My son is four, he is autistic, and was a referral from another office. Dr. Mansman, Gloria and Angie were FABULOUS. My son struggles with the dentist, change, strong lights, smells... a new dentist office is a nightmare. He had two crowns that had become loose and infected and needed pulled. Missed school multiple times and its been weeks since he was able to sleep through the night. When I say this team was QUICK, gentle, and kind, I cannot overstate that. I cannot overstate how important a kind demeanor is. They even had sunglasses to protect his eyes while under the light! They took care of my son THE SAME DAY which is SO important. I can honestly say that they have life time patients in us, despite the hour and a half drive to see them, simply because they were so sweet to my son and so understanding. I was able to stay with him as they examined him and while they pulled his teeth. This made such a huge difference in the experience for my son. I would 100% recommend this office to anyone who has a child with special needs. The Dentist, the hygienist, the nurses, will not disappoint you. 10/10 will go again. Thank you so much for taking care of my baby. I cant wait to introduce my other son to your office where I know they will both find a safe space for them. That being said. There is a woman in the front office who was absolutely heinous. She was rude, condescending, and has not a single welcoming or kind bone in her body. She did not greet me, she told me to BE QUIET when I asked if I should sit down, after signing in, and informed me she would be scheduling me for another day because we were 3 minutes late coming in. (I had called and let them know we were rushing to them after google maps sent us to the wrong place in Hagerstown, I had been assured that as long as I was within a ten minute window my son would be seen. While I understand that the policy is to keep people from taking advantage, I feel this was a little extreme, for three single minutes especially after the call and reassurance.) I explained the situation and she kept being confrontational, refusing to listen and informing me to 'calm down. calm down now. calm down. I'm talking. Calm down." It was absolutely infuriating, belittling, and I can not fathom why she is in a position at the front. Especially when the dentists and everyone else was so sweet and welcoming. Even the ladies who checked us out were nice and helpful. But, this woman was so rude. I don't even know what her name was, It took everything I had not to walk out. If my son hadn't needed the appointment so badly, I would have. And I would have missed out on the best dentist experience in my child's life. Another woman eventually stepped in to help me, I was not rescheduled for another day. When I sat down to fill out paperwork, another mother in the waiting room, with a small redheaded cutie, made a point of telling me that the woman at the window was out of line and she was dismayed by such rudeness. I agree wholeheartedly. I would caution that this negativity 'greeting' patients may be robbing children of positive experiences and running parents off. I told the hygienist who initially helped me that I had no intention of coming back because of this woman, that's how bad it was. My mind was changed by the stellar attitudes of literally everyone else. A little grace, a little empathy, or even just respecting that we had been told we were within the 'safe' window at least thirty minutes earlier, anything, would have been better than how she acted. Come to find out, it was simply that we had to fill out new intake paperwork before being seen. That's all. It took me less than ten minutes to fill it out. It was not worth the anxiety, the condescension or the threats to cancel/reschedule my sons appointment. It is worth pointing out that this attitude is obviously not in league with the culture of the office, as we found out when they called my child back. I stand by my five stars because the amazingness of the everyone else outshone her bully attitude.

We had such a great experience with Dr. Mahdi and Richard today. My 8 year old has has a terrible fear of dentists and the thought of taking her had us both anxious. Most appointments at her old dentist office ended in me sitting on her, just to give you an idea. The lady at the desk was very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Mahdi and Richard made her feel comfortable from the start. They explained everything to her in honest yet fun kid friendly language. My kiddo had to get the works done (extraction, crowns, etc). They were absolutely amazing. They sang songs, talked to her the whole time, and even had her giggling. She left with a numb smile and is no longer afraid of the dentist. Thank you so much Dr. Mahdi and Richard!!

Awful service. We had to reschedule once because my kid had COVID and then for the next appt I had to reschedule but they put me on hold for ONE hour so I hung up. Now they're telling me I'm under review for dismissal because of "missed appointments". This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. We have made all of our other appointments and most of the time we have to wait an hour or more past our scheduled time. Doesn't that count for anything?

Appointment confirmed at 1615 approximately 48 hours ago. Upon entering at 1605, they say the appointment has been moved to 1630 and they have *no idea* why; since 1630 till 1705 (the time they close!), we have been sitting in a freezing cold room. We got an hour wait for terrible service! Which sucks because the dental hygienists are generally very good/attentive. This is, unfortunately, the 3rd time that this has happened to me and my child. I will NEVER return and have already made an appointment at a different dental practice, as this office has made it very apparent: IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY! How many kids can they cram in/constant overscheduling of their staff; it's depressing and my child hates it as much as I do. Just stop apologizing; it's pathetic and you burned that bridge by the dismal "care" that you provided. Don't worry, you will never hear from me again. tl;dr: Changed appointment with no notice, waited for an hour in a freezing cold room, horrible communication. Go anywhere but here.

Dr. Gupta is outstanding with my child. Take time to explain everything and take time with my son to address his anxiety. Also Simona and Rakeya and all the staff here just make you feel welcome. 5 star all around.

