Perfect Smiles of Bensalem - General dentist in Bensalem, PA

At Perfect Smiles, we aim to create a friendly office environment for our patients. Our office and dental staff want patients of all ages to feel relaxed and comfortable. We are a family-oriented dental office. Our team takes the time to thoroughly educate patients about their care. We aim to provide patients with transparency through each step of the treatment process.

Additionally, as an office with multiple dental associates, we are able to provide comprehensive services. Members of our dental team have experience in providing patients with a variety of treatments. They include dental implants, periodontal therapy, TMJ treatment, sleep apnea appliances, cosmetic care, and general dental solutions.

  • CEREC: We use the Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramic (CEREC) method to create dental crowns. CEREC uses computer-aided design and manufacturing technology. With CEREC and CAD/CAM, we can mill crowns in our office using scans of the teeth. This allows patients to receive dental restorations in one office visit. Alternatively, it can take other dental offices several weeks to fabricate dental crowns.
  • CBCT Scans: Dental cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a technology that takes detailed scans of the mouth. To take a CBCT scan, the patient stands in the middle of the machine. As the machine rotates, it takes 3-D images. With CBCT scans, we can see details of the teeth, gums, nerves, and tissues. We often use CBCT scans to plan implants, oral surgery, and orthodontic treatment.
  • Intraoral Cameras: Intraoral cameras are handheld devices that are integral to patient education. With these cameras, we can show patients images of their mouths in real-time. The camera is connected to a screen so patients can see their teeth and gums. Intraoral cameras help patients better understand their own oral health.
  • Dental Implants: We can restore one or multiple lost teeth with dental implants. Implants are sturdy titanium posts surgically inserted in key areas of the mouth. After the implants fuse with the tissue of the jaw bone, we cap them off with an abutment and dental crown. Because we create custom-made dental crowns, our team ensures that a single implant, bridge, or denture looks natural.
  • Invisalign: Invisalign is a modern alternative to metal braces that can realign crooked teeth over time. This orthodontic treatment uses clear aligners. Invisalign aligners can be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing. Additionally, Invisalign aligners are custom-tailored to the patients smile, so they feel comfortable and look discreet.
  • Periodontal Therapy: Gum disease, also known as periodontitis, affects the health of the gum tissues. Over time, as periodontitis progresses, patients can experience bleeding gums, irritation, and gum recession. We use scaling and root planing as well as antibiotic therapy to treat gum disease. These treatments remove harmful bacteria from and beneath the gums.
  • Dr. Choi is a licensed periodontist who has 6 years of experience as a dental clinician and a pre-doctoral clinical instructor. She earned a dual degree specialty certificate in Periodontics and Periodontal Prosthesis from the University of Pennsylvania where she also obtained a Masters degree in Oral Biology. She received her D.M.D degree and completed an AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) residency program from Temple University. Before moving to the Philadelphia area, she lived in Cupertino, CA. She graduated from UC Davis with a dual degree in Studio Art and Biochemistry.

Dr. Choi has an extensive background in all periodontal procedures and full mouth implant rehabilitation. Dr. Choi has two happy sons, Trevor and Lucas and is expecting a baby girl, Hannah. In her free time Dr. Choi plays piano, violin and flute and paints with her kids. She is an avid travel enthusiast and skier.

Dr. Kim received his BS in Biology from Temple University. He then graduated from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in May of 2019. Dr. Kims mission is to provide all of his patients with the best in quality treatments while helping them attain exceptional oral health. Dr. Kim values building lasting relationships with his patients and treating them with the utmost care.

A terrible, uncaring place. Only go here if it's the last place on this planet and then they replaced all the receptionists and workers

What's the use of having a "request appointment" link on your website if no one checks the messages or calls you back? I've been waiting a week for either an email or phone call. Nothing. VERY disappointed long time patient. If anyone from the office sees this, please give me a call. You should have my number.

I started visiting Perfect Smiles in 2016, when I had a change in dental insurance. The place was tops when Dr. Gutman was in charge. Unfortunately, he is no longer a part of the practice and it shows. After 2 very, very bad experiences regarding cleanings, a botched filling, unprofessionalism at it's finest and seemingly, they're become quite money hungry, I suggest looking further than this practice.

Since Dr Gutman left I would highly advise staying away from this place.

Went to get a crown fixed that was done there 5 years ago. The doctor denied having done the work, sent me to two other specialists, and then refused to fix the crown. I was without a crown for 2+ months. Additionally, they like to add on items to the bill, which they refuse to go over with you before you leave, so you'll get a nice surprise in the mail. Poor work, poor service!

Very disappointed in this practice now. Dr. Gene would be just as disappointed that his practice that he built up and work so hard for has been abused this way. I've come here for over 20 years. Manager is not very nice and does not take ownership for what she says or does. So who do you go to to get this corrected? Another practice.

I was greeted right away by very friendly staff! They took my temp too. Jamie, my hygienist, was friendly and made me feel comfortable as soon as I sat down in the treatment chair. Dr. Patel was gentle and extremely knowledgeable and thoroughly explained my treatment plan! Thanks for a great experience!

I was refused service of a cleaning because I didn't want xrays. I recently had a broken tooth, root canal and a crown. I had xrays with each visit to fix those issues and was not comfortable with more xrays. The hygenist would not clean my teeth without the xrays. I will be looking for a different practice.

This place is a fraud. Everytime you come in they want to jack your bill up with x-rays 18 of them.... Went from a nice mom and pop shop to a complete money hungry machine. The office manager lied to my face and the woman who cleaned my teeth was a butcher. Been coming here for 28 years and never again.

Getting an appointment here is literally like pulling teeth... I had made an appointmet 6 months in advance and they called 2 weeks before my appointment to cancel and had no availability. Wouldn't recommend going here. Not wort waiting months just to be cancelled on.

My dentist merged with this practice and eventually retired I really like him and his staff. His merger at first was tentative for me but after one visit I was completely comfortable with them working on my teeth. I grew up with a bad experience with an unethical dentist. I am so happy with the merger. I have had Dr. Patel 3 times so far and she is awesome. The assistants and the entire staff are awesome. I highly recommend Perfect Smiles to all who may read this.
