a member of all relevant general dental associations including: the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Fort Worth District Dental Society. He is also a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Texas Society of Periodontics, Southwest Society of Periodontics, the Western Society of Periodontology and the International College of Dentists.

LANAP is a gentle, conservative, non-invasive method of treating gum disease without cutting, suturing or removing tissue. Using a precision laser, the Doctor is able to kill up to 99% of the disease-causing bacteria in the periodontal pockets. Because there is no defense against the laser, the bacteria can not adapt and avoid elimination as with antibiotic treatment.

  • LANAP LASER PERIODONTAL THERAPY takes LESS TIME than traditional surgery. All it takes is two 2-hour visits to the office and two follow up visits. Traditional surgery requires four sessions of about one hour each, with subsequent visits for suture removal and additional check-ups.
  • Many patients find that they have less than a 24 HOUR RECOVERY period, so you won't lose time from work. Following traditional surgical procedures, recovery can take between to 2-4 weeks during which patients can experience pain and swelling and may require a liquid diet.
  • He has been involved with dental implants since the early days of its development in North America and has successfully placed over 7,000 implants for patients with varied clinical needs ranging from single teeth replacements to full mouth rehabilitation.

It is important to us that you understand your options for treatment and get all of your questions answered. Please do not hesitate to discuss your questions with Dr. Daniel or Dr. Almasrior any of our staff.
