Dr. Steve Hong graduated from Cornell University obtaining a B.A. in Biochemistry. He attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, earning his DMD in 2001. While attending dental school, Dr. Hong received the Navy Health Service Collegiate Program Scholarship, the catalyst to his enlisting in the United States Navy Dental Corp from 2001-2004 and ultimately earning the rank of Navy Lieutenant dental officer in Camp Lejeune, NC. During his service, he was deployed to Kuwait for five months and given the unique opportunity to serve as a lead dental officer in the Alpha Surgical Company in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Since being honorably discharged from the Navy, Dr. Hong has chosen to deliver the excellence in dentistry in a private practice setting by serving patients in South Jersey and Philadelphia. With a gentle hand and eye for perfection, Dr. Hong is adept in all facets of Comprehensive Dentistry, including routine fillings, cosmetic dentistry, crown and bridge, root canal therapies, oral surgery and implant dentistry. He is committed to listen with compassion and provide the utmost dental care to everyone who walks through the door.
Dr. Hong and his wife live in Moorestown, NJ with their two children. He is a member of the First Korean United Methodist Church of Cherry Hill, through which he has volunteered in dental mission trips to Dominican Republic and Haiti. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, biking, playing golf, and spending time with his family.

This place has been nothing but unprofessional in my interactions with them. I called in the beginning of August to set up a routine appt, and they gave me one for the end of September. 2 months is a long wait, but I was fine with it since I was a new patient and I understand that sometimes there is a wait. The day before my appt, I call their office twice to confirm but they never picked up. On the day of, I show up to my appt, only for them to tell me that they've been trying to reach me because they need to reschedule my appt. The number they had on file could not be further from my actual number, I have no idea where they got that number from. But fine, whatever, I reschedule with them for the end of October, which means another month wait. Two weeks later, they call me because they need to reschedule AGAIN. I already wanted to curse them out but remained respectful and calm. They wanted to reschedule me for the following day, telling me to come in "tomorrow," which actually would work out great for me. I've had teeth pain since I called in August, so I wasn't going to pass up the chance to come in sooner. Literally the next day, the day after they called to reschedule, they call me back to tell me that they have to cancel my appt because the xray machine wasn't working. Not only that, but that they would keep me on the schedule and call me back when it was working again to reschedule the appt. So I hung up the phone, now with no appt date or time. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. To this day, they have still not called me to reschedule. But it's okay because I went to another dental office instead and have had my teeth cleaned, set up an appt for a cavity fill, and have had my wisdom teeth extracted, all in the time since they have last cancelled on me. Would never even THINK about coming back here again.

My 6 Month cleaning was Great! Cheryl was very kind and gentle. I have been very nervous with other hygienists in the past but not with Cheryl. Thank you so much Cheryl. Thank you Dr. Steve Hong for looking over my teeth and giving me good advice. And I'm also very pleased with and thankful for Kathy's excellent customer service. How you are treated on the phone and in person by the office staff is so key. And Kathy and the other staff are very professional and caring.

Very friendly and professional staff. The dental hygienist is very gentle yet effective. When I had to have cavities filled the dentist did not even numb me and I barely felt a thing. Overall great experience each time I go!

Pennsauken Family Dental is an awesome establishment. The staff is knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Narine is the absolute best and Cheryl provided the best cleaning. I highly recommend PFD for all of your dental needs. They will not disappoint!

I Had to drive 55 minutes, 42 miles & got caught in morning traffic so I was 12 minutes late to my appointment. When I arrived I was told my appointment needed to be rescheduled. I was the first appointment of the day so being 12 mins late shouldn't have completely canceled my appointment especially when anytime anyone shows up for their appointment on time they have to wait to be seen. Extremely disappointing.

DR NARINE!!!! I couldn't speak higher of her if I tried, she is very knowledgeable, VERY INFORMATIVE, HONEST, genuine, and truly very kind. I had a tooth with very little chance of keeping it, 99 of 100 dentist would have just removed the tooth and called it a day, but she kept it honest with me, she told me she would try her best but no guarantee, I had a tooth with no filling because it fell about 8-9 MONTHS before I got to her, developed a cavity during that time on a tooth that already had previous filling. She performed the root canal and crowned it all successfully. I'm very grateful for her, I highly recommend her if you need some work done, make an appointment and ask specifically for her. Idk about the other dentist in the office but I could certainly attest for Dr NARINE. Her assistant is very nice as well, they make a great team together! Thank you Dr. Narine and Marie!

I Appreciate the friendly and experienced customer service. Cheryl did a great job taking X-rays and cleaning my teeth. Dr. Hong is very nice and helpful. He followed up checking my teeth after the cleaning. The office staff was very pleasant and helpful.
