Dr. Jennifer Southard is a native of central Indiana. She grew up in Noblesville and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Butler University in 2009. During her time there, she played on the Butler womens soccer team, serving as team captain for two years. She went on to pursue a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Indiana University School of Dentistry, graduating in 2013. Dr. Southard enjoys dentistry because it is fun, artistic, and challenging.
Dr. Southard enjoys developing relationships with her patients and their families. She values improving the quality of life for patients and recognizes the impact of good oral health on systemic well-being. She is consistently driving to learn and expand on the latest techniques and technologies.
When Dr. Southard is not at the office, she enjoys working out and running, especially outside. She enjoys cooking and creating new recipes in the kitchen. Mostly, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Matt, and their cat, Wesley.

I recently switched to seeing Dr. Southard for my dental needs as I was seeing a dentist for years that provided teeth maintenance but never went above and beyond to point out problems that could arise and often wrote off my teeth sensitivity and pain as sensitive enamel. I decided to switch after I had an emergency root canal on a tooth that had likely been infected for months. The dentist/endodontist who I had to see for my emergency root canal was out of town and recommended that when I return home to Indy to give Dr. Southard a try not only because she was an excellent dentist but also a kind and caring individual. From my very first appointment I could tell that Dr. Southard was someone I could trust with my dental health. Her and her team listened to my dental anxieties and treated me with empathy. Dr. Southard completed a full dental check (the most thorough dental check I have ever received) and created a treatment plan to get my teeth back into tip top shape. I am currently in the middle of my treatment plan and I am so happy that I found Pendleton family dentistry. I will happily drive 45 minutes from Indy anytime as I know that the treatment I am receiving is not only top notch but genuine!!

Use to be a great place. However the staff changes more than usual. Had 6 different hygienist in 2 yrs. Last time I went in the whole office staff was new. Not sure what is up with that. I am a retired soldier and constant change is not a good sign.

I had flown in from out of town to Chicago for a long term business assignment and was on a multi-city trip for sales sales calls. I was working out one morning without my bite guard and broke my leftmost crown on my wisdom. Dr Jen was able to see me same day to sand down and get a temp crown on. Pain was gone and she moved so fast that I was able to get a permanent crown the next week. Excellent bedside manner and awesome front desk service. If I pass through Indy again will use Dr Jen as my primary dentist.

I hate going to the dentist, I'm such a chicken! Everyone here is so patient and kind! From the front office to the assistant to the Dr.. They do everything possible to keep me comfortable and pain free. I appreciate that they work with me on my fears. Highly recommend!

Had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Southard and her staff! I haven't had dental work done in a few years and the whole process was very smooth and straightforward. A lot of my anxieties were put to ease by the staff and doctor. Doctor and staff were also highly informative and professional. Will definitely be returning for all my future dental needs!

I recently had somewhat urgent dental needs and Dr. Southard and her staff made time in their already-full schedule (twice!) to treat me and treat me with care and skill. Everyone at Pendleton Family Dentistry has such a kind and helpful demeanor. And despite being 40 minutes from my apartment, I will continue to get my dental care here and you should too!

I visited Pendleton Family Dentistry this week for a broken temporary filling that I have been putting off fixing for quite some time. Dr. Southard said I needed to have a permanent crown for the tooth. She was able to fit me in and get it accomplished very quickly. I am extremely happy with the results as I am now able to chew on that side without any pain. Dr. Southard and her staff are extremely knowledgeable and they perform their jobs with the utmost care and professionalism. My wife and kids will be switching to her practice for their dental care and I highly recommend them to anyone who has dental needs.
