Dr. James B. Wisner was raised in Charleston and attended Porter-Gaud High School. He graduated from The Honors College at The University of South Carolina in 1996 and received his D.M.D. degree in 2002 from the Medical University of South Carolinas College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Wisner served in Las Vegas, Nevada and Spangdahlem, Germany as a Captain in the United States Air Force for three years where he completed an AEGD residency and was certified in Intravenous Conscious Sedation. Dr. Wisner is an active member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE) and The Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), as well as the American Dental Association (ADA) and South Carolina Dental Association (SCDA). He has completed advanced training in Implant Surgery, Adult Orthodontics, Botox and Facial Esthetics, Cerec Same-Day Crowns, 3D CBCT Imaging, and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Originally from a small town in northern New York State, Meaghan attended State University of New York at Potsdam. In 2013, Meaghan obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communications. After graduation, Meaghan and her boyfriend Leigh decided to move to Charleston to begin a new life in the lowcountry.
After becoming involved in the dental community, Meaghan decided to pursue her passion for dental hygiene by enrolling in the dental hygiene program at Trident Technical College in Charleston, South Carolina. Since receiving her state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist, Meaghan strives to give her patients the best quality of care in a positive, friendly manor. For each patient she treats, Meaghan dedicates herself to educating patients on their oral health needs which in turn, helps them to maintain a systemic healthy lifestyle.

Dr Forehand was amazing. My last visit I wasn't informed until I arrived that he had left the practice and would be seeing someone new. This should have been informed to me prior, but I continued with the visit. I was then placed with metal spacers in my mouth even after informing everyone I had pain im that side of my jaw due to tmj. Here I am nearly a year later the cavity has shipped and my mouth hurts worse than before. I will never return to this practice.

The BEST dentist. Megan the hygienist is always so professional and thorough! Every time I have a visit here the staff from the front desk to back are always so efficient and courteous. Dr. McPherson is an amazing dentist and always takes time to explain everything in a way that makes sense. I will only go to Peninsula for all my dental needs!

I've moved to Summerville but this is still my dentist office because I know I will not receive better care elsewhere. The staff is wonderful and professional. The doctors are very personable and thorough. The hygienist are very gentle and accommodating. I cannot say enough about this team.

Absolutely phenomenal dental office. Not only are the dentists outstanding at their craft but, like every person in the office, they are incredibly friendly and genuine. And that is so important. I earnestly recommend Peninsula if you are looking for the highest quality care, expertise and, equally important, quality people. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Great environment. Everyone was very friendly and informative and I'm glad we went here. I was very nervous but I knew after coming here she was in great hands!! Would never go to anyone else so if you need a lip tie or tounge tie done I suggest you go here!!!

If I could give them a hundred stars then I would. They are the most amazing dentist office that I have ever visited. They are so professional and so personable. They made me feel at ease and I am so glad that I chose them. I would highly recommend them. The doctor went above and beyond to assist my family before and after surgery. The only critique that I can offer is that when I tried to cancel a 2nd follow-up appointment, the receptionist who answered the phone was a little pushy. She didn't know that I had already spoke with the doctor on this matter so she was just doing her job, im sure. Overall they are awesome andI wish Caitlin McPherson nothing but success for years to come!

I love going to the Dentist at Peninsula Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, everyone is so nice, their office is nice & clean and they have a good Covid plan in place with seeing patients. Our whole family has been coming here for years, we actually all look forward to going to the dentist.

I had a very warm welcome to Peninsula Denistry on Monday. August 22nd. I was greeted by Caille in the waiting room and she served me immediately. I had a very good cleaning of my oral cavity by Callie and Dr. Wisner confirmed it. Overall I had an excellent visit. The staff was very friendly and courteous.
