I just called to try to book an appointment, and see if they have any experience working with children on the spectrum. I tried to ask if they had little techniques that will help keep my daughter calm, and the girl on the phone was SO rude to me. I'm actually in tears after she hung up the phone before I could even finish explaining how dumb my question must have been, because she reacted to my call as if it was the strangest thing she's ever heard. I just didn't want to torture the dentists office with my daughters fears and anxiety if they're not equipped to deal with children like mine. I was only trying to make sure we were a good fit for their office. Mamas, if your child is on the spectrum and you're trying to find an office that will be gentle and understanding, based on the receptionists I spoke to, I'd say this office isn't a good choice. Save yourself the judgement. I'm sorry if the girl answering the phone is a poor representation of the dentists/docs in this office, and my review is unfairly giving the entire office a bad rap. But I can't imagine. They'd hire someone who doesn't align with their views/morals Off to continue to search for a dentist who can help my daughter.

I took my 3 year old to the dentist for the first time ever at this office. Everyone from the front desk to the tech to the dentist were exceptionally friendly. Ms. Linda made my daughters first experience so much fun and she wasn't afraid at all!

I made an appointment for my two children for cleanings and was given the wrong address on their website for an office in Commack. I showed up in the wrong office looking like a fool insisting we have appointments only to be told it was a completely different office and this dentist moved over a year ago. How about you update your website and tell the incompetent front desk to confirm the address when appointments are booked. Luckily, the office I went to was able to squeeze my children in. The staff at that office is absolutely wonderful from the front desk to the doctor.

Pros: The decor is kid friendly. Hygienists are nice enough to the children. We were seen quickly. Doctors seem professional and nice as well. Cons: Seems like a factory. If you show up with more than one child and they want to take x-rays, they have you in the hallway or adjacent to other hygienists working space. I was asked "Is everything alright there dad?" this verified what I was feeling - that I was in the way of doctors and other staff as they moved through the hallway and as i stood in what felt like their space. At our most recent visit (my first time) everything was running smoothly. At one point hygienist asked "fluoride?" I thought she was asking as a courtesy. Nowadays people have conspiracies about all types of things. I replied "sure?" Nothing was said about not all insurances covering it. No signage. The word "elect" as in "elective procedure" was never used. Upon exit I was blindsided by additional 115.00 charge on top of the co-pay. The desk staff was defensive and said "you should know your insurance policy" also "i do not know what goes on back there just know what I'm supposed to bill you." The Hygienist told me that "she was sorry that i misunderstood and that there was a miscommunication" when in fact there was no communication to me whatsoever about fees. She told me that at the last visit fluoride was approved by my wife and applied. She also put the fluoride on my sons loose teeth causing him discomfort and the teeth to bleed a lot. Her afterthought was "i problably should not have put it on there." Anyway he gets fluoride daily in the toothpaste and mouthwash we use at home. The fluoride has done nothing to change the fact that my son's mouth needs a lot of work. To me this seems like a money grab for the office. The office manager was conveniently at lunch and return was questionable. I was willing to wait for their return but it seemed no one could make that happen. Instead I paid the co-pay and left and then the bill comes in the mail. No correspondence from the office manager. Blindsiding people with additional fees before they walk out is not professional nor is it good practice.

I brought my son here for his initial and cleaning. My son isn't the easiest to deal with and definitely wasn't at the time of the appointment but the staff was just so patient and amazing with him. He left the office showing off his pearly whites with wet lashes but he was completely fine and I was very happy. Will be returning and hoping it gets easier for him as he gets older.

I brought my 16 month old daughter and was a little worried how it'd go since she's so young and Lynn (I believe was her name) was so kind, gentle and patient! She explained everything that was going to happen during our visit and educated me on the best dental health for my daughter! They made me feel supported and safe and I 100% recommend! I'm very picky where I take my baby but I will definitely be returning!

Amazingly friendly hygienists that were amazing for our kids' double appointments (3 and 7). They were super accommodating in getting us a quick, double appointment and also being forgiving when we were late finding the building. This location's decor and furniture could use a makeover, but the staff make it great.

The dentist himself is a great guy. Wonderful with handling my daughter . But receptionist are absolutely horrible, bad attitudes all the time. NONE of them are professional. They are all rude and make it very uncomfortable to go there . Anybody know of a better dentist office for my baby girl, I do not recommend going there

We have been coming to this practice for 6 years after my now 10 year old had a bad experience at another pediatric dental office. We had out first visit to the new Smithtown location today and all I have to say is WOW and THANK YOU. I never write reviews and I am doing so now bc this practice should be recognized for how wonderful everyone is. Not only is the new office clean, fun for kids, and very organized, but every staff member is extremely professional and although they are wearing masks you can tell that they are smiling. My older daughter is very scared of the dentist and our hygienist Linda was absolutely INCREDIBLE. She was kind, patient, reassuring, and tailored her care for each of my children and their needs. She truly went above and beyond to make this a safe, happy, positive experience for both of my children and I am so grateful to her for her time and care. When my younger daughter (5), who has no problem going to the dentist, found out that she had cavities for the first time she absolutely freaked out! Well, they found a way to fit her in to have them filled right then and there instead of having us come back at another time so she would not worry about it. Dr Cooper and Dr Michael are both warm, wonderful and caring and there is nowhere else I would trust to take my daughters for their dental care.

Doctor is OK but people at the front desk are extremely rude. Especially one lady I wish I know what her name is to mention her. She talks to people so rude and disrespectful, she is so unprofessional they should get rid of her ASAP. And reading some comments from other people I guess I'm not the only one complaining about her.
