Positives: Beautiful building and kids do like the atmosphere with the TVs and toys. Contracted anesthesiologist (Dr. Dincher) had excellent bedside manner. Negatives: Main dentist is very pushy and puts off a strong "I know more than you" vibe. We had multiple incidents of unpleasant interactions with him as well as with one particular office staff member. Didn't love the no parents "back there" policy. Major (and expensive) procedures along with general anesthesia are recommended too casually for my liking. Debated on posting this less than flattering review, but felt it's important to let others know that they're not alone if they've had similar experiences and concerns. I will add that our experiences were 2-3 years ago (currently 2022), so perhaps things have improved. We no longer visit this office. While it is challenging and a lengthy wait to get into some of the other pediatric dental offices in the area, in our case, at least, it's been well worth it.

My five year old daughter loves this practice! They are easy to work with, start appointments on time, and up front about billing. Glad we found this dentist.

I made an appointment in January and they had said I was able to accompany my children while at their first visit. Then call 4 days before the appointment (which was in June) and say that they will not allow me to go back with them!

The office manager at this practice is rude and very hard to deal with. I would stay away if I were you.

Took my baby boy in for his very first check up and was 15 minutes late!! I used GOOGLE MAPS to get me there from Williamsport and when I turned to Hospital Rd the GPS told me to make another right at the next street but that's not correct. Keep going another 100 ft and it's right there on the right, parking out on the side and more on the back. Walked in with my Gunner and what a nice clean modern building with toys for the young ones! I checked in with the very nice young woman at the front and she made me feel at ease about everything after I explained what happened! I was expecting to reschedule and a scolding but got the opposite! She took our information and was very informative about everything. Once checked in we waited not even 5 minutes and a Hygienest named Tess. She was amazing! Great small talk and made my baby boy feel at ease! Explained everything easily and clearly. Showed me me what to look for and gave me some tips I didn't think about! Very impressed! Then then the main show started and Doc Jay came up and checked my son out. What a great guy!! He examined my son and and showed me everything he was looking for and was very transparent. I knew my son was in great hands. I asked a couple questions and Doc Jay bestowed upon me some little known knowledge to pass onto my mother in law haha. You'll be at ease when you see and meet him. The exam room is REALLY OPEN and extremely comfortable even for adults! nice and bright. Plenty of room for you to sit with your child. Overall, EXTREMELY satisfied with this Dentistry. I would highly recommend going here for your pediatric dental needs. I drove from Williamsport and it wasn't so bad coming down. Oh! If it's your first time visiting REQUEST the first time patient packet to fill out PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST VISIT. It will save you so much time. My wife requested and got it printed out and filled out and all I had to do was hand it in and BAM!

I am a former staff member who can tell you that this place is top notch!! Staff here are respectful of all people from different backgrounds and will make sure they teach you the most they can about caring for your child's teeth so that the care doesn't stop in the office. Children are treated like friends and made to feel comfortable during simple visits like dental cleanings, and difficult procedures alike. Child friendly terms are used, such as "wiggling" a tooth out vs. "extracting". My 8yo with anxiety and hyperactivity is able to watch TV, snuggle a blanket and relax while her teeth are sealed, cleaned .etc! The new, state of the art office is beautiful and clean.

My 3 kids go here. We absolutely love the staff. We have had exceptional care. They don't just wait for a problem to occur, they prevent. We couldn't ask for a better place!

They do not cooperate with many insurances. Charge a fee upfront for an extra examination and xrays. Tried to tell us that our son would need general anesthesia to perform work on his back molar. Wanted to perform extra, unnecessary procedures on baby teeth. And wouldn't book without the whole 4k upfront because the anesethetician doesn't take ANY insurances. The only reason I didn't give one star, is because the office is nice and the techs were good with my son. We got a second opinion in Port Matilda and they did the necessary work without putting my son under anesthesia. From my experience, Pediatric Dentistry is only looking at Dollar Signs.

This dental practice is everything I hoped it would be.Our little girl has a cavity and her tooth broke as a result. She is 6 and it is a tooth that she will have until she is 12 so it is important to keep it in place if possible. Our regular dentist would have done something, he called it a "kid root canal" but I was hesitant as my older son had the same procedure done and, at the time, the dentist thought that kids were more traumatized by a shot of Novocaine than they would be by the pain of having the procedure done without it. Well. that dentist totally messed up and after the Novocaine that he eventually had to use wore off , my son started screaming because of the pain and didn't stop until I rushed him to another dentist to fix the bad job. I didn't want a repeat of that nightmare and looked up pediatric dentists and found Pediatric Dentistry of Lewisburg. We had our initial exam yesterday and I think the staff is super dedicated to making children have a positive experience at the dentist no matter what procedure they are having. The doctor has the newest equipment at his disposal to image teeth and explain what is there to you. He takes the time to show you everything and explain what needs immediate attention and what may need to be addressed in the future. I really like the fact that they have nitrous to help the children relax for the Novocaine shot and during the procedure. I think that this will help children develop a positive picture of visiting the dentist. This will benefit them their entire lives. Yes, they only directly bill Blue Cross and Delta Dental but you can use any insurance you want, you just have to submit the claim yourself. Yes, using a facility like this one may be more expensive than going to a dentist who only uses Novocaine (or nothing at all) when treating children's teeth but I think that those kids will not develop a positive view and will probably end up not wanting to visit the dentist and having bad teeth as a result.
