Endodontics (from the Greek endo 'inside'; and odons 'tooth') deals with the tooth pulp and the tissues surrounding the root of a tooth. If the pulp (containing nerves, arterioles, venules, lymphatic tissue, and fibrous tissue) becomes diseased or injured, endodontic treatment is required to save the tooth.
Dr. Jordan is a native of Virginia. She was raised in rural eastern North Carolina in a small town, Oak City. She attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington graduating with a BS in Biology. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry where she received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Jordan journeyed back to North Carolina to attend an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Jordan practiced in Virginia as a general dentist for almost four years prior to entering the endodontic program at Virginia Commonwealth University. During her time as a general dentist, Dr. Jordan worked with children for one year then entered academics in the Department of General Practice. She taught first year dental students Fundamentals of Occlusion as well as treated patients in the Faculty Practice.
Dr. Jordan is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Pennisula Dental Society, and Norman Lassiter/Old Dominion Dental Society.

Kind and Compassionate: My experience with Dr. Jordan was superb from making the emergency appointment to finishing treatment. Front office staff were friendly and professional. Dr. Jordan and her assistant were very thorough explaining diagnosis and treatment clearly ,patiently answering all of my questions. During the procedure, they made every effort to avoid discomfort as much as possible.

Appt was made last week. Drove 55 mi. One-way this am. Arrived at 730 am to have a rude receptionist tell me my appt had been cancelled and she had called me over the weekend informing me. I had no call or record of a call. She may have called somebody but not me or my. family.

Dr Jordan and Gabby were terrific!! Going to the dentist for an emergency can be a little stressful, but their professionalism and expertise were apparent, and I knew I was in good hands. I highly recommend them!!

Dr. Jordan and her staff provided exceptional care during my procedure last week. This was my first root canal and everyone took the time to explain what they were doing and make sure that I was comfortable throughout the appointment. Go to Peninsula Endodontics and see Dr. Jordan if you want perfect endodontics care! From my first phone call until post recovery, Dr. Jordan, her assistant - Jessica, and the entire team provided exceptional service! Dr. Jordan is extremely skilled, accurate, and absolutely brilliant! She has outstanding bedside manners, gave me undivided attention, answered all my questions, and kept me informed pre-, post, and during my entire procedure. Jessica expertly assisted and maintained a cheerful, positive attitude during execution of all her duties. I appreciate how COVID-conscious the entire clinic is, giving patients complete safety and assurance that they're doing everything to keep us all safe. I can't say enough amazing things about this place. I recently moved to the Williamsburg area and was referred here after a root canal gone wrong (outside of VA) caused me to seek some followup care. Dr. Jordan and staff were incredibly attentive and caring. I've never experienced better bedside manner than here. My financial quote and responsibility was up front and transparent before anything was started. I was walked through every step of the procedure and in my vast experiences with dentist, this far surpassed my expectations. Thank you Penisula Endodontics, and while I hope to never have to come back, if I do you will be the only consideration.

My experience with Dr. Jordan and her staff on Oct. 16, 2020 was beyond successful. I admire the confidence level that Dr. Jordan and her surgical assistant emitted during the surgery and felt comfortable right away with them.My anticipation of the unexpected root canal was filled with anxiety. The two had a high level of professional composure as a team and practical read one another's mind. They were efficient, informative, and so in sync with one another that I was truly amazed by the ease of the event. They kept me informed along the way (which was about 2 hours )..Post Op I took tylenol and never had swelling, pain or discomfort at all. This root canal was totally unlike a root canal experience some years ago in a different practice. This team has state of the art equipment but more importantly a bedside manner beyond compare. I was experiencing moderate to severe ear/jaw pain and not sure where it was coming from. I went to Dr. Jordan, who tested three teeth in that general area to identify the tooth causing the pain. She immediately knew the tooth and was able to perform a root canal that same day. I am thankful to her and her staff for being gentle with me and compassionate regarding the paint I was in. Recently, I had problems with severe pain in my lower jaw. Two of my crowns seemed to be the problem but the cause could not be detected by a general dentist. I was not sure what to do or where to go to get help. My grandson's Pediatric Dentist was in Williamsburg. I was impressed with her and her staff so I decided to look there and I found Peninsula Endodontics right across the street. What a joy and relief it was to find Dr. Jordan! She worked me into her schedule that week. She and her staff were absolutely wonderful. They quickly diagnosed my problem. I had a couple of procedures performed and now I'm free of pain.
