I have been to many dentists and I have the worst anxiety when I'm getting any sort of work other than cleaning. I've put it off for way too long and when I went back, I had four cavities. Dr Cheng is amazing. I've told him about my anxiety and he makes me feel so comfortable and talks me through everything. He is quick and professional. I trust him with my teeth and no other dentist. He was in and out of my mouth in no time. His team is also incredible. Everyone that works there will make you feel like you're the only patient. When I tell you I have anxiety about dentists, I have anxiety: to the point that I shake and cry. During the procedure, Mike wiped my tears for me and helped me through my anxiety attack. I'm forever thankful for this office.

Absolutely terrible, we were just in there for removal of my SO's wisdom teeth. They completely botched this. Telling us multiple times that they would be under FULL SEDATION. Lied right to our faces they put my SO under partial sedation. They need to be under full sedation and we made that very clear. If you couldn't do that don't lie to us. I've heard nothing but bad things about this dentistry. Don't go to them travel if you need to. But, don't go here.

he is absolutely barbaric. i was a visitor from out of town. he told me i had the worst teeth in a 21 year old he's ever seen, i was in tears. he said to pull them all. he upset me so much i didn't go to a dentist again for 3-4 years. found out i only needed some pulled. if he didn't say that i would still have all my teeth. he should have his license taken.

The staff are wonderful; they are kind, easy to work with, highly organized and professional. And the doctor who did my extraction was very skilled, fast and knowledgeable. He practices his craft with honor and honesty, which is rare and means a lot to me as a patient. They are a very pleasant and hard working team, definitely worth the long hour drive from SC.

The dental crew I dealt was very welcoming and polite. The actual dentist!!!! That's another story. This guy was very much racist and rude. And left two pieces of tooth in my mouth and has yet to return a phone call

So thankful that I was always taught to follow my gut. Today I learned how valuable that is. I had an appointment with Perfect Smile Dentistry in Altoona to have two teeth extracted. I go to my appointment. I get my X-rays taken. Dentist said yep we need to take these two and I said okay. I laid back in the chair crossed my feet, crossed my arms, and opened wide. I was so ready to finally have this issue resolved. The Dentist said he was going to give me two shots of novocaine. Fine and dandy. First shot and instantly I lost vision in my left eye and my vision was doubled in my right eye. Immediately I said why can't I see?! Why can't I see?! Why is my vision double?! The Dentist said, "you're fine it's your nerves just close your eyes and we'll get the second shot in". I said NO why can't I see why are their two of you and two of her and two of that and two of this as I panicked. Again he said, "you're fine it's just your nerves just close your eyes". I said NO again. I made the assistant go get my Step Mom. And I explain to her how I cannot see out of my left eye and how my right eye is double. The Dentist was absolutely rude to my Step Mom and me. We left. We headed straight to UMPC Altoona. The Doctor said that it is very rare that this happens but it does happen. It happens when a dentist goes too deep with the novocaine and hits your optical nerves. I explained how the Dentist wanted to give me a second shot. The Doctor said it was a good thing I didn't allow him to because I could've had permanent damage. THANKFULLY my vision is returning. That was the scariest experience of my life! Mind you I have never had this reaction to novocaine. But I will ALWAYS follow my gut when something doesn't feel right or seem right. Even if it is a "dentist/doctor" who is insistent. I don't care how desperate you ever are for dental work. DO NOT EVER GO TO PERFECT SMILE IN ALTOONA, EVER!

Drops the crowns on the ground and proceeds to put them in your mouth. Don't let this guy numb more than 1 tooth or let his assistance do any work; You'll end up with more damage than you went with and you might even find a random cavity that was never there before.

Honestly I wish I could rate them a zero this is the worst place to go I really didn't even want to go here because of the other reviews but it was the only place I could find that took my insurance. I went in to get my wisdom teeth out and the dentist dr. Cheng was so set on taking all my cavities I insisted just my wisdom teeth they told me I would have to wait a month so I did June 2nd rolled around and I sit in the waiting room for almost an hour past my appointment finally they call me back then cheng once again talks about my other teeth I tell him no then they put me under after some time I wake up and start freaking out telling them I cannot breath the anesthesiologist proceeds to tell me he woke me up because I tried to punch him which I don't remember because I was under then as I am still trying to tell them I cannot breath he ripped my mouth open along with another nurse as dr cheng rips my tooth out finally and they help me start breathing better and the guy I think his name is dr long rips my iv out and try's to send me home the only nurse that was nice pointed out that my hand was bleeding so my mom comes back and notices I have blood all over me so I tell her what happened she proceeds to ask them what they did and dr. Long starts screaming at my mother finally a nurse steps between and let's us go it was the worst experience I will never go back and I'm literally traumatized from that dentist now they assaulted me physically and mentally so my advice do not go there and we are pursuing a lawsuit!!

I went to this dentist because he was the only one in the area that was in network with my insurance. I have been to many different dentists through the years but never had an experience like this. I was taken into the room and got in the chair and first thing I notice is the dentist constantly on his cell phone, back turned to me so I could see his phone and it wasn't business. Right away I got bad vibes. He looked in my mouth and said I had 5 cavities when I knew I only had 2. The vibes got worse with taking to him so I left quick and am willing to pay more to go back to the other dentist that I was comfortable and confident in. I checked the other reviews to see if my feelings were right and see now they were.

After working with our insurance provider for weeks, trying to find an Orthodontist for my 8 year old son, with a severe overbite, we found Perfect Smile. Even after a referral from our dentist and pre-approval from Aetna, Dr. Don Lamparski Jr. DMD, MSD refuses to see him. No explanations were given and we are now forced to search again. I would give this practice ZERO stars if I could. The poor ratings of this place is absolutely no surprise.

My daughter went here for her first dentist appointment ever yesterday. They didn't even see her for 2 minutes. It took me longer to fill out the paperwork then we were back there. Grant it she's only 3 so they only needed to look at her mouth but the dentist didn't even talk to her or me. He ignored my concerns about her teeth. And on top of that instead of asking her to open her mouth he grabbed her mouth and forced her to open it. Resulting in her crying. If I knew that's why she crying there I would've said something then I just thought she was scared. Do not see Dr.Cheng!!!!

The dentist was very careless. Despite me telling him that the numbing shot he gave me didn't work he continued to rip my tooth out. He said multiple teeth of mine needed removed and they are in perfect shape. He's a money hungry man who doesn't care about his patients at all. If I could have rated them a zero I definitely would have.
