Compassionate, dynamic dentist with two decades of dental experience, Dr. Markovitch is well versed in both general and cosmetic dentistry. Always smiling and happy, Dr. Markovitch makes his patients feel at ease while the most innovative care is being delivered. Dr. Markovitch is an active member of the community and is well respected by his colleagues and patients alike.
An Israeli-born dentist and married with three children, Dr. Markovitch started his training in cosmetic dentistry over 20 years ago in Israel. He continued his training in the United States at Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY, as well as in countless continuing education courses. His belief is that informed patients are better prepared to make the right decision regarding their oral health and well-being.
Dr. Markovitch takes the time to thoroughly explain all the stages of the treatment to his patients, as well as what options are available in modern dentistry. Dr. Shay Markovitch is a certified Invisalign and Lumineers provider. Utilizing his skills to create beautiful smiles for his patients is one of his priorities because he believes that a smile is a mirror to the soul. When not performing dentistry, Dr. Markovitch enjoys sports, specifically soccer and basketball; however, he usually prefers to spend his time with his wonderful wife and three children.

Terrible experience- Under new management now and riding off the back of a good reputation. Unfortunately, Dr Vaiman and Kessler left to their manhattan location, its a shame they were truly amazing. Ive been going to this location for over 12 years and recently had the worst costumer service with their front desk staff. The staff was also extremely late for my appt, another customer waiting mentioned that since the new management the staff are always this late and hanging out outside. The dr also seemed to inflate the severity of a potential cavity - It felt like a shauty oil change when they throw in unnecessary costs. The front desk staff are inconsiderate and irresponsible, it was like I was talking to a bratty teenager. I called to cancel my appt and shared that I will no longer be going to them anymore and the secretary had the nerve to tell me that I still had to pay a cancellation fee. No thanks.

Dr. Monegro is the best dentist I've ever been to. She was gentle, comforting and walked me through each step that she was taking. I was planning on finding a new dentist but Dr. Monegro will be my reason for going back to PFD

Where do I start. My father and I would drive from Brooklyn all the way to Pelham. I think that alone speaks a lot about how great this place is. To some it might be a drive but it's definitely worth it. You will come out from that dentist office smiling more then ever. Someone to look out for is Dr. Tavarez. She is phenomenal, she walks you through the whole process that is being done to you. Dr. Tavarez will make sure she answers/clears up any questions or confusion you might have. You would come out from that office knowing more and with a happier smile. Pelham really takes care of their patients, you can feel the great energy just by walking in. when it come to payments they give you options that can be more convenient for you. They will do the most they can to keep you smiling. This place is definitely worth it.

Phenomenal experience from reception check in to check out. My hygienist Gaby was exceptional, knowledgeable, patient, gentle & gave great advice/tips. Dr Taveras was very quick & proactive. 10/10 would recommend and will return!
