I'm writing this because I hope to bring awareness and sharing to always trust your gut. My daughter (6yrs old) started seeing Dr Amodeo about a year ago when we moved into the RB area. She has been going to yearly dentist appts since she was 2 and I happy to say she has never had an major teeth concerns or cavities. The first appt with this office was kinda dramatic as the front office accidentally canceled our appt and had to fit us in. Dr. A was clearly in a rush because he talked to us for a whole 3 mins after reviewing x-rays and said she needs 2 root canals. I was so surprised and confused I couldn't even get two words in. My 6 year old never had a cavity now has 2 root canals needed. He said they would schedule the appt at the front and had the assistant walk me to the front. Super unprofessional and didn't seem to care at all about my daughter or her oral health. Fast forward to day of treatment I start to walk back with my daughter when the assistant stops me and says "oh no, you can't come back, it's our No parent policy" I said huh?!? No parent??? Never have I ever heard of this this is my 5th kiddo and all dental appointments I've always been by their side. No warning nothing just sorry you can't come back. So I said something seems off.. I didn't know what but something was not right. So I just said "I'm sorry we will have to reschedule" and walked out. I came home and instantly got on the phone with other pediatric dentists in the area and my first question was can I stay with my daughter during treatment... EVERY SINGLE ONE said yes of course. Fast forward to the following week I go to the other pediatric dental office and they do the first time patient work up (x-rays, cleanings, exam) and this amazing Dr comes in and says Great Job kiddo! No cavities!!!! I was shook. I said none??? He said nope her teeth look great! I told him my experience at PDO and he said unfortunately this happens and this is why 2nd opinions are so important. I'm so glad I listened to my gut that day and my poor baby didn't have unnecessary dental work I wasn't going to write a review and just let it go but I just got home from my daughters 6 month cleaning at our new dental office and happy to report still no cavities! It just reminded me of my awful experience and I want to say trust your gut be your kids advocate!

After being with this dental office for over 20 years with all 5 of my children, we will most likely not return unless/until they decide to remove the ridiculous mask mandate. It would be great if they would follow the science which has proven over and over that the masking does little to mitigate spread of Covid... but the masking does much harm in about 10 different ways, including making our kids think that they are not safe in the world. It is utterly ridiculous at this point to continue this lie. Covid has become a mild to moderate flu at this point. Also, the CDC and health dept. have made recommendations about masks. These are not regulations, mandates or laws!!! I have attended appointments at other medical offices, including doctor and dental, and they are not requiring masks. I hope you can move forward with your policy and allow us to lead our lives in a logical and common sense manner. #ditchthemask Margaret

Wowww!! Where was this dentist office when I was a child?! They were so professional and sooo patient with my son. Jen took the time to introduce every single tool they needed to use to my son. She explained every step to him to make sure he had an great first time experience at the dentist. I've never seen him warm up to anyone so quickly. He can't wait to go back and made sure we purchased the flavor toothbrush they recommend and tooth paste flavors. By far the best dentist office I've ever been to ESPECIALLY for a child!

I can honestly say that I look forward to my appointments with PDO Specialists every single time :) I have been coming here my whole life and they take excellent care of me and my family. My brother is neurodivergent and handicap and they treat him with the upmost care making sure to accommodate him and staying patient. The staff are friendly and they enjoy catching up with their patrons and clients. You can't go wrong with choosing this establishment for your care.

We initially brought our 3 year-old son for his dental care and were so impressed with the care and patience that they had with him that my husband and I ended up scheduling appointments for ourselves before we left. Every time that we call or come into the office, we are greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. Everyone that we've encountered has been wonderful and so professional, both in the general dentistry and the ortho departments.. All treatment recommendations are explained thoroughly and they don't try to push unnecessary services. I highly recommend this office to anyone in search of quality dental care.
