I just finished my implant surgery with Dr Yi. She was the best surgeon I have seen. I had seen two others before her. She has an amazing calm presence but also instills a lot of confidence in her ability by her patience, kindness and clarity which are superb. She is focused but relaxed during surgery and let's you know what is going on all along the way, if you are interested. She and her assistant keep a keen eye on any level of pain you may be having and makes sure to alleviate it. She does a lot of planning prior to surgery and is fully prepared on the day. The front office is also professional and very good at communicating what the process will be and how to prepare. They contacted me to make sure I knew what to expect and how I could help ease the process by getting medications ahead of time and the billing process was smooth and clear. One of the great assistants, Amanda is so good at communicating and knowing what to do next during the surgery, it's like she can read the situation the whole time. She is super knowledgeable and instills peace of mind and balances being professional and being personable with great ease and consistency. After not finding an office for a few years that I actually felt comfortable with, it is such a relief and pleasure to have been referred here. I highly recommend this office and their staff. I went to Perio Specialist as a referral from my dentist for gum grafting. This is the first surgery experience I have ever had, and this team honestly made it a great experience as a painful surgery can possibly be. From the first impression, the office is beautiful and comforting, and the front desk staff is similarly welcoming and kind. The office feels homey and lacks the sterile hostility medical offices can sometimes give us, and I appreciate this attention to detail. All of the assistants are friendly and guided me through my consult in a way that felt very easy to understand, and provided me with paperwork that extensively outlines the pre and post procedure guidelines, the costs and what they generally would see insurance cover, and the options for payment. Dr. Yanni seemed experienced, is very personable, and made me feel as though he really cares about each of his patients. He answered all of my questions and made me feel confident in his abilities. Nothing was confusing and I left feeling that I knew exactly what to do to have a successful procedure and how much I would be paying at maximum and minimum pending insurance coverage. They also never made me feel rushed, which is something I really value in a medical office. When I came back for the procedure itself, it was very smooth, and the immediate aftercare included wheelchair down to my car and a re-usable ice pack. They communicated clearly with my husband regarding my care at home for the rest of the day. Dr. Yanni contacted me personally the day after my procedure to check in on me and invited me to contact him for any concerns or questions as I healed. Every time I reached out to him, he answered quickly, and gave me great peace of mind as I worked my way through an entirely unfamiliar healing process, including some minor overreactions on my end lol. He has great patience and understanding. I have had experiences at a lot of medical offices in my life, having worked adjacent to the medical field for the majority of my life, and this is truly one of the best medical experiences I have ever had - I used to train doctoring and nursing students on the patient care and people skills side of the profession, and I certainly give everyone here an A+. :) I would highly recommend this office if you are looking for a place that will both make you feel genuinely cared for, has a strong team that clearly works together, and will explain in detail to you your procedure and costs.

Dr. Vasanthan, Dr. Yanni, Mary Ann, and all the staff have truly been wonderful. They have made my life much more enjoyable with how much they have improved the overall health of my mouth. I will always be most grateful for their care. Paul

Dr Ash did a gum graft for me yesterday. The front desk staff does a good job in making you feel at home and comfortable. I had many questions in the weeks prior to the surgery and changed my mind on the choices I was given for procedure and billing. They never got irritated with me, but just helped me ponder things so I felt comfortable with my decision. Dr Ash is very experienced in this realm, spelled out all options, from doing nothing and what that would look like down the road, vs doing portions, vs breaking up the whole mouth into more affordable procedures by spacing it into 4 surgeries over 4 years to better work with insurance and keep the cost down. He also has a nice bedside manner which helped keep me at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Ash and his team.

I have extreme anxiety when it comes to dental work. The entire team at Perio Specialist was very caring and compassionate. The assistant Bianca has such a calming, empathetic way about her. Dr. Yanni performed my procedure. He explained everything and was so reassuring. I knew I was in great hands! I highly recommend Dr. Yanni, Bianca, and the whole team! Just a great place if you find yourself in need of periodontal work. UPDATE- It is one day after my 2 hour procedure- 2 teeth extracted, osseous surgery and bone grafts; I feel good! DR. YANNI YOU ROCK! *** UPDATE *** - I had my 2nd procedure. This one was more work than the 1st one. I feel good. No pain. A little swelling as expected. Dr. Yanni was great, again! And his assistant Amanda W. was the best! Amanda is so comforting, reassuring and it's evident she loves her job. I mentioned in my 1st post that I have extreme, over the top dental anxiety. Go to Dr. Yanni and his assistant Amanda W. I promise you will be in good hands! Discuss your fears with them. They will answer all your questions with honesty, compassion, and no judgement. Go for a consult with Dr. Yanni and Amanda W. you and your oral health will be happy you did!

