It is our goal to ensure that each visit goes well so that they think of the dentists office as a good place. Our entire staff is wonderful with children, allowing them to relax while we care for their teeth.

Our dentists and staff have received extra training for primary teeth. Our goal is to protect your childrens teeth so they can eat and speak correctly. We will do whatever we can to help your children have the bright smiles they deserve.

Dr. Eileen Buckle has always had a passion to work with children. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from University of Michigan, she continued on as a Michigan Wolverine, graduating from the dental program 4 years later with her doctorate. She continued on to get her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC where she won the Pediatric Dentistry Award for the most accomplished resident in the Pediatrics program.

A lover of travel and passionate believer in the power of community service, she has traveled on dental missions internationally, providing care for children in underprivileged areas of Ghana and Jamaica. In her spare time, this devoted wife and mother of two loves to spend time with her family and when she can, curl up with a good book.

Our dentists and entire staff understand the importance of good oral health for young children. They have specialized training in primary teeth. They are here to help protect and restore childrens teeth so that they can speak and eat easily and have a wonderful smile. They understand the growth and development of childrens teeth so they can start children off with good oral health.

We also understand how important taking care of childrens teeth is. We will work with parents to ensure their children are taking good care of their teeth at home. We will also monitor their mouths for any problems so we can catch them early. If needed, we will work with your childrens regular doctor to treat any problems we find.

We recommend routine dental cleanings for several reasons. When we perform a professional cleaning, we remove the buildup of plaque and tartar. We also clean the parts of your childs teeth that are hard to reach, such as underneath the gums.

We truly believe that regular dental examinations are important in order for your child to have good dental health and a smile of which he or she can be proud. We start by doing a professional cleaning, removing all of the bad tartar and other buildup on your childs teeth.

We then do an examination, looking to catch and fix any problems before they become bigger ones. We examine each tooth, looking for any signs of decay, damage, or any other problems, such as signs of infection. We want to correct any problems your child may have before they get any worse.

We are usually able to fill in broken teeth to make them look like normal teeth. We even use a cement that is the color of your childs teeth. If that does not work, we offer veneers and caps to cover up any broken teeth.

We can also fix missing teeth and have many options for how we do so. Typically, we like to place implants, which will act like the tooths replacement root. On top of the implants, we use crowns, which are artificial teeth, to restore your childs mouth with normal-sized and shaped teeth.

It is very important to be prepared in case your child has an emergency. Even though we wish that they wouldnt, emergencies do happen. Being educated and knowing what to do in an emergency can be the difference between losing and saving a tooth. You also need to know your dentists phone number.

Dental fillings are used to treat different dental problems like cavities and broken teeth. Teeth are usually filled with a material called composite resin, which is designed to look like natural teeth. Fillings can also be done with gold, porcelain, or silver amalgam.

Composite resin takes a little longer, though most people still prefer it because it creates natural-looking teeth. It takes more than one layer, and a special light is used to harden the area around the filling.

We are here for you and your child if there are any problems after surgery. Some children experience extra discomfort and pain, so we can recommend certain pain medications. If you notice swelling in the area, your child needs to come in and be seen.

Special needs patients require dental work too. They deserve to find a dentist and staff who are compassionate. They need a dentist who is understanding and able to work with them to ensure that their mouths are healthy. Our dentists have had special training with children who have special issues like cleft lip and palate, childhood cancer, autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and other genetic and medical disorders.

A tooth can lose its normal shape and size for a variety of reasons. A crown covers the tooth to help restore its original shape and size. Crowns can also be used to make teeth stronger and look better.

Crowns have a variety of uses. In some cases that require a large filling, there isnt enough tooth remaining to keep the filling in place. A crown can strengthen the tooth and hold the filling. Crowns can also protect teeth that are weak, or help fix ones that are broken. Discolored or misshapen teeth can be covered by a crown, as can dental implants.

Pediatric Smile Studio is unprofessional and unexperienced. After our second opinion, no root canal, no endodontist, half the problems they reported. They were impatient with my questions, called days later to reschedule appointments; then called 2 days before our appointment to insist we see an endodontist first. They did not release my daughter's xrays in time for her oral surgeon; and I had to be highly insistent to get our xrays released for our second opinion visit.

In the 3 years that we have gone to this dental practice we have only seen Dr. Eileen once after I have specified that we want to be seen by Dr. Eileen. This last time my daughter was seen by a dentist that was interviewing for the job. She did not know where anything was and seemed to be confused and a little overwhelmed. I don't know if that's something normal to be seen by an interviewing dentist but I would have liked to have been notified. Otherwise I would have chosen a different day. They did not want to refund me my money as the interviewing Dr. Didn't even answer my question, which was the whole reason for going. Will never go back again.

My recommendation is to stay away from this place. If I could give it a -100 stars I would. Like many have said they are very difficult to get on the phone. My bigger issue is this: I called (about 15 times) to get an appointment for my 2 year old twins. Once I finally got them on the phone they verified that they took my insurance. The day arrives for the appointment. We get to the office and they say there's something wrong with our insurance. They came to this revelation just as the dentist was about to do an exam on my son. The front desk staff said hold on to the dentist. They had a brief chat. The dentist came back and said that they have to verify benefits. This took about 15 minutes but benefits were verified. The dentist proceeded to brush my sons teeth with a toothbrush for about 45 seconds. She then showed us where we need to brush better. Now my daughter is up. She was afraid so the dentist didn't even touch her mouth at all. She showed them to toy bin, they picked a toy, and we left. A few weeks later we get two bills for $111.xx each. Then the calls start coming. I reminded them that they confirmed with insurance that there cleanings were covered. They said they were but that we had to meet our deductible first. That's NOT what the coverage said. Two cleanings were included at no charge. I told them I am not paying for a service that was covered. They told me they'd call me back. I welcomed it. I haven't heard from them. I've tried to call them. One ring and it goes to voicemail.

I used to love this dentist, but things have changed and not for the better! We never see the dentist that my children loved when they first started coming here, and now I can't ever get anyone on the phone! It took over 3 weeks to get a piece of paper faxed to my son's school at the beginning of the year. Now my kids need an appointment and as usual, nobody is answering the phone and hasn't for a few days. Don't waste your time here!!

I usually don't write reviews, but I've been compelled to write this on behalf of my wife who will be writing her own. This review serves as a WARNING about this practice. My wife as set up appointments no less than 3 TIMES to have a filling corrected from a visit at this place just before Christmas. She has pulled the kids out of school to get there at the time they scheduled her for only to get there and no one was there. THIS IS DURING WORKING HOURS!! AGAIN THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES AT LEAST!! How do you consistently schedule someone and don't show up? Especially telling them "We'll squeeze you in." THIS IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL ESTABLISHMENT and it does NOT reflect the 4.4 star rating. My advise...avoid the frustration of this unprofessional dentist office and look elsewhere. We're now looking for another dentist to correct filling this office did a month ago. Count this as a zero star rating!

Not sure if I care for the staff at this practice. Never had any problems until my daughters last visit. Told me she needs to have a tooth fixed. Called to get details since her grandfather took her in. Have waited weeks for a call back. Called yesterday and was told the doctor would call back today. I called today (Thursday) and of course the doctor is out until Tuesday! The person that answers the phone is EXTREMELY rude.

My six year old had no problems! He loved how the TV's were on the same movie in every room and that there was a TV on the ceiling for him to see as he paid back! The staff was very friendly and great with my son!
