Nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, is a very popular method to ease dental patients. Its been around for quite some time, too! Nitrous oxide was first used for dentistry in the mid-1800s, but has come a long way since then. Now, its practically a standard asset for any dental practice. When inhaled, nitrous oxide creates a light, almost euphoric sensation for patients. This feeling can relieve anxiety, allowing the Peery & Woolwine Family Dentistry team to provide the necessary care. The effects of nitrous oxide generally fade away quickly after the gas is shut off, too. Normally, patients are even able to drive themselves home!

Called to see if they took my new insurance, which they didn't, so I canceled my appointment. They said I would owe $50 for a cancelation fee. Shocking to me the receptionist said I had a $44 credit which they would keep, never knew about the credit and what B.S. Enjoy the $44.

Ann is absolutely wonderful! Both my kids specifically asked to see her again when they come back. I don't believe that's ever happened.

Hands down this is the best Dentist in Lynchburg! Staff are friendly and the hygienist are awesome and they will have your teeth feeling so clean afterwards! Also you can't forget the father and son duo as your Doctor, that's just the icing on the cake! Will not go anywhere else!

I am very happy with my experience at this office. The staff were friendly, the facility was very clean, modern and comfortable. My dental hygienist was AMAZING. I swear, my teeth have never been this clean! She was gentle and thorough and made my experience a positive one. I will be going back next month for a couple fillings and I'm not dreading it. Thank you!!

After years of being a patient, they decide that helping people with need is no longer important and cancelling all patients with any type of Medicaid, and those that can not afford dental insurance. And now one of them that did is getting rid of it. So few are avab to help. Now one more bites the dust. It's all about Money rather then helping the people of the community!

I've been to many different dentist offices in Lynchburg and this one is my favorite. The staff was very nice and we're able to get me in the very next day after I called. The facility was very clean and organized.

Highly recommend! All of these reviews are right on! I had an amazing experience. Totally cured me of my fear of dentists. Mr. Peery even did me a solid when he realized I was self-pay. I could not be any happier with the care and service I received. He filled a cavity in my #10 tooth (next to the front ones). Yay! I can smile again!! The best is an understatement

I asked my endodontist who did my root canal, "who puts the best crown on a tooth?" and he recommended Dr. James Peery III. I scheduled an appointment and he did not disappoint. The office was friendly, he explained the procedure clearly, the technology they used for the crown was the best I've ever seen (printed it right in the office and walked out with a perfectly fitting crown on the first try!). Best work I've ever had done on my teeth. They really did an amazing job and I would recommend their practice to anyone.

Today it was my second time being at Peery Family Dentistry for my regular cleaning and I didn't have a good experience there. After I went home and checked my teeth I noticed that my back teeth weren't cleaned at all by my hygienist. Also, when I asked my hygienist a question regarding my teeth sensitivity she left me without answering my question and I have to ask the same question from the lady at the front desk receptionist and she was really nice and answered all my questions.

Had to leave my dentist and hygienists in KC,MO.They were the best and took care of me for almost 20 years. Since moved here, have worried about choosing a dental office.Well,today I had my first appt at Peery and it was GREAT! Felt like I was back in KC!!!! Personable staff! Pristine but welcoming environment.Dr.Peery reminded me of my former dentist.On time,efficient ,knowledgable! Jenna,my hygienist was awesome!!! Run....do not walk here!

I have pretty severe anxiety about dentists. This office, and Anouri in particular, are so patient and so kind when I go. I love that they take the time make sure I'm calm, and that they take the time to explain everything to me without making me feel rushed. I would definitely recommend.