The best at what he does! Took a not-so-fun procedure and made it better. Appreciate his empathy, care and follow up efforts so much. Hope I don't have to be back, but if I do, I'll trust this team and his care, always.

Have 4 implants that was inserted the last few years, 2 each time. They are wonderful, and I will be getting two more implants soon. Have had no problems. DR Vasanthan and his staff are great to work with and would recommend them for Perio Dental to anyone asking me for a referral.

I was very pleased with my experience at Perio Specialists of Roseville. Dr. Vasanthan's team works efficiently and effectively to make one's appointment go smoothly. The staff are friendly and positive. I was especially pleased with how Dr Vasanthan explained my condition and it's prognosis using old & new X-ray photos. Last but not least they worked out a financial plan that was perfect for my situation. I highly recommend this practice!

This periodontal office works as a team to make your experience the best! Dr. Vasanthan is an incredible surgeon. I experienced minimal pain for a complex periodontal surgery, a clean office, friendly and educated dental help all the way around. I especially liked that I was not over medicated, thereby allowing my own immune system to engage in my healing process. Any questions that I had for Dr. Vasanthan before, during or after my surgery were answered via text or email within a very short time. I would definitely recommend Dr. Vasanthan. It is a pleasure to work with a caring and professional periodontist.

Dr. Vasanthan and his staff are top-notch. I had an emergency where I was in a lot a pain, and they were able to fit me into their already busy schedule to evaluate the problem tooth. They scheduled a deep cleaning the following day. The dental hygienist, Mary Ann, was very calm and reassuring, which I really appreciated since the tooth, already evaluated by my dentist and an endodontist, was seriously stressing me out and now causing my jaw to swell. After a course of antibiotics I will have a bone graft procedure and we will also see if perhaps the tooth has a fracture not visible on the x-ray. My situation was atypical since my pain level didn't correlate with the x-ray. Dr. Vansanthan and staff showed great patience and concern for my well-being and I have complete faith that we will soon get a permanent resolution to the problem. By the way, a couple of months ago my husband also had a procedure with Dr. Vasanthan and he was extremely pleased with the outcome.

I have had extensive dental work including oral surgeries, braces, several implants and a cosmetic smile makeover and as a senior citizen, I have worked with multiple dentists in my life. There is absolutely no one I would rather work with than Dr Vasanthan! He has a unique gift for achieving exceptional outcomes in difficult perio procedures that result from his unique combination of personality, total commitment to patient care and extensive experience and training. I don't write reviews very often but it is a pleasure to recommend Dr Vasanthan to you.

First time implant surgery and I was a bit nervous but everyone was professional and really helped me understand the process. Dr. ASH was an outstanding communicator by explaining the x-rays and what he needed to do for a successful surgery. Overall, very good experience.

So today I had my 5th.I believe, procedure with Dr. Ash. I have had many horrific dental experiences prior to working with Dr. Ash.The first and second times coming in for a procedure I was very apprehensive. This Dr. is so kind, understanding, empathetic, reassuring and honest about every one of my situations. I slowly dropped my guard as he delivered positive results while being honest every time. Today was no different and he helped me avoid unnecessary work that I does not go unnoticed. Today was the the best yet, as I had no doubt he would do the correct job with his exceptional expertise. I wasn't nervous at all for the first time ever. I knew I was in the best hands out there. Thank you so much! Your staff and front desk are the best too.

Dr. Vasanthan and his team are the best professionals in their field. From the front office to the Dr'a care and efficiency, they are top notch. They leverage technology in assessment and communication that allows for a smooth and stress free experience. I highly recommend this office! Dr. Vasanthan is fantastic! I have had multiple procedures (unfortunately) with different offices from So cal to No cal- there is no comparison!

Perio Specialists were fantastic from start to finish! I can't recommend them enough. Dr. Vasanthan was wonderful- I had a bad experience 20 yrs ago with a root canal, so I was nervous- but he was kind, understanding & calming! Thanks Dr. Vasanthan!
