Dr. Curtis graduated from the Ole Miss School of Pharmacy before advancing to the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry, where he earned his D.M.D. degree. He went on to complete his pediatric residency at the Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin.
In practice for thirty-one years, Dr. Curtis has been a leader in the world of pediatric dentistry for over two decades. He is the former president of the The American Academy Of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), and is a recipient of their highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award. Dr. Curtis is also a former president of the Healthy Smiles Healthy Children The Foundation of AAPD, and maintains active membership in the American Dental Association, The Mississippi Dental Association, and Rotary International.
Dr. Curtis daughter, Dr. Katie, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She then earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at The University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry and attained her certificate in pediatric dentistry at UT Health in San Antonio, Texas. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Katie is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Mississippi Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the Mississippi Dental Association, and serves on the Political Action Committee of the MDA. Outside of the office, Dr. Katie advocates for the children in our community through her involvement in Junior Auxiliary of Columbus and by serving on the board of the St Pauls Episcopal School. Dr. Katie commutes to our Corinth office weekly but Columbus is home for her, her husband, and their two daughters, Bea and Livy. Dr. Katie enjoys working with her father, collaborating on cases with him, and being able to continue to provide a trustworthy dental home for patients in the Golden Triangle and surrounding areas.
Dr. Curtis graduated from the University of Mississippi before advancing to the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry, where he earned his D.M.D. degree. He went on to complete a 2 year pediatric residency at the Batson Childrens Hospital. After completion of this program, Dr. Curtis fulfilled the additional requirements to be recognized as a board certified pediatric dentist.
In practice since 2013, Dr. Curtis practiced in Desoto County, MS before making the decision to move his family to Madison, Alabama, which they embraced as their home. Dr. Curtis stays abreast of the latest advances in pediatric dentistry with active membership in the Mississippi Dental Association, Mississippi Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Alabama Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry College of Diplomates, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
When not in the office, Dr. Curtis is passionate about advocating for childrens health care, and enjoys participating in lobby day as well as mission projects here and abroad. Dr. Curtis also enjoys spending time with his family on beautiful Lewis Smith lake, hunting, fishing, skiing/snowboarding, and cooking.

This is the best place to take my children to the dentist. They're really friendly and knowledgeable. They're great with the little ones. I do recommend them. I have several friends and family who go because I told them of my kids experiences. It's over an hour drive for me and worth it. I started taking my children when they were around two years old. It's good to get the children used to going early. We've been going for several years now. They always get a gift, a toothbrush, and a balloon each time they go. They have a play castle with a slide that my kids always play on while waiting. Honestly I wish they would take adults as well because I'd definitely go.

Very Kid Friendly and Nice Staff. My Son visits Doctors a lot and are scared of anyone in a scrub. Last visit we didn't make it to the back. This visit we made it to the back and got it all done thank you Ms. April. She was so patient , sweet , and kind with my Son. I think we've overcome his fear of going to the chair. Now we have to work on laying down.

Professional, thorough, and friendly staff. Super smiles and very efficient. They are truly great with their patients and make sure leave the floor open for any concerns as well as discuss what to look out for until the next appointment. I would recommend them to anyone.

I absolutely love this place. The staff members are always friendly and not to mention they make my kids feel welcomed. They are great at interacting/connecting with children. I most definitely recommend this place to anyone with children. Hands down the best dentistry place for children.

I was dreading my children's first appointments with a dentist this past year, but the experience was by far one of the BEST experiences I've ever had with ANY dentist! Dr. Katie and Dr. Curtis were amazing with my children, spending extra time to make sure they felt comfortable enough to allow them to see their teeth. The office itself is awesome - a mini jungle gym home set up and some gaming systems kept my kiddos busy until we were seen, and I loved the little room with the rubber duckies in the middle of the office. The rest of the staff were super friendly as well. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone seeking a pediatric dentist.

The staff is welcoming from the front desk all the way till you checkout to leave. The dentists there definitely have the best personality for treating children of all ages. Our 3 year loves going to see them. Definitely recommend them.
