Dr. Robert Penna's roots in the Wilmington community began with his days at Archmere Academy, graduating as a proud member of the Class of 1985. Dr. Penna then attended the University of Notre Dame, graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree, before attending the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. After completing a general practice residency in dentistry at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, he went on to earn his Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1996 and has been creating generations of beautiful smiles ever since.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Penna serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He is also a published author in the American Journal of Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He strives to stay on the cutting-edge of the latest advancements in his field of specialty through active memberships with the following professional organizations:
