Dr. Hunt, a native of Morgan City, graduated from Morgan City High School, Louisiana State University and LSU School of Dentistry. She has completed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry from LSU School of Dentistry in affiliation with Childrens Hospital of New Orleans. Dr. Hunt has received training in anesthesia, treatment of medically and physically compromised patients, orthodontics, and growth and development of children.
Dr. Wood received an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University and continued on to dental school at the LSU School of Dentistry. She completed a residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the LSU School of Dentistry in affiliation with Childrens Hospital of New Orleans, and has received training in anesthesia, treatment of medically and physically compromised patients, orthodontics, and growth and development of children.
Dr. Hunt has won numerous awards, including the Louisiana New Dentist Award and the Health Centers in School Health Hero award. The Louisiana Dental Association recognized her as a Star in 2014. Dr. Hunt has served as the Pediatric Dental Lead for the Louisiana Mission of Mercy since 2016.
Dr. Hunt and her husband, Dr. Michael Bond, reside in Baton Rouge with their three children, Blakeley, Ryder and Arlie. They have two fur babies, Scout and Uno, as well as 6 chickens. The chickens do not have names.
During her free time, Dr. Hunt loves to run, read and travel to exotic locations. If she was not a pediatric dentist, she would like to be the Director of Fun at some large company in Silicon Valley. When asked about her family life, Dr. Hunt remarks, I knew I had reached the pinnacle of mommy hood when my 6-year-old asked me to pick her wedgie.

They have a strict no show policy- if you miss an appointment and don't call, they will not schedule you.

My son saw Dr. Hunt to have several cavities fixed. We never had trouble with my son and dentists before coming here. Their treatment of him has terrified him of dental work, and to this day we struggle to get him to see a dentist. Every time he gets in a dental chair, he starts recalling the memories saying "someone sat on his lap" to hold him down, they would not stop when he was crying for them to stop, and a clamp was jammed in his mouth to force it open.

Had circumstances where I couldn't call and cancel or reschedule a appointment within 24 hours. After I finally got a new phone, I called to reschedule and found out my child was dropped and flagged and no longer allowed to return. WOW. I will gladly take my sons insurance payment elsewhere.

Not sure you can call your business a pediatric dental office if you don't accept teenagers. Last time I checked pediatrics covers 15 and 16 year old children.

I should have paid attention to the other reviews prior to my kids establishing relationships with the dentists in this office. They cut both of my kids off as patients because of "missed" appointments. These missed appointments include if they reach out to you, its considered missed even though you provided them with an explanation (i.e. COVID) There is no warning, you're only told if you try to call and make an appointment. This is not the way to conduct a business, absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL!

My only issue is the policies as far as being late or life issues come up. The staff told the dentist did not want to see my kids any longer. The are not friendly nor understanding at all. They provide a great service but please, if you visit this office, please be on time or they will cut you off. They will let you know up front they will not treat your child any longer. Seems harsh but we had to find another pediatric dentist to treat our children.

Great experience in the past visits but if your child has any issues or pain they do not make available times. My child has been in pain and they will not fix the issue for 2 months. When I said I was surprised they don't make time for issues like this they said the earliest appointment a week earlier than the original appointment. I'm so disappointed

The ladies there are absolutely perfect! The girl that cleaned my son Demazis teeth was so sweet and patient with him. The communication between everyone is amazing and I left with no unanswered questions. I always forget a doctors excuse, & the ladies that answer the phone are so sweet and email them with no problem. I love it here!

I was dreading the idea of bringing my nonverbal 3 year old to the dentist but was completely shocked by how well he and my 5 year old daughter did! The assistants there were amazing as well as Dr. Hunt! You can tell they are passionate about what they do! Very sweet and patient and I'm so glad I chose them to take care of my babies!!!

I called as with a broken tooth. They had me in within an hour and solved the problem. They were so nice and the place is amazing for kids! I was so impressed. I totally recommend them!

The kids love going to see Dr. Johnnie! The Dentists and staff are so efficient with the parents time while giving you the time necessary to understand your child's teeth and health presently and long term. We highly recommend!

Worst pediatric dentist ever!! Keep the money returned from insurance and not let us know the balance. Call them to retrieve those money and they say oh it's not even 100 dollars so keep it as credit. WTF! Promise us to send the check at the end of the September and never did it. Call them again and again on Oct 3rd and they just say it's just beginning of the October and we just print the check and will send them today. Guys, it's already the 9th. Amazon is faster than this, OK? Just call them to see if you have extra money THAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT in your account.
