Dr. Rich Gilbert graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry with High Honors and went on to obtain a Fellowship in Implant Dentistry, as well as a Mastership in General Dentistry (only local dentist to achieve this certification!). The Mastership Award is the Academy of General Dentistrys highest honor and one of the most respected designations within the profession. To earn this award Dr Rich completed 1,100 hours of continuing education and joins only 2,300 active Masters worldwide! Additionally, he has completed advanced training in the dental based treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea as an alternative to CPAP therapy. Dr. Rich Gilbert grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he graduated as salutatorian from St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Dr. Rich went on to graduate magna cum laude from the University of Florida with a BA in Finance. He then earned his doctor of dental medicine from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. While in dental school, he met his wife and dental practice partner, Lacy. They both completed orthodontic courses while in dental school to become certified Invisalign providers. Upon graduating with high honors, Dr. Rich moved to Jacksonville where he ran a successful practice and gained fast experience in root canal treatments, childrens dentistry, and working with anxious or phobic patients.
Dr. Lacy Gilbert graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at UCLA and earned a Mastership in Dental Implants, as well as a Fellowship in General Dentistry which requires 500 hrs of continuing education and passing a comprehensive written exam!
A second generation dentist, Dr. Lacy is a Bonita Springs, FL native. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Food Science and Human Nutrition with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Florida. After completing her undergraduate studies, Dr. Lacy went on to attend the University of Florida College of Dentistry where she met Dr. Rich. She received the Quintessence Award in Clinical Achievement for restorative dentistry skills.
Dr. Lacy has also received the Southeastern Academy of Prosthodontics Outstanding Senior Award and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Following graduation, Dr. Lacy moved to southern California to complete her Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of California in Los Angeles. In addition to traditional residency experience, this intensive residency also included training and education in complex dental cases to include periodontal therapies, oral surgery, and dental implant placement.

A very nice and professional dental practice. I just moved down full -time to the area. Very nervous about my first dental exam. Made me pay for 2 kinds of X rays then said they weren't good enough and more were needed before doing work. Doesn't make sense, if they can't get the picture they should retake it instead of charging for it. Feels like a scam.

Dr. Mauricio Anda was AMAZING. I called the office on a Monday morning at 8am and they got me in to fix my filling at 9am. From walking in the office staff was kind and welcoming. They made me, someone who has major dentist anxiety, feel comfortable and in safe hands.

There is no other dentistry practice that my husband and I would go to in the State of Florida. We trust Dr. Rich and his staff without question. I have a wonderful hygienist, Connie that is just spectacular. His office staff greets you with a smile on their face and I have to say you don't always get greeted as well in other offices. Whoever is managing this staff gets accolades from us because this is a very happy staff - so whatever they are doing, please keep doing it. It is always a pleasure walking in their and greeted by these wonderful, qualified people. You did good Drs. Rich and Lacy - you did very good!

I can't imagine going anywhere else for my dental care. I have had extensive care down to simple cleaning and they always do a great job and most importantly making sure I am comfortable during each procedure. Mike, Dr Josh, Cheyenne and Debbie are all so caring and so very professional.

Great happy office, I don't like going to the dentist, but the staff and dentist at Pelican Landing Dental made it easy and comfortable. They made my appointment with the dental surgeon, and took care of all the details. Very caring and thoughtful. Dr Gilbert explained all the procedures. I asked about pricing and was given a detailed list. They could not have done more to make my visit as comfortable as possible.
