Pediatric Dental Center is a leading pediatric dental practice serving the Greater Cincinnati area including Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana and Cincinnati. The team at Pediatric Dental Center is committed to building and reinforcing the foundation for lifelong oral health from infancy through adolescence.

We have each specialized in pediatric dentistry and are dedicated to making childrens visits to the dentist pleasant and comfortable. This philosophy builds a relationship of trust and confidence and takes the fear out of visiting the dentist. This way children feel good about visiting the dentist and are encouraged to care for their own teeth.

The American Association of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that dental visits begin no later than 12-months as an effective way to begin a lifelong program of preventing dental disease. During the 12-month dental visit, we examine the child for early tooth decay, provide parents with information on proper oral and facial development and see if the teeth are growing in properly.

Whether you visit our Burlington KY, Crestview Hills KY, or Cold Spring KY office, at the Pediatric Dental Center, we are concerned about your childs total health care. Good oral health is an important part of total health. Because dental decay is 100% preventable, our treatment approach centers on prevention. We also focus on early detection of and treatment of dental diseases, and we keep current on the latest advances in dentistry for children.

Preventive dentistry begins with the first tooth. Daily cleaning of the teeth should begin as soon as the first tooth erupts. Dental decay can occur at an astounding rate. In fact, the American Dental Association reports that, just because babies dont have any visible teeth, [that] doesnt mean they cant get cavities.

The potential for rapid decay is the reason the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends the second step of preventative dentistry, a childs first dental exam, occur no later than his or her first birthday. Early dental visits are the foundation of a lifetime of good oral health. The younger the child is at his or her first dental visit, the better the chance of preventing dental disease and helping your child develop a cavity-free smile. Waiting until a child is 3 years old or cooperative enough to bring them in for their first dental visit may result in the child developing preventable dental problems.

The third component of preventative dentistry is developing a long-term treatment plan. We educate the patient and the guardian as to what they can do over time to promote normal dental growth and development. Some of these methods include practicing good oral hygiene, controlling diet, using fluoride, and installing sealants.

As far as first visits go for my toddler, I couldn't have asked for it to go any better! They made the experience fun, fast and interactive for my son. He left with a balloon and a positive impression of going to the dentist!

Dr. Soper is a greedy insurance con. How do you have a discussion with a parent in front of other patients and the child to make the parent feel like a bad parent. You do not need to fill baby teeth cavities. It is just a way to hike up the cost for insurance and the parents. More then willing to pay for permanent tooth repair but not the extra nonsense. The bbb is next.

The staff at Pediatric dental center off of Thomasmore are amazing. My son is a little rambunctious and they absolutely are amazing at being able to get him seen and keep his mind busy. They are so friendly and welcoming.

Really debating on switching dental offices all together. My 4 year old has sever anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist and they threw a fit about me walking my son back to his room. He has allergies and they almost didn't see him because he had to clear his throat, I even offered to have his doctor call them that we just seen 4 days ago! The ladies at the front were gossiping and whispering about us and then after awhile they started to gossip about co workers. I felt like I was back in highschool. Not to mention, as I'm writing this the lady at the front desk is clearing her throat just like my son was. Maybe she should go home?

Best pediatric dental care anywhere. This team of professionals provides an experience from start to finish that is as quick and painless for the parents as it is for the children. I'm sure that insurance companies would agree as their rates are entirely reasonable and realistic. We now take all of our children to the Pediatric Dental Center and suggest that you do the same.

I have been taking my 6 year old and 4 year old here since their first checkup (around 1 yr old). We haven't had any problems with them until now. My 4 year old has to have two cavities filled and will be receiving the "laughing gas" and he has NEVER had anything like this before. They absolutely REFUSE to allow me to go back with him! Not even while he receives the laughing gas. So I cancelled the appointment and switched dentists! I do not feel comfortable with it and that they just absolutely REFUSE to allow parents to be with their children. Not to mention the receptionist when I asked about it and them not allowing me to go back I said I didn't feel comfortable with that she said "so do you want me to go ahead and cancel the appointment" in the most RUDE way ever.

Dr. Cooper and the staff at Pediatric Dental Center were great at my son's first dental appointment! They made us feel welcome and provided me with great information as a first time mom. We look forward to coming back for years to come!
