Dr. Djuana Cartillar grew up in Bald Knob, Arkansas. She attended Lyon's College in Batesville, then attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1993. She practiced general/family dentistry for nine years in Forrest City before her dream of becoming a pediatric dentist came into fruition. Dr. Cartillar left the general dental field in 2002 to serve as a pediatric dental resident for 24 months at the University of Tennessee. During residency she trained at LeBonnher Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Crittenden Memorial Hospital, and the Arlington Developmental Facility. When she graduated in 2004, she worked in Jonesboro as a pediatric dentist for two years. In 2004, she finally realized her dream of opening Pediatric Dentistry of Eastern Arkansas in Forrest City. Since this time, she has opened an additional clinic in West Memphis to better serve the children of Eastern Arkansas.

Dr. Cartillar is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Association, Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association. She is on staff at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro and the Forrest City Medical Hospital.

Dr. Cartillar is married with two children, Jayme and Tori, who are very active in church and sports. She enjoys watching her son, Jayme, compete in baseball and his many other sporting interests, and she enjoys watching her daughter, Tori, compete on her horse during barrel races. Dr. Cartillar's other interest include working with the children in her church, gardening, cooking, photography, and horseback riding. Dr. Cartillar adds her personal touch of beauty and creativity, whatever the activity, from making a two layered coconut cake to digitally integrating her photographs to make collages and unique photo albums.

Hello my name is Erica Jackson I'm married with two children son Tre' and daughter Makayla. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My hobbies include shopping, shopping and more shopping. I graduated from the Concord Career College Dental Assistant Program in Memphis, TN in 1999. I'm a registered dental assistant, and has been in the pediatric dental field for over 15 years now. I enjoy working with children because they're so honest and fun to be around.

As a teen, I was once a patient of Dr. Cartillar so needless to say our relationship goes back many years. When Dr. Cartillar was in the dental residency program at the University of Tennessee, I was working as a dental assistant at U.T. during the time. We became reacquainted again, and enjoyed working together. Once Dr. Cartillar opened her new clinic in Forrest City, she gladly welcomed me to join her practice.

When I joined the team I was welcomed by the great staff and the great patients. I love meeting all the great kids and enjoy helping them with all their dental needs. I am married to my husband Eric and we have a son, Garrett, and 2 dogs, Fred and Lulu. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I hope to see all of you in the future.

Hello my name is Jennifer. I am a recent graduate of Concorde Career College where I graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist. I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my family and church. I am married to Eddie and we have two daughters Ryder and Pyper. I cant wait to meet you all in the months and years to come.

Hi my name is Chelsea, I joined the team in Feb 2017. I am from Cabot and now live in Searcy. I have been an assistant since 2015. I love spending time with my boyfriend Isaac. In our free time we like to camp, fish, and atv ride. I cant wait to meet all the kiddos!

Hello, my name is Renee and I am a Receptionist at PDEA. I joined our great staff back in July 2017. I was born in and went to school in Forrest City but moved to Wynne in 2004. I have lived in the St. Francis/Cross counties my entire life. I worked at Sanyo for 33 years until it closed. I love traveling and seeing new places and enjoy almost all outdoor activities. I enjoy spending time with my family and teach a childrens Sunday school class at church. I have 2 children, Brandon Butler and wife Tiffany of Conway and Jennifer Miller (our dental hygienist here at PDEA) and husband Eddie of Wynne along with 4 wonderful grandchildren; Ryder, Pyper, Beckett and Harlan. I also have a my furbaby(Sampson).I truly enjoy getting to meet our patients. Its a wonderful place to work!

Dionna Schmidle our newest dental hygienist at our practice. Dionna graduated in May of 2017 from UAMS with her Bachelors of Science in dental hygiene. She lives in Searcy with her husband Gus and three children Savannah, Parker, and Rivers. In her free time she enjoys going to the lake, shopping, and watching her daughter do gymnastics. Dionna is excited to join our team and have the opportunity to take care of your children and their smiles.

Hannah Swaite Hannah Swaite grew up in Forrest City, Arkansas, but then relocated to Wynne, AR in 2018. She joined the Pediatric Dentistry of Eastern Arkansas team in July of 2018. She was also a patient of the clinic in her previous years as a child. She started out as the secretary at the front desk and has been crossed trained to now work in the back. I absolutely love being around the kids and hearing the funny stories they have. Hannah enjoys spending her down time with her husband, Hunter, and two dogs, Maverick and Jax. They share the joy of farming in the delta and spending their time outside with friends and family. She is also a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church of Wynne, AR and part of the serving team there as well. It is an amazing atmosphere for children and Doctor Cartillar has done a phenomenal job with the dcor in the office. Our doctors, Doctor Cartillar and Doctor Graham, and our staff are awesome with every child that has visited the office. Every child is different and every child is a blessing. We always love to see new faces and love to see returning patients. Hannah is beyond excited to see all the kids, cant wait to see you!!

Amanda Barnes My name is Amanda Barnes, I joined Pediatric Dentistry of Eastern Arkansas in June 2021. I am married with one daughter Alayna. I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy the outdoors hunting with my husband and daughter. I started dentistry in 1994 with Dr.Cartillar and spent the last 27 years in general dentistry. I am very excited about my new journey at Pediatric Dentistry of Eastern Arkansas.
