Dr. Jason Ashcroft is a native of New Mexico and is excited to have returned to the southwest. He has missed the food and weather and is happy to be closer to his family. Dr. Ashcroft received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated with honors. He then furthered his education on all aspects of dentistry by completing a General Practice Residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Bethlehem, PA where he received valuable experience in endodontic and surgical procedures. Dr. Ashcroft specialized in pediatric and adolescent dentistry at the University of Indiana and Riley Hospital for Children. While there, he also received a Master's of Science in Dentistry degree, with a minor in psychology. His pediatric training has prepared him to treat children from infancy to adolescence including those with special needs and disabilities. Dr. Ashcroft is trained in conscious sedation and hospital dental care. His specialized training uniquely qualifies him to treat pediatric patients with gentle and understanding care. He is a member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, and Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Dr. Ashcroft is a devoted husband and father of three young daughters. He understands your concerns as a parent and will treat your children as he would treat his own. He is fluent in Spanish and has completed several dental mission trips including one to Honduras and now travels yearly with his family to rural Guatemala to treat children with extreme dental needs. Dr. Ashcroft is very service oriented and he is actively involved with his local church where he has served in different capacities.
He loves sports and will attend almost any sporting event. He especially loves baseball, which he played at the collegiate level. He played in four World Series including the Connie Mack World Series, two NAIA Collegiate World Series, and the NBC World Series. He also was a volunteer assistant baseball coach at a high school while attending dental school. Currently he coaches his daughter's soccer team. He loves the outdoors, and taking his children camping and fishing. But his most cherished time is relaxing at home watching animated movies with his family.

They have been amazing. My son has very high anxiety and sensory issues and fears of dentist due to previous dental work issues. They have been so patient and sweet. Thankfully they caught an issue with one of my sons teeth growing in wrong that would effect his permanent front teeth we had to have it pulled so it didn't mess up the root. Turns out he should have had an expander that the last dentist told us he didn't. We are going to be getting him in braces which luckily he does as well since my son is comfortable with him I don't want to have to take him to another place. Thanks for being so sweet to my son.

The most friendly, clean, and professional place! We absolutely adore Dr. Jason and his whole staff. Been going to him for 6 years and every visit leave with huge clean beautiful smiles on my kids faces.

Once you find a pediatric dentist you feel comfortable with, you move wherever they go. That's how I feel about Dr. Ashcroft and the office. He is very patient, explains everything very well, upfront about stuff that needs to be done, and never pushes anything. Truly wonderful.

My 16 yr old son and I just finished our first visit with Dr. Ashcroft. He has incredible patience and treated my son with special needs with care and eased his anxiety. He has a very calming presence. He's a perfect choice for any parent looking for a great dentist!

The team at Pediatric Dentistry of Northlake are top notch! From the front door to the exit, the staff was super sweet and did such an amazing job taking care of my three children! Dr. Ashcroft is such a blessing to my children as he is very thorough and attentive to their needs. He is exceptional with explaining everything and is just the best pediatric dentist, hands down. I'm so glad to have found him and will NEVER trust my children with anyone else. Run, don't walk to the phone for your appointment. I promise you will NOT be disappointed!! Loved the staff, however they stopped taking our insurance. We are established patients, and found out when we called to make an appointment. Is this standard practice? I can understand not accepting new patients if you choose not to accept that insurance, but dropping established patients seems unprofessional to me. 3 stars because my kids still liked the staff.

Amazing! My son had a dental emergency and they got him right in and fixed up. Everyone was kind, explained everything every step of the way and made him feel comfortable about it all. We will definitely be back for all future dental needs.

Moved to the area and was hesitant to try a new dentist, but the entire staff is awesome!! We actually chose to go to Dr. Ashcroft despite him not being in network with our new insurance because of our positive experience. Elda and staff will make your visit a positive one for your family. Would recommend to all locals!

We LOVE Dr. Ashcroft!! He is so so good with kids. My two girls love going to see him. They never complain of being in pain or uncomfortable! His staff is amazing as well everyone is so nice and welcoming as well as helpful. Scheduling is always a breeze! I can't imagine taking my kids to another dentist HE IS THE BEST

I took my daughter (12) and son (9) to Pediatric Dentist of Northlake. The entire staff was incredibly friendly. They made sure my children felt comfortable and took time to educate them about their teeth and brushing habits. My daughter has had a few dentist visits that have made her a bit fearful at another office in the past, and everyone there was very accommodating at trying to help her feel relaxed and safe at her new dentist office. Would recommend to anyone for their little ones!

Our experiences with Pediatric Dentistry of Northlake have been outstanding. Dr. Ashcroft does an amazing job with young children. One of our little girls had a bad accident that required emergency dental work. Dr. Ashcroft met us at his office on a Sunday night! He made the repair and scheduled the permanent fix. Words can't express how grateful we are. I truly feel blessed to have found such a highly skilled and compassionate dentist.

This was the worst experience we have ever had. All they cared about was the money. My son was sitting there screaming after we did as they recommended and put him under for his dental work. Turns out, it was not as calm as they made it out to be. It may be for some, but my son thought he was suffocating and they made my husband hold him down while he breathed into the happy gas mask or whatever it is. He was fighting it the whole time. They didn't offer to pause or restart- nothin. I get that they're on a schedule, but a little more forewarning so we could prepare our son would have gone a long way. Then, as my son is coming out of it, starting to cry and then scream, they start asking for payment like my husband wasn't sitting in the waiting room for forever and we didn't preauthorize a whole bunch of stuff. He was literally holding our son in his arms when the payment person approached with a receipt for him to sign. I will not be returning. Side note- technical things, they did fabulous. He isn't swollen and he's doing fine. But it was extremely traumatic in the beginning and after. Forewarning and compassion to wait for a receipt to be signed would go a long way.

Pediatric Dentist of Northlake is outstanding! I can't praise them enough. My almost 4 year old has been going to Dr. Ashcroft, in the Haslet location, since she was 18 months. We recently moved to Justin and were excited to find out that Dr Ashcroft opened up the one in Northlake. I took both my kids (almost 4 and 2.5 year old) today, for their first checkup since Covid. I was blown away by the experience. Everyone was so patient and friendly with both of my kids. They explained everything they were doing, to us as well the kids, to make them more at ease. The Dental Hygienist that my 4 year old saw, was being so sweet and fun, which allowed for a good experience for my daughter. Dr Ashcroft was so great with both kids, very patient and also very informative. Our kids have not stop talking about going to the dentist!
