His professional qualifications include B.A. and D.M.D. degrees from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He is a medical and surgical staff member at Brandon Regional Hospital, an Associate Clinical Professor, and teaches future Pediatric Dentists at the University of Florida. He has achieved the highest standards of orthodontic care and was awarded the title Diplomate of the American Orthodontic Society by his peers.
Before establishing Pediatric Dental Center in 1975, Dr. Gonzalez was Chief Resident in Pediatric Dentistry at the Philadelphia Children's Hospital. In 2013, Dr. Gonzalez sold the Brandon location of the Pediatric Dental Center and consolidated his pediatric dentistry and orthodontic practice to his Tampa location on South Dale Mabry Highway.
As national spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentristry, his views and techniques are frequently featured by the nation's media, who have identified him as a leader in his profession. He is a prominent lecturer both in the U.S. and in Europe, and his published work on pediatric dentistry has been translated into several languages.
The Pediatric Dental Center offers highly capable, friendlyand professional staff members to serve you and your children. The staff includes Registered Dental Hygienists, Clinical and Orthodontic Assistants, Patient and New Patient Coordinators, Insurance Coordinator and Office Managers.

We love this whole experience with the dentist, his staff, and theor practices. They always take all 4 of our boys back at the same time and we have rarely spent more than 30m for an appointment. They take Tricare and the patient cost is completely reasonable!!

My daughter received multiple fillings at the office that have fallen out. One filing came out the same day. The most recent fell out and set up a horrible dental abscess which was treated with antibiotics and later a permanent filling placed. The day after the last procedure she developed a second dental abscess in the same tooth. We decided to seek care elsewhere. After seeking a second opinion I was astonished at the extensive dental work my daughter now needs.

Takes lots of insurances, the staff clearly care for their patience. The waiting room is dated, bring your own toys if you have kids waiting!

We love going to this dentist. By far exceeded my expectations. Professional,friendly, outgoing they do there best to make you feel comfortable. They are a family at that office we highly recommend.

Parents be Aware!! I beg everyone PLEASE DO NOT take your child to this place. Their practice is barbaric. My 3 yr old grandson had a tooth fracture, the recommendation was to extract the tooth, they used local - Absolutely NOTHING else to help relax this child during the procedure, parents were asked to hold him down while he was moving around screaming hysterically in horror, the tooth did not come entirely out turns out, it was shattered in pieces meaning he had to go back in more than once. You would think at this point he would re-evaluate and give this child something else so he would not be aware or exposed to more discomfort and anxiety, but NO they traumatized him and the parents by going again and again while he was held down screaming and moving around. Of course the screams can't be heard from the lobby. I have NEVER EVER heard of a dentist that allow patients to suffer this way, what a horrific experience, as an adult I had many dental procedures done and never been exposed to such a thing. SHAME on you doctor for NOT practicing medical compassion towards your patients specially children.

This was by all mean the worse experience my Grandson had. Dr extracted his front tooth with local anesthesia only and had the parent hold the child down while Dr ext his tooth . What happened to the happy juice to at least have the child relax before putting him in so a horrible and terrifying experience I'm just hoping my Grandson doesn't remember this bad experience .Now I know why kids don't like to visit the Dentist . I won't take your kid there !!

I've been coming here since I was 2 years old and now my 8 year old and 2 year old brothers come as well. The staff and Dr. Gonzalez have always been so nice and made me and my brothers feel comfortable!

Dr Gonzalez and his staff are great! They are always very attentive to all of my children's dental needs. They are gentle and reassure my kids if they are ever scared before having dental work done. The teamwork between Dr. Gonzalez and his staff is amazing!

First time here, and I must say I absolutely love this place! Great dentist are hard to come by! The doctor is very nice and professional, his staff are very sweet and polite! They all work so very well with kids! And for me that is a mega thumbs up! Had a beautiful experience for kids here! My 5 yr enjoyed his experience so much, he said mommy thank you for taking me to the dentist!! This place is definitely a keeper!

Great pediatric dentist. Fits you in when he can and moves things around to accommodate the parent. Been going to him for years and my kids are happy. Truely happy to have someone who cares for kids like he does.

Dr. Gonzalez and the team went above and beyond taking care of my 5 year olds tooth. She was in pain for a while. I was able to get her seen right away and they were able to fix the tooth right away. I've been to 2 previous dentist and I'm so glad that I found Dr. Gonzalez. He will for sure be our children's dentist going forward.

Do NOT take your children here!!! My sister had a very traumatic experience with this place. She was strapped down, forced to sit in the chair, and they did not allow my mom into the room. It has been over 15+ years and she is still traumatized. After everything was done, she was bleeding around the corners of her mouth because of how tight they put the oxygen mask. She had nightmares and was screaming for nights on end after. This place does not care for their patients. Please do not take your children here.
