Dr. Luke was raised in Tifton, Georgia and is proud to have returned to his hometown to practice pediatric dentistry. He graduated with honors from Tift County High School in 2000. During high school, Dr. Luke enjoyed playing varsity baseball, being with family and spending time at Lake Blackshear.

After high school, Dr. Luke continued his education at Mercer University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2004 with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology. He then began Dental School at the Medical College of Georgia in the fall of 2004. Dr. Luke earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2008 from MCG.

Following dental school Dr. Luke trained in the speciality of pediatric dentistry for two years from 2008-2010 at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. He also trained at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta furthering his specialist training treating children with special needs. Dr. Luke's training in Atlanta was heavily emphasized in dental surgery at both Egleston Hosptial and Scottish Rite.

In September 2015 Dr. Luke became a board certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of theAmerican Board of Pediatric Dentistry(ABPD). Dr. Luke successfully completed the ABPD written and oral clinical examinations. This voluntary examination process shows Dr. Luke's commitment to exceptional patient care and continued mastery in pediatric dentistry.

In May 2021 Dr. Luke went one step further than board certification and became a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). A fellow is the name of a membership status in the AAPD, distinguishing those persons who have contributed above and beyond in the field of pediatric dentistry. Fellows are called upon and respected for their extraordinary commitment to the advancement of the science of pediatric dentistry. Fellows of the AAPD have demonstrated the highest level of knowledge and expertise in pediatric dentistry.

During his junior year in high school, Dr. Luke reconnected with Jeanine, a friend from kindergarten. She just happened to be standing behind him in their kindergarten class picture! (See picture above).

Dr. Luke's goal is to provide excellence in total oral health care in an office environment that is a fun and friendly place for his patients. He seeks to educate his patients and invest in their lives to develop a high level of trust resulting in a lasting relationship.

Dr. Aksana Marshall is originally from Belarus in Eastern Europe and now considers Douglas her hometown. She completed her Associate of Science degree in Chemistry at South Georgia College and Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry at Valdosta State University. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2010. Following dental school, she completed a three-year residency in orthodontics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2013, where she also served as chief resident. Dr. Marshall practiced orthodontics and general dentistry for two years in Augusta, GA, when she discovered her love and passion working with young children and helping them develop healthy smile. This led her to pursue additional training in pediatric dentistry and complete her pediatric dental residency at MCG in Augusta. During her residency training, she focused on providing comprehensive dental care for children of all ages, including treatment under general anesthesia in a hospital setting. As part of her residency, she also received extensive training at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta, where care was focused on children with special healthcare needs. Dr. Marshall is a pediatric dental and orthodontic specialist, and her unique and extensive dental training makes her one of few dual trained dental specialists in the nation.

Dr. Marshall is married to Walter Marshall, who is from Douglas. She grows a vegetable garden each year and enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors.They have three rescue dogs who keep them busy - Maxx (a daschund), Gracie (a bulldog mix), and Charlie (a shepherd mix).

In October 2018 Dr. Marshall became aboard certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of theAmerican Board of Pediatric Dentistry(ABPD). Dr. Marshall successfully completed the rigorous ABPD written and oral clinical examinations.

Dr. Marshall is committed to maintaining excellence in her knowledge by attending continuing education courses and various local and national dental meetings. She is an active member of the Georgia Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry. She is licensed to practice both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics in the state of Georgia.
