Peninsula Community Health Services was founded in 1987 as a community clinic in downtown Bremerton and became a federally qualified health center (FQHC) in 1995. PCHS includes primary medical, dental, behavioral health counseling, substance use treatment, pharmacy services, and health education and promotion activities for all stages of life. Services are provided to all patients regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. PCHS patients may qualify for a sliding fee discount based on their household income and family size. PCHS delivers a comprehensive and integrated approach to health care services and has many sites accredited as a Patient-Centered Medical and Dental Home by the Accreditation for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

PCHS strives to eliminate healthcare disparities in our community. We have medical and dental clinics located throughout Kitsap and Mason Counties and a dedicated team working together to create a care plan thats right for you. We also bring that care directly to our patients who cant easily make it into our traditional clinics through our mobile clinics, school-based health centers, and by partnering with our community service agencies to deliver care on their premises.

Here at PCHS, our guiding principle is to see and value every person. We believe all patients have the right to be treated with respect and dignity with an acknowledgment that this includes their cultural, social, spiritual, and personal values and beliefs.

Were dedicated to tailoring our services to our community, and constantly look for ways to improve our organization to better serve the residents of the Kitsap County area. The majority of our Board of Director members are patients of PCHS. You can become a board member, too, by filling out our application.

On my last review I had complained but they heard about it and I appreciate them calling me and took care of the problem. They showed how much they care. They are a good company.

Usually my experience was good until my last appointment. The lady who was doing my teeth. She tells me my teeth are irritated after She scraps with her tool. I brush my teeth before I went they didn't look irritated. Of course my gums are irritated because of the tool she was using. She used a needle to numb my teeth, this is not my first time being at a dentist I know there was a gentle oppion. I was crying the whole time while she was working on my mouth. I've never had a doctor telling me at a certain age the denial work will get more intense until that appointment. I am now afraid to be going to the next dentist appointment. I am usually not afraid but that was a painful experience.

I have been trying to get seen for almost a year. I got an emergency appointment a few months back because I told them I'm in a lot of pain. After waiting months for my emergency appointment, the dentist spent less than 10 seconds in my mouth before telling me I'll be fine until an actual appointment. For reference I have a LOT of cavities (perks of growing up poor) and I've been trying to get them all worked on so I won't be in pain anymore. They have cancelled, rescheduled, cancelled, rescheduled, etc ever since and I haven't been seen since. The last time they cancelled was a few days before my appointment. I can't afford to go elsewhere and despite brushing and flossing everyday, my cavities are growing it's been awful. My other two critiques. The dentist shamed me for my teeth despite not knowing I didn't have the resources until these past few years to take care of them properly. And I don't mean telling me bluntly what's going on with my teeth, I mean actively making me feel bad for it by telling me I wouldn't be sitting in her chair if I would just brush my teeth (again... I do everyday). And the other additional issue was a woman I kept getting when calling to set up an appointment. She was nice but she would mess up the appointment and end up calling me back multiple times in the following days to fix her error. This alone wouldn't be the worst, but she also would talk to me about her personal life and the phone calls would end up upwards of 30 minutes entirely because of that. I just found a new cavity and I'm heartbroken that I've had this much trouble with something that's this painful. I just want my teeth to be as healthy as they can be and this experience has been so exhausting..

This is where I go for dental. The hygienist is really nice and makes you feel comfortable while you're there. Have always been seen on time . Dentist is very thorough and friendly. Would recommend anyone go there

Great dental clinic that is gentle and thorough. I avoided going to a dentist until my wife recommended them and I don't feel overly anxious about visiting the dentist now. Very informative staff and great bedside manor. There's plenty of parking and on a bus line, plan accordingly.

Same day appointment, dental tech was very friendly, dentist seemed cool & front desk was also very nice edit: come to think about it, they should have provided me much more information. It was my first filling and I had to Google what not to do anf such. I wasn't even sure if i should be brushing it right away. I may have accidentally done things i wasn't supposed to?

Avoid if you can all but help it. This is assuredly a "practice", and is totally hit and miss (mostly missing). I was sent home with a 101 fever going into shock from a infection because I was unable to pee for them.. Never mind the dehydration, fever and sweating out fluids as quickly as I took them in.

I've been going here for about six years. MY PCP is Anthony Lyon-Loftus, who I just discovered is also the Assistant Medical Director. Tony is among the top physicians I've enjoyed handling my medical care in my entire adult life, which has gotten to be considerable in years. With every visit, Tony sits in a chair and scoots it near me so that it's clear I have his total attention. He listens to everything I have to say (which can also be considerable), and assists me in prioritizing what issue is to be handled during that visit, with a complete recital of the plan for treatment, referral to specialist (if any), medications, and setting up the follow up visit. The man has an encyclopedic knowledge of medical information in general and my medical history specifically. Every specialist to which I have been referred has been superb. I trust Tony with my medical care completely. The only negative I can think of is that since he also has the best medical assistants that it's been my joy to work with, he keeps running through them since they keep being promoted and moving to other offices. If I was in medical school or newly-graduated, Tony would be the physician I'd want to be assigned to. The attached pharmacy also deserves recognition. Pharmacists and staff rotate among the different medical clinics. My two favorite pharmacists are Josef Milde and Kelsey Rasmussen. Not only are they just plain enjoyable to work with, they have given me important, critical information about my prescription meds most pharmacists never impart to customers. They--along with pharmacy techs like Ken--are the main reason why I use the PCHS pharmacy--which is closed on weekends and for 1 hour M-F, instead of transferring my prescriptions to a more convenient supermarket pharmacy. Both Josef and Kelsey are aware of my prescription meds history or can always find it in the computer system. They have also taken to the time to research information about my prescriptions over the phone when I had important questions or issues. At the P.O. clinic, I've enjoyed great medical care. There's also an on-site lab for blood work and other tests. Their system-wide online Patient Portal is well-designed, and I typically receive a reply to my message within 24 hours if I sent it during the week. These are all reasons why I'll continue to remain a very satisfied patient there.

Well they are not considerate to single parents with children i have some issues with my teeth and they have done nothing but reschedule me especially when i have my kids in a stroller sleeping. They are not accommodating and there words were " come back when you dont have kids!" Finding a new dentist .

Receptionist was very unprofessional and announcing private and personal information in front of the whole waiting room and embarrassed my 12 year old child and myself and wife.
