'I love pediatric dentistry- and the kids I get to serve in the process. Not everyone gets to do exactly what they want for a career. I 'm very blessed to have had the opprtunities I have, that have led me to where I am. I want to share my knowledge and skills with families in hopes that we can reduce children 's dental decay and other dental health problems for our kids. Working with such diverse personalities in our field require a lot of flexibility and a lot of energy. But it pays off at the end of the day. I truly feel that I 've been blessed in working with children. I know it is what I was meant to do.'
A Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD), he is a specialist who knows how to provide your kids 'best care.' The ABPD is the only certifying Board recognized by the American Dental Association for the specialty of pediatric dentistry.
After his first year of dental school, Dr. Sawyer married then, 'Sandy McClung,' of San Angelo. They have two daughters, Morgan and Kayli who are currently in college. Morgan attends University of North Texas and Kayli attends Texas Tech University. Sandy joins in supporting the adminstrative team of Pediatric Dentistry of San Angelo.
I grew up in Fort Stockton and Sanderson, Texas. I participated in a variety of sports and One Act Play. I graduated from Sanderson High School in 1986 and went to college at Angelo State University. After attending Dental School in San Antonio, I was in the Navy for 10 years and during that time had the opportunity to meet lots of wonderful people and travel to some very interesting places. I now live in San Angelo, returning out of choice. My wife Sandy and I love to support our daughters, Morgan and Kayli in all of the things that they participate in. We also love spending time together hanging out as a family, whether that be visiting them where they attend college, going to the movies, or vacationing together. We are also active members of our church. Things I enjoy are hunting with my dogs Smokey and Swagger, fishing, and playing raquetball. I also enjoy reading an watching sports-especially college football.

My children get well cared for by the hygienists and Dr. Sawyer. They accommodated for all three at virtually the same time. Very pleased.

The entire team was absolutely wonderful with both of my young children. They explained everything they would be doing and helped make our first trip to the dentist a very positive experience. Both kids are excited to go back. Dr. Sawyer and his team are fantastic!

The staff is very rude and not helpful at all. Dr. Sawyer is very mean and super unprofessional with children. He doesn't know how to handle or speak to children without being rude and disrespectful. I do not recommend for anyone to take their children here. This place is by far the worst pediatric dentistry in San Angelo.

Dr. Sawyer and his staff were excellent with my kids and talked to them about what was needed instead of ignoring them and talking only to me. They were very personable, knowledgeable, informative, and efficient!

We have been using Dr. Sawyer at Pediatric Dentistry for a little over three years now. My three children range in age from 2 to 7 so we've experienced a couple of meltdowns (as one would expect) at this office. Dr. Sawyer, his hygienists, and assistants have all been so kind during these few instances and very helpful! Instead of being irritated by the toddler tantrum that makes their jobs 10X more difficult, they are all very calm, compassionate, and soothing. My children have gone from hating the dentist (thanks to the other office we used to go to) to being genuinely excited to have their teeth cleaned and be able to get their goodie bags and surprises afterward. We just visited yesterday and the only kiddo that cried was our two year old and she only cried at the very end of her brushing because she was over it. All of the above was simply to explain that Dr. Sawyer and his staff are an awesome group of individuals that make it obvious that they enjoy working with children! Their synchronization along with ebb and flow can't be beat. They are all patient, kind, and passionate about their jobs. If you're in the market for a new pediatric dentist, Dr. Sawyer is the one to see!

They were really helpful and gave me tons of advice about my child's teeth. They even were understanding about my short stay in San Angelo. I'm not sure why some of the reviews are bad. They never gave me a reason to not like them and I have been to dentist offices from across Texas, California and Wisconsin. Friendly staff and a nice place to take your children:).

We have had a wonderful experience with this dentistry for about eight years with our kids. We even moved away from town but keep coming back to this dentist because they are so awesome and great with kids:)

Dr Sawyer and his staff are awesome! I am extremely happy with their work and friendliness. My daughter trusts them and is comfortable with all of them. We have been going since she was 3 or 4 and she is 10 now. I would highly recommend them. The staff is really good at working with her anxiety too.

Called to get my 2 year old seen, was told that the Dr said he could not see her. When asked why was not given an answer! I was directed to this establishment by my family dentist as her office is not equipped for large pediatric procedures. This so called "pediatric dentist" is not worth the time it takes to call!
