These fantastic people are not only experts at their individual jobs but they are also friendly, caring, and compassionate people. Our team is made up of people you can trust and like one patient said, I never thought I could enjoy going to the dentist but I do. Everyone at the office is so kind. You can tell they are all friends.
Its a pleasure to introduce myself to you. As long as I can remember I have wanted a career that allowed me to spend my days with people. Many years ago I spent a day with a dentist, in order to see if it might be what I was looking for. I came away from that day excited. Dentistry was something that would allow me to use my natural artistic ability and work with people. Once I found that path I stayed on it and after years of schooling I got my degree.
I decided that I wanted additional training and completed an advanced training residency. This was optional but allowed me to really fine tune my skills. I then went on to work in a private practice. When the time came for me to move and settle down, Port Townsend called to us. And here we are!
I remember what it is like to be the patient. I consider this a strength of mine. When we meet at the dental office I will do all I can to make you feel comfortable and at ease. I love that part of my job. I also love that I get to be a part of so many different peoples day. I get to spend time with kids (Its always a goal of mine to have them smiling and laughing whenever possible). I get to spend time with adults (they always have the best tips on the area). I also love the dentistry. I love improving smiles. I love watching peoples reactions when they look at the work that has been done. Its pretty great being able to help people all day.
I believe in continuing to learn and keep up on current dental issues. I participate in CE courses, attend conference and can often be found researching things on my own. I am committed to what I do and want to offer each patient the best treatment available. Outside of the office I spend my time with my beautiful wife (who you will hopefully all get to meet sometime) and kids (if they are around you wont be able to miss them- if you dont see them you will hear them). They keep me pretty busy. We are always out playing together, working in the yard and having adventures.
As an individual and as a family we are excited to be a part of this community. We have been swept away by the beauty of this area and keep finding new places to explore. We love the people that live here. We are community people and want to spend our time contributing to it.

Peninsula Family Dental has taken COVID precautions seriously, implementing many safety protocols. Office staff are friendly and helpful. The two hygienists that I have seen have both been very thorough, gentle and attentive in their care. Dr. Fordham has a steady and sure hand with an easy and calm demeanor. Highly recommend Peninsula Family Dental.

Dr. Fordham and his whole team are great. I've always felt comfortable with the care I receive here. Wendy is absolutely awesome though! She is so thorough, kind and truly cares. I left the office feeling validated and like I have a plan for my care now because of her.

An amazing dentist and dental practice. I broke a tooth at work and they got me in right away. Dr Fordham found it was actually an old crown that had cracked! He tested to see if there was any pain or sensitivity. There was not, so they explained everything to me, made a plan of care and I am happy as a clam. Thank you. Peninsula family dental!

Wendy is the greatest dental hygienist ever, and I will stay with Dr. Tyler Fordham and his team for as long as I live. Everything is explained before it's done, the equipment is all state-of-the-art, and everyone in the office is kind, pleasant and helpful. A five-star operation all the way!

I was given an appointment within 24 hours of my phone call to have an 8-year old crown that popped off reseated. The first question the receptionist, who is a trained dental assistant, asked when I told her what happened was , " Are you in pain?" When I told her no, she said that she couldn't get me in that day, but definitely could the next morning. I was in and out within 15 minutes. I'm confident that if I had been in pain that I would have been seen the same day. Everyone was pleasant, following and surpassing the strict Covid19 medical sanitary procedures. One of the front desk workers greeted me and opened the door for me to enter; she observed when I was ready to leave and opened the door for me to exit allowing me to refrain from touching anything in public areas
