Dr. Steven Peiser received his undergraduate degree from New York University in 1967 before going on to receive his doctor of dental surgery degree from Columbia University in 1971. In 1974, Dr. Peiser received his periodontal certificate from Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry, and he spent one year as the only dental intern at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. This experience provided him with insight into the problems and needs of restorative dentists.

Dr. Peiser has participated on the teaching staffs of Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry, and the Institute of Advanced Dental Studies. He has been a guest lecturer for Brown University Medical School, as well as for many professional organizations and study groups.

Dr. Peiser has over 35 years in his private specialty practice in Providence, Rhode Island, highlighting his expertise in Periodontics, Oral Diagnosis, and Implant Dentistry, with particular emphasis on aesthetics.

She was born and brought up in Portland, Maine, and left that great state to attend Tufts University in Massachusetts, where she received her Bachelors of Arts Degree. She then continued her education at Boston University, obtaining a Masters of Education degree, with a specialty in speech and language pathology. Upon graduation, she worked in Providence Public Schools, maintained a private practice from her home, and helped very young children, as well as stroke victims with their speech and language development.

When she started her family, she began working here in her husbands office full time, where she learned that everything that went wrong was her fault! For Libby, a sense of humor and flexibility are key traits for achieving success in life. Outside of work, she loves to exercise, travel, read, and spend quality time with her family. She and Dr. Peiser have three wonderful children. She is proud to be a member of the staff at East Side Perio, because she knows that in our office, achieving quality care and patient satisfaction are the primary goals.

Beth Kreshak is a member of the front desk staff, and Insurance Coordinator for the practice. Beth graduated in 1980 from St. Xavier Academy, and worked for Travelers Insurance for seven years prior to coming to work for Dr. Peiser. She has worked for Dr. Peiser for twenty four years.

Beth is married with two children. Her daughter is an Airman for the Air National Guard. Her son recently graduated from Bishop-Hendricken, and will be attending University of Maine in the fall. In her free time, Beth likes to work out and go to the movies.

Joanna was brought up in Bristol, CT, and is the youngest of nine close siblings. She graduated from the University of Hartford as a business major, and has held a variety of jobs in administration since then, including Advo Systems in Hartford, CT, Steam Ship Company in NYC, and Barrington College. She also has a talent in floral design, and has been employed by several floral shops over the years. She has had previous experience in the dental setting, working as a receptionist for two general dentists.

Joanna has two sons and a beautiful granddaughter. In her spare time, she LOVES to shop with her granddaughter and her friends. She enjoys spending time with her wonderful family in CT, gardening, reading, and dog-sitting for her granddog, Max, while her youngest son is serving in Iraq.

Linda Brown has been at East Side Perio for thirteen years. Dr. Peiser calls her the office mother. She mothers everyone whether they like it or not. Linda was receptionist full time for ten years, and since retirement, she covers the office on vacation time and days off.

Linda is a native Rhode Islander and has been married to Jeff for 42 years. Jeff is a shell fisherman, who often provides the office with special treats. They have two beautiful children, and four outstanding grandchildren!! Linda lived in different areas over her married years, and has had varied and interesting employment experiences. She spent much time at WPRO radio station where she was called the traffic director, which involved scheduling of commercial time for the 24 hour, seven days per week, radio station. She then entered the dental field, where she worked as front office manager, and also was chief officer of collections for Smith Holden Dental Supplies.

Lisa is a dental hygienist, and has been a member of our practice for fifteen years. With Dr. Peisers encouragement, she established the oral pathology protocol for our office and introduced local anesthesia certification for our hygienists to administer to patients. She is also interested in generalized health conditions and their dental implications.

Lisa graduated from the University of RI with a BS degree in dental hygiene. She attended Bristol Community College for training in the delivery of local anesthesia, and has been certified to administer local anesthesia since 2006. Lisa is CPR certified.

Kathleen was raised in Keene, NH, though she now lives in Hingham, MA. Kathleen graduated from the University of RI in 2005 with a BS in dental hygiene. She later attended Bristol Community College for training in the delivery of local anesthesia, and has been certified to administer local anesthesia since 2006. She is also CPR certified.

Kathleen is currently working on her Masters Degree in Adult Education at the University of Rhode Island, as she hopes to one day become involved with undergraduate hygiene education, as well as continuing education for dental professionals. She has a special interest in patients with dental anxiety, and is currently working on her thesis on that topic.

Sherry has been married since 2003 and loves spending time with her husband and three beautiful dogs. They enjoy camping with their dogs and traveling when they are able to part with them briefly. Sherry has an ongoing love of theatre and film, and always appreciates a truly good acting performance!
