We take the oral health of our young patients very seriously at Pediatric Dental Specialists. We understand that going to the dentist can make some children anxious, so we work to help them feel calm and comfortable during their visit. Providing a full line of affordable and advanced dental services, we will help your child maintain a healthy, beautiful smile for years to come.
At Pediatric Dental Specialists, our goal is to eliminate the risk of dental disease and related problems for your child. This requires the cooperation of the child, parents, and the dentist. We believe that prevention of disease is far more enjoyable, less costly, and more comfortable for all concerned. Dental health also depends upon good habits, such as proper diet and regular dental visits. Our practice encourages first dental visits at the time of a childs first birthday.
Pediatric Dental Specialists believes in giving back to the community whenever we can. We are involved in a variety of great programs, including Give A Kid a Smile, YSA Soccer Sponsor, Billings Public Schools Saturday Live Sponsor, and the Cleft Palate Clinic. We also sponsor various clubs and sports in the Billings Public Schools and Billings Catholic Schools.
Originally from Bismarck, ND, Dr. Clarke received his dental degree from the University Of Nebraska Medical Center in 1986. He completed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a part-time instructor at the University of Nebraska School of Dentistry, and has staff privileges at St. Vincent Hospital and Northern Rockies Surgery Center.
Dr. Wilgus completed his dental degree from the University of Nebraska, College of Dentistry in 1989. He received his two-year post-graduate training in pediatric dentistry from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Wilgus is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is on staff at the Billings Clinic. He also has staff privileges at St. Vincent Hospital and Northern Rockies Surgery Center.
Tanner D. Bennion, DDS is excited to return to his hometown of Billings. He graduated from Skyview High School in 2004 and completed his bachelors degree in biology at Brigham Young University in 2009. He completed his dental degree at the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in 2013 and a 2-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Florida in Gainesville in 2015. He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and has privileges at Northern Rockies Surgery Center and St. Vincent Hospital.
Dr. Bennion enjoys the outdoors and woodworking in his spare time. He and his wife Jenny have five children who all love popsicles, running around, and living life to its fullest. Dr. Bennion is also fluent in Spanish.

Great, kind, patient with the little patients (aka kids). We moved our dental care here a few months ago and SO glad we did! The kids have actually learned a ton about teeth brushing and healthy teeth. AND I can really tell the difference between the pediatric specialty and regular dentists when working with my kids. Great staff too!

We decided to get a second opinion for my 5 yr old son and we couldn't be happier that our friend mentioned P.D.S. We saw Dr. Kelly and he was so patient and entertained my son the whole time he had to get work done. I will be telling all of my friends where to go, as I 10 out of 10 recommend P.D.S. for any families with young children!

The staff is so loving, compassionate and understanding. My 2 year old had to get a cavity filled and of course I was a little nervous and they took care of both of us so well. I couldn't recommend Pediatric Dental Specialists more!

Dr. Bennion is an amazing dentist. He works with my daughter who has anxiety and does everything to help keep her calm and comfortable. We are so thankful that he comes to Cody once a week! He is a blessing to our family and our community!

We started taking our children here when they were little. They're all teenagers and we no longer live in Montana but we continue to take the trip regularly so that they can continue to be seen. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the doctors are all very knowledgeable. Pediatric dental specialist will continue to be our dentist of choice until our children are too old to be seen.

They were fabulous. I showed up nearly an HOUR late for my appointment due error on part. They still got me in. They still treated me well. Our Dental Hygienist (I think her name was Sarah) was soooo great with my son (who is very reserved and nervous in new settings). He loved her. Our Dentist was also so great and accommodating. They have a mini play area in the waiting room which my kiddo loved and the whole atmosphere itself was so inviting for children. Definitely go here! I don't think you'll regret it and your kids will have a great dentist experience.

Awesome staff, not a long wait and they did my six yr. old boy and my 12 yr. old daughter the same time. The whole place was kid friendly and the ladies were amazing at making my kids feel comfortable and showing them what else we could be doing to keep there teeth healthy and clean. My husband and I thank you for a good dentist experience.

Worst customer service I have ever had there. A lady answered the phone, very rude to me, I had a few questions for a fist time dental visit for my daughter. She was so rude, not helpful at all! I WILL NEVER go here and NEVER recommend this place.

Dr. Clarke and Lora are truly an amazing team! I love how they take the time to explain the tools used so my child was not scared during the process. He was so excited and even said to dr Clarke, "you are the best dentist ever!" Thank you for all you do and Batman says he can't wait to come back!
