PedZ Dental was founded in 2015 by Dr. Stacey Zaikoski. We care about every child who walks through our doors and want to make every experience positive. Our team is committed to providing the highest quality of dental care for children of all ages. We proudly serve families in the Centerville, Kettering, Dayton, and Beavercreek areas.
We are going to build relationships while building childrens confidence. We will deliver intentional and exceptional customer service. We will provide excellent dental care while being compassionate and working in a fun environment.
I come from a large family and a small town, so I have been responsible for younger siblings and cousins since I was 8 years old! I have always enjoyed mentoring and teaching kiddos. As a dental student, I had minimal training and exposure to pediatric dentistry. Immediately after dental school, I did a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. As an AEGD resident, I saw multiple children for after-hours trauma. My co-residents were a bit scared of kids, so I volunteered and before long, I was seeing ALL of the under 18 emergency and after-hours visits. I truly enjoyed the challenge of treating children and turning kiddos fears around (and thank goodness I was pretty good at it even as an amateur!). As my AEGD residency drew to a close, I knew without a shadow of doubt that my calling and my passion was pediatric dentistry. I enjoy making a potentially unpleasant experience actually FUN and enjoyable.
For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a pediatric dentist. In elementary school, my most important chore was brushing my toy poodles teeth. I took this job very seriously. Surprisingly, I learned that the best way to brush my dogs teeth (while sitting on the floor with her in my lap) also happens to be one of the best ways to brush for little babies and toddlers! I love working in pediatric dentistry because I get to be silly and have fun with kids every single day. Im passionate about what I do because I have the opportunity to give my patients a positive dental experience while setting them up for a lifetime of good oral health. Theres nothing better than making a kiddo giggle while fixing their precious little smile.
My interest in dentistry started as I spent MANY hours at the orthodontist having my braces adjusted.I also watched my dear mom suffer with dental problems for as long as I can remember.She was a child of the Depression who quit school to help support her family before enlisting in the Army during WWI.Dental care was not part of her upbringing and it motivated me to vow to always help my patients keep their teeth for a lifetime. I owned a general dental practice for 40 years with an emphasis on cosmetic dentistry, becoming the second dentist in Ohio to be accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. I treated tongue-tied infants since the early 80s, mostly to help improve breastfeeding.This need continued to grow, and now it is my passion to help tongue-tied people of all ages.
In my younger days I spent my time babysitting, volunteering at a daycare, and hanging out with my young nieces and nephews. Ive always been a people person and in high school I found a skillset that I thoroughly enjoyed inadministrative work! As an Office Manager in a pediatric dental practice, my strengths and passions have melded into an amazing profession! Every day is a good day to promote a fun and encouraging work environment while taking care of our most precious humans!
While growing up, I was always a go-to for little kids like I had some magnetic force! I genuinely loved (and still do) how much joy and the perspective kids can bring to everyday life! My mom has been a preschool teacher since I was very little. I started babysitting at an early age. I was a nanny for a bit of time after that and I have always taken a liking to dentistry and the works of it all! I love being a pediatric dental hygienist because of the time I get to spend chairside with little ones (and even the NOT so little ones), knowing that I may be that very person or experience that changes the oral health game for them! Use your smile to change the world, dont let the world change your smile!
I have always had a passion for working with kids. I started my career path in Early Childhood Education, but life took a different turn and I ended up studying dentistry. I worked for a general dentist for six years before starting in pediatrics. I found that I was always happiest on the days I got to see kids. It is so rewarding to help restore smiles and have fun while doing it!
Kids are honest and their senses of humor amaze me every day. I believe children embody all things good and are so innocent. We call it work, but I enjoy interacting with our kids and their parents on the administrative side of pediatric dentistry and being able to help families overcome obstacles to meet their childrens dental needs. It is a great feeling to be part of their happy experience and watch as their families leave knowing that we are helping build confidence in kids!

Our experience was wonderful here the first time. Especially thankful that they (unlike many other dentists) add new patients to the list of people to call when appointments are canceled. Thank you for that! Also, very impressed with how everyone we had contact with was child friendly and upbeat.

I recently moved to Dayton from Toledo and I was nervous to see how my son would react the having a new dentist but the staff was so friendly and sweet he felt right at home. No wait so that was amazing. Glad I decided to make the call and set up the appointment for my little boy.

Dr. Greg Notestine did an amazing job. He did a full check up while we were in there showing us what ties he had. He also showed us in detail (and had us video for later) the exercises that we had to do after the procedure. He was quick and efficient. Afterwards he stayed with us as long as we needed and comforted us (especially momma). I really appreciated his calming persona too. I would recommend him to anyone.

I took my daughter to see Dr. Notestine for her lip tie. The office staff is so welcoming and caring. He also saw my son 3 years ago for a lip and tongue tie and was amazing in every way for both my son and daughter. I highly recommend Dr. Notestine and his staff!

After a not so great experience at another dentist, we came here and were blown away! They were well organized, super friendly, cultivated a peaceful environment, and my almost 3 year old didn't get upset or cry even once! They were even able to do x-rays on his teeth to assess an injury to a tooth. He left feeling excited, and said he had fun at the dentist! I was blown away by what a stress-free experience we had.

We started taking our son here after our family dentist just wasn't working well with him. He was terrified of the dentist all the time, as they weren't exactly "kid" friendly, and moving his treatments and cleanings to PedZ Dental was flawless, easy and so much better for him. I would recommend Dr Stacey and her team to anyone needing dental work or just cleanings for their kids. I especially love that they talk to him in kids terms and help him understand but without being condescending.

We chose sedation ( they recommended ) due to our sons anxiety levels. I'm glad we did. Instead of 4 separate appointments, PedZ was able to do the work in 1 quick session. They were amazing. Very friendly and detailed. They gave updates constantly throughout the procedure and provided us with lots of literature to make sure we knew what to do to make our son as comfortable as possible. Safe Sedation was great. We had very little worries. Our family dentist recommended PedZ and now so do we. Thanks for everything.

My daughter had a terrible experience at another pediatric dentist closer to home. I was afraid she would never relax enough for another exam! On our first visit at Pedz, my daughter not only had a complete exam with x-rays and a cleaning, but she had nothing but smiles the whole time. No tears! Hannah and Dr. Stacey were so positive and fun. They explained everything and made my daughter feel completely at ease. We had a complicated treatment plan that involved sedation and working with Savannah made the whole process simple and stress-free. I was always informed and had no surprises about the procedure, costs, time, anything. We will continue to make the drive to Pedz Dental because they are THAT good. 10/10 would recommend!
