Dr. Michael K. McGuire, DDS, FICD, FACD, provides oral health and wellness to residents of Houston as part of the dental staff at Perio Health Professionals, enabling those with dental problems to lead normal lives.
Dr. McGuire is apast-chairman of the American Board of Periodontology and was president of the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation. He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Periodontology, the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, and the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants.
Dr. McGuire has authored more than 50 scientific articles and textbook chapters. He has also presented more than 200 continuing education programs, and lectured for both national and international audiences as an eminent speaker.

Long time patient, but this time I was there to see about a tooth implant. Dr. Scheyer very calmly laid out the procedure which greatly reduced my trepidation about the process. The dental hygenist (sorry I can't remember her name) was very gentle yet thorough in taking the X-rays prior to seeing Dr. Scheyer. A date has been set to start the procedure and I am no longer fearful about the process.

Very kind and professional staff. I needed some gum tissue removed from an implant post before I could have the crown reattached. I was in and out in about an hour. No pain afterword and my dentist said they did a great job.
