Peninsula Community Health Services was founded in 1987 as a community clinic in downtown Bremerton and became a federally qualified health center (FQHC) in 1995. PCHS includes primary medical, dental, behavioral health counseling, substance use treatment, pharmacy services, and health education and promotion activities for all stages of life. Services are provided to all patients regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. PCHS patients may qualify for a sliding fee discount based on their household income and family size. PCHS delivers a comprehensive and integrated approach to health care services and has many sites accredited as a Patient-Centered Medical and Dental Home by the Accreditation for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

PCHS strives to eliminate healthcare disparities in our community. We have medical and dental clinics located throughout Kitsap and Mason Counties and a dedicated team working together to create a care plan thats right for you. We also bring that care directly to our patients who cant easily make it into our traditional clinics through our mobile clinics, school-based health centers, and by partnering with our community service agencies to deliver care on their premises.

Here at PCHS, our guiding principle is to see and value every person. We believe all patients have the right to be treated with respect and dignity with an acknowledgment that this includes their cultural, social, spiritual, and personal values and beliefs.

Were dedicated to tailoring our services to our community, and constantly look for ways to improve our organization to better serve the residents of the Kitsap County area. The majority of our Board of Director members are patients of PCHS. You can become a board member, too, by filling out our application.

I have a form of side cleft palate. I have never had teeth on the upper left. I had developed issues with chewing on the right side. Two fillings had broken and I could barely chew on that side which is how I eat. It was getting tough and they got me right in. They not only filled my two teeth but they built up the tooth surface! This made it easier to eat then it ever has been in my life! Eating on one side is hard enough but worse when your teeth don't meet. They did a teeth cleaning and it was the best one I have ever had. Please give this dental clinic a chance to help you! I am so grateful!

The lady at the front desk comes across as little abrupt. Otherwise positive experience. Dr. Smith is good with kids.

Horrible service. Twice I arrived for my appointment to have a simple chipped tooth repaired and twice I left without having any work done due to how disorganized this unprofessional dentist is.

Absolutely the worst experience that I've had in my life with any dentist or doctor for that matter. Went in thinking I would be getting a filling and only to be told I had to come back for it and that if your BP is too high, they would not be able to do it and I should get a referral for blood pressure meds! I told them I have severe dental anxiety and asked if they have options for patients with dental anxiety, etc. The bedside manner was awful, cold and definitely not caring about the patient's needs. Their process was rather robotic and I told the hygienist I would never be back as it was the worst experience I've ever had. Not a calming environment at all and I left basically in tears because my experience was that awful. I'm not sure how they are still in practice. Just avoid!! Much better dental offices here that will actually calm and ease your mind as well as be supportive of their patient's needs.

Initial dental exam was standard prep for cleaning. Scheduled a cleaning 4 months out, they refused the cleaning starting that my bp was too high 160/110. My bp was the same as when they did the initial screening, there was no mention other than asking if I was monitoring. To schedule a cleaning without stating your concern or giving a heads up that you would like to consult my primary is unreasonable. Their expectation was to schedule 4 months out and try again. My business will go elsewhere.

These guys and gals are WONDERFUL! I have two extremely sensitive and apprehensive boys who had zero experience with the dentist. After two teeth being pulled and a couple cleanings, I'm confident to review the dentists and staff as a terrific care team! They've done a wonderful job for us over the last year and we are so lucky to have them in Poulsbo!

Staff, hygienists, and dentist were all friendly. I would have had a good experience here except for the fact that the hygienist who was looking at my X-rays on the computer (a few feet behind me while I was in the dentist chair), took off her mask. I didn't notice at first (as I was facing away from her in the chair), but when I turned around she was sitting just a few feet from me on her phone with her mask pulled off. I quickly put mine back on (I had taken it off for dental work obviously) but didn't quite know what to say. When the dentist came about 7 or 8 minutes later she finally put her mask back on. I understand that it is difficult to wear a mask at work, but it's incredibly inappropriate during this time to remove one for a prolonged period of time right next to a patient. I live with two elderly parents, both of whom have underlying conditions and are at serious risk for covid. I am now incredibly hesitant to return even though few other clinics will take my insurance.

I would just go somewhere else for dental work. Good luck getting an appointment anyways, it seems like all their staff only work partial weeks. As for the staff that's actually there, pretty unhelpful and unprofessional all around.
