Dr. Kalantar, known by her patients as Dr. Neda, received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Virginia in 1997 and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2001. She completed her Advanced Training in General Dentistry Residency from VCU in 2002. She then went on to specialize in pediatric dentistry, completing her training at Howard University School of Dentistry in 2004 with high distinction.
Recognized for her leadership & community service, Dr Neda is the proud recipient of numerous awards including the Lillian Reynolds Award for her high academic achievement during her post-graduate pediatric dental training & for her volunteer work with Operation Smile. In an effort to give her patients the best treatment options & latest technologies, she has completed many continuing education courses & certifications. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Virginia Dental Association and the American Dental Association. She's been repeatedly recognized as one of the top pediatric dentists in the DC-area both by the Washingtonian, Northern Virginia Magazine, Virginia Living and other local publications.
Dr. Neda was born in Chicago and grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia; she now resides in Washington, DC with her husband and two boys. For as long as she can remember, she has been passionate about working for and with children. She founded Pediatric Dentistry of Reston in 2006 & has worked there since. She has participated in numerous international and local dental/medical missions, including over 13 separate missions to Nicaragua, Vietnam, and Gaza & Jordan. She also helped coordinate the first dental mission with Relief International to Jordan to help Syrian refugees in 2017. She currently serves on the board of Project Turquoise whose mission is to help displaced & underserved communities in need.
Dr. Sana Zaidi was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Cleveland State University with high academic distinction and received her doctorate of dental surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. She volunteered at a clinic while attending dental school and nurtured her love for caring for patients. Dr. Sana then moved to Virginia with her husband & worked in a pediatric dental practice. There, she was inspired to work solely with children and to help make a difference in the dental experience of a child. She then moved back to her hometown of Cleveland, to complete her two-year specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Metrohealth Hospital. Dr Sana is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and has received extensive training in advanced procedures in special needs and hospital dentistry.
Dr. Sana Zaidi joined Pediatric Dentistry of Reston in 2017, and lives in Northern Virginia with her husband & two toddlers. She is a big Cleveland Cavaliers fan, so you can catch her cheering them on during basketball season. She also enjoys watching America's favorite pastime, baseball, and spending time with her growing family. Dr. Sana is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, & the American Dental Association.

This is the best pediatric dentistry practice in the area, hands down. Great dentist and hygienists. The office also does a good job with scheduling and billing. We've been taking our two kids here for years and will continue to do so.

Per my daughter: The nail polish job is messy. And scratched my gums when the used the pick thing. Honestly that's not a bad review from an 8 year old, especially considering she had lots of plaque from not consistently flossing... LOL We will keep coming as they're taking great care of our girls.

Dr Neda is amazing. She is so fun and natural with the kids. She somehow gets a 1 and a half year old to open his mouth with ease and grace. She gets all 4 of my children in an out so quickly. Her entire office is so very efficient and professional. I trust Dr Neda 100% - she always responds to my questions with facts and patience. The kids LOVE going to the dentist!?? She is just magical. We appreciate you Dr Neda and your office staff!!! Thank you! My children have continued to have amazing, trusted, efficient, quality care by Dr Neda's office. She is the most thoughtful and caring dentist I have ever come across. Her way with children is truly amazing- they don't even notice when she is injecting numbing medication! She recently preformed an emergency dental procedure for my clumsy son and she did it with such grace and care. I admire her and her work and I would whole heartedly recommend her to anyone who cares about their child's dental health! Thank you Dr Neda and her amazing team!!! What a gift to our area!

My son has special needs and the dentist we had been seeing was not very nice to him or accommodating. Because of this he hated going to the dentist. I vowed to do better for my son. So I did a lot of research and found Dr. Kalantar. It's been over 9 years and all I can say is she is the most patient, kind and caring dentist. I cannot speak more highly of her and her staff. They put kids first. I'm loathe to say how fabulous they are because then she'll be so busy, but it would be a shame to not share this wonderful woman and her staff with other families. We Love you Dr. Kalantar!!!!!!!!

Dr Neda is by far one of the best dentists we have ever met. I work in the medical field and as a mom of 3 who moved every 2 yrs in the last 16 years and in every new location I like to try a few doctors in every field before sticking to one we like and we are very picky. We have even moved from Reston but def kept going to dr Neda as she is amazing with kids, very knowledgable, professional and very very kind. 3 traits that are very difficult to find nowadays. My kids want to visit the dentist everyday. They even ask me when will the next appointment be the minute we leave the office. Everyone that works at this office is really nice and accommodating. I do-not like recommending a Dr or a dentist before spending atleast 2 years using the office. I highly recommend pediatric dentistry of Reston and will continue to come here as long as we can

My son's first dentist appointment was terrifying for him, as it is expected for an 18 month old, but the staff and Dr. Neda we're so kind, professional and simply amazing! He and I walked out of the appointment feeling happier from the overall experience and from the wonderful attention he received!

The staff are so kind and friendly, and they give so much attention and information to the kids to make them feel safe and comfortable. My child LOVES the dentist since they paint her nails every time! 10/10 experience and staff.

Update: We're sad to be moving out of area - partly because we'll miss this dental office! My boys, prior to their most recent appointment, said things like, "It's going to be the best day ever. I love going to the dentist!" Love, love, love this place! My son told my husband that night after his appointment, "Dad, I got to go to the dentist today." That pretty much says it all.

We LOVE this place!! Dr Neda and the staff are amazing; patient, friendly kind; and helpful. They took such care good care of my daughter a when she had serious anxiety from a bad experience at another dental practice we were at. She now has no problem going to the dentist and likes to go. We are so grateful! Best experience at a dentist ever!!

I have to agree that this practice and doctors are the best. The patience and calmness shown in caring for my daughter's crown installation are beyond anything I experienced. She is a complicated patient and does not collaborate well at all, but they were still able to have the work done. Forever grateful. I highly recommend this practice!!