I usually love this place for my kids but it seems like they are over booking appointments and don't have the adequate amount of staff to provide services. They say my appointment is at a certain time but don't see me until an hour later. Very unprofessional of them. I am sure if I was an hour late to my appointment they wouldn't even see me! Nothing to do with the staff, staff is amazing and friendly but please stop overbooking appointments if you can't see your patients at the time they are told to be at the office for their appointments!

I should have read additional reviews prior to taking my son here. He was given 2 silver crowns today and is still crying in pain about them at midnight (and now I need to take him elsewhere/get a second opinion to have them removed). Both times we came to the practice my son was traumatized with the work that was done, in massive pain, and there was absolutely no accountability from the dentist who was doing the work. No detail as to that he would be put under with laughing gas or the side affects or that the work they were doing was so extreme until I was in the room. Both times we also waited more than an hour from our appt time for someone to start the actual work. Do not go here!

We had a wonderful experience here for our son's cavity fixing (filings and crowns) after having 2 unsuccessful appointments at 2 general dentistry. Dr. Mahdi is so experienced, patient and knowledgeable with treating kids. We are so grateful that our son was treated by him. My 8 year old son asked to come back for his future dentist appointments.

Today on 8-30-2022 my son Darrius had an appointment to get some work done. It is always a pleasure and a great experience when we are getting services completed. Everyone is always so pleasant and kind to us every visit. Our visit today was extremely wonderful and had many many laughs and jokes from our lovely individuals that provided treatment today. I'd like to give a huge thanks and shout out to Dr. Lam, Wendy, Nicole and Mrs. Rekya. You all are truly wonderful and thank you for always making our visits ones to remember!!! You all are amazing at what you do!!!

My son is a new patient to Pediatric Dental Center of Frederick. I highly recommend taking your children here. My son received exceptional care from Dr.Lam, Jackie, Wendy and Kevin. The team here really takes the time to explain things to the parents and make sure you know everything that they are going to do. They make sure that the child/children are taken care of and that they are comfortable. My son and I enjoyed our visit with all of you today. He is excited to come back for his next cleaning. Thank you for the amazing service you provided today :)

Worst experience ever for a pediatric dentist. The waiting room is a zoo, full of people at least 25. Waited over thirty mins after apt time when told to come early, which we did- then put in room to be told we were being seen by a different doctor . Then said oh he will see you wait out in wiring room. Then 15 mins later, out in another back exam room, has huge tv but no one turns it on. 15 mins later asked when we will be seen, now an hr has already passed and still no doctor to be told that treatment would not be done today just an eval. Again not told by anyone that treatment could t be done when X-ray already sent and appointment made. I definitely would not return to this chaos mess and lack of care. Clearly money is the only factor they seem to care about to squeeze as many people in as possible and make you have unnecessary multiple appointments

Mario and Jackson were so patient and helpful with my boys who were having anxiety about their cleaning this morning. They went above and beyond, each sitting with them, giving them pep talks, comforting them, getting them balloons, etc.. I cannot say enough great things about them.

Where do I even begin. I left a good review last week but after todays experience I had to delete that and start over. My 5 year old daughter was referred here for some dental work for a cavity. I was told at her appointment last week she would be in a "twilight sedation" and laughing gas would be used to keep her calm while they fixed her tooth. Everything seems great. But today, we get in the room in a hurry I'm thrown a pile of paperwork to initial in 150 places and they start the procedure and tell me they like when parents can hold the child's hands just incase they go up and down because "laughing gas can make them feel like they are floating" I was absolutely traumatized by the procedure my daughter had today. 3 caps and a pulled tooth. I had no idea she needed this much work or I would have asked for a second opinion before covering her mouth in silver caps. My daughter is now embarrassed of her mouth. Cavities are just a problem she seems to have, we brush and floss daily and she still ended up with cavities. When my daughters procedure started, I was shocked at how they actually wanted me to set there to hold her down, had another lady holding her upper body down, the dentist hit her cavity and she absolutely started screaming and shrieking in pain: the dentist keeps telling her it doesn't hurt but I know my child's cry and she was in pain. He then stopped and gave her another shot for the pain and numbing but my daughter just wanted to set up and stop being held down for a second. After holding her down and listing to her scream, they called in another woman to just hold her head. So now my 38lb five year old daughter is being held down by 4 grown adult people while she's screaming help and owww, and the dentist Tells her to stop saying owe or no one will believe her when it really hurts. My heart was hurting. I couldn't want for it to be over but once he started, I knew he would need to finish or her nerves would be exposed because he had drilled away part of her teeth. After 20 minutes of screaming and fear my daughter was finally free and just kept telling me she didn't want people squishing her and pushing her down. My adrenaline was so high during the procedure my blood sugar dropped and they had to give me glucose tabs before I could leave. My daughter has a busted lip and is traumatized, I don't think I'll ever be able to get her to willingly step in a dentists office again. I am still in shock and physically sick thinking about what happened today. I would recommend looking around for different options as much as possible before having cavity work done at this office. I wish I could go back and never have went to this office but it's in the past now. All I can do is hope that other parents are aware of the practices at this office.

Pregnant and with two kids for checkup, 7 year old and 1.5year old. Appointment at 8am. They started my child's check 8:30am, xray 8:45 and still waiting for cleaning. It's obvious a toddler will not be patient for this long Staff is nice
