Dr. Penniall graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He earned his DDS fromUniversity of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2003. Dr. Penniall opened Penniall Family Dental in Saint Charles in 2005. He grew up in the area and wanted to return to serve the community. He believes in educating his patients and thoroughly explaining his treatment plan. Dr. Penniall sees each patient as is a unique individual and with unique desires and needs. It is his pleasure to get to know each patient personally.
Dr. Penniall is a member of the Chicago Dental Society, American Dental Association and the Illinois State Dental Society. He serves as an Executive Board Member for the Fox River Valley Dental Society. Dr. Penniall believes it is his honor and duty to give back to his community. He provides dental care for those who may not otherwise have access by participating in Dentists with a Heart. He lives in St. Charles with his wife and four kids, Jack, Sam, Ella and Grace. When he isnt in the office, you might catch him on stage playing his bass or attending a concert or sporting event. Dr. Penniall is an avid sports and music fan.
Sara grew up in the St. Charles area graduating from St. Charles North High School. She then went on to Harper College where she completed the dental hygiene program, graduating Sigma Pi Alpha. Sara has been a hygienist at Penniall Family Dental since 2014. In her free time, she loves outdoor activities like boating, hiking, and snowboarding but also enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. Sara and her husband live locally with their beloved cat, Harley. She loves working with her patients and helping educate them on how to achieve a healthy beautiful smile.
Donna grew up in Mokena, IL and moved to the St. Charles area in 1995 after getting married to her husband Keith. She began her career in the dental field in orthodontics and worked as an assistant in a general practice until her hygiene graduation. In 2000, Donna started practicing dental hygiene after graduating with honors from Harper College. She joined the team at Penniall Family Dental in 2017. When away from the office, Donna enjoys spending time with her husband Keith and sons Everett and Gray. Her boys keep her busy with lacrosse and golf. The family loves to travel and Donna has discovered a passion for sky diving. Donna focuses on dental hygiene as an integral part of total health and a strong immune system.
Rachel started in the dental field at age 18 working as receptionist and assistant, but her love for dentistry started when she was about 14. She knew she wanted to serve and aid the public but wasnt sure how to go about that. Rachel studied dental hygiene at Harper College, graduating in 2015. Rachel feels so passionately about dentistry, she volunteers in a free dental clinic in her spare time. Rachel joined the Penniall Family Dental team in 2016. Outside of the office Rachel has two fur babies (dogs) that keep her busy and enjoys to cooking for her fianc Duane.
Christine graduated from Harper College as a medical office assistant and has many years of experience working in pediatrics and ob/gyn. Her passion for health and wellness took her to the chiropractic field working as a licensed technician for the past 6 years. Shes excited to be a part of the Penniall Family Dental team after being a patient here for years! In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband Randy, 2 children and 2 dogs. When Christine is away from the office she can be found traveling to the beach and gardening.

Very pleased with the entire Penniall staff so far. My family is new to the practice after our former Dentist sold her practice. It was hard to find a new dentist in the area and we are very happy to find Penniall.

When you arrive at Penniall Family Dental, the first thing you'll notice is a friendly and happy staff that appear to enjoy their jobs. I had arrived for to get a tooth ache looked at and possibly have a filling done. I was immediately seated, had x-rays done, and didn't wait very long at all for Dr. Penniall to show up to talk to me about my cavity. When he did, he was patting himself on the back for being a dentist that plays Ozzy Osborne in his office. In fact, Mama I'm Coming Home from the former Black Sabbath singer was playing over the speaker system. You can tell Dr. Penniall has a strong rapport with his staff as they entered casual conversation during my procedure. More importantly though, he made sure to include me in the conversation (despite my mouth being full of dental tools) and didn't just speak to each other, but to me as well. The entire experience, despite having a cavity requiring a filling, was a very pleasant one. Dr. Penniall was up front about the procedure and fit me in immediately even though I had only arrived for a consultation. He was reassuring and made me feel comfortable in his practice, something most dentists fail to do. His staff was friendly and seemed like they were happy working there. The entire ordeal took an hour and a half with minimal waiting. As long as I'm in the area, I'll be visiting Penniall for any dental needs.

Best dentist around. I've been a patient of Dr. Penniall's since 2010. He has gotten me out of some painful tooth situations (often on an emergency basis) and has helped guide me to better overall oral health. He is honest and I truly enjoy seeing the dentist.

I have been a patient for 10+ years. Doc Brian and his staff and the best in the business. Over the years I have dreaded going to doctors (especially dentists), but the environment they have created at Penniall is second to none. All medical professionals could stand to learn from what they have created and how they interact with people. I always enjoy the banter with Doc Brian and I always leave thinking how lucky I was to stumble upon his practice. If I ever move to another state he would still be my dentist, he's that good.

I absolutely love Dr. Penniall he put me completely at ease. I would avoid dentists because I would feel insecure but I don't feel that when I go here. His staff are incredible.

After suffering for about 20 years of extreme fear of anything dentist-related, I found myself at Penniall Family Dentistry. I had seen multiple dentists over the years, but the fear continued to increase which resulted in needing to take anxiety medication even for a cleaning. After just 2 visits to Penniall (both cleanings), I felt comfortable enough to finally have my fillings done. When I went in for my filling, I was nervous and crying and trying to find any excuse to leave. Dr. Penniall and his staff were great- they explained every part of the procedure and talked to me about my past experiences which led to all of this anxiety. Once I calmed down, the filling procedure started. I kept waiting for the pain or pinch or pressure to come, but it never did. I had never experienced a pain-free filling until now. I still can't believe that it's SUPPOSED to be pain-free. I immediately scheduled an appointment for the additional fillings I needed and went to that appointment without any hesitation. It's a huge relief to finally be able to go to the dentist without having a panic attack. For anyone who suffers from a dental phobia, I couldn't suggest Dr. Penniall more. I will never go anywhere else and I'll never delay any dental work again.
