Pediatric Dental Center is a leading pediatric dental practice serving the Greater Cincinnati area including Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana and Cincinnati. The team at Pediatric Dental Center is committed to building and reinforcing the foundation for lifelong oral health from infancy through adolescence.

We have each specialized in pediatric dentistry and are dedicated to making childrens visits to the dentist pleasant and comfortable. This philosophy builds a relationship of trust and confidence and takes the fear out of visiting the dentist. This way children feel good about visiting the dentist and are encouraged to care for their own teeth.

The American Association of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that dental visits begin no later than 12-months as an effective way to begin a lifelong program of preventing dental disease. During the 12-month dental visit, we examine the child for early tooth decay, provide parents with information on proper oral and facial development and see if the teeth are growing in properly.

Whether you visit our Burlington KY, Crestview Hills KY, or Cold Spring KY office, at the Pediatric Dental Center, we are concerned about your childs total health care. Good oral health is an important part of total health. Because dental decay is 100% preventable, our treatment approach centers on prevention. We also focus on early detection of and treatment of dental diseases, and we keep current on the latest advances in dentistry for children.

Preventive dentistry begins with the first tooth. Daily cleaning of the teeth should begin as soon as the first tooth erupts. Dental decay can occur at an astounding rate. In fact, the American Dental Association reports that, just because babies dont have any visible teeth, [that] doesnt mean they cant get cavities.

The potential for rapid decay is the reason the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends the second step of preventative dentistry, a childs first dental exam, occur no later than his or her first birthday. Early dental visits are the foundation of a lifetime of good oral health. The younger the child is at his or her first dental visit, the better the chance of preventing dental disease and helping your child develop a cavity-free smile. Waiting until a child is 3 years old or cooperative enough to bring them in for their first dental visit may result in the child developing preventable dental problems.

The third component of preventative dentistry is developing a long-term treatment plan. We educate the patient and the guardian as to what they can do over time to promote normal dental growth and development. Some of these methods include practicing good oral hygiene, controlling diet, using fluoride, and installing sealants.

Friendly staff and efficient! My son went to the appointment by himself and afterwards they called me to update me on his exam. Way to go above and beyond!

I brought 2 of my kids here because we needed to find a local dentist and were referred here by another office. The hygienist was friendly and explained every step to my 5 year old daughter (her first dentist visit). My daughter felt at ease throughout the process and wanted her teeth cleaned twice! After her cleaning and before leaving the office, she gave the hygienist a big hug as a thank you :) I highly recommend this dental office just because of how sweet they are with children!

I would recommend Dr Soper to anyone!! My kids have loyally been with him for four a little over seven years now... but I would not recommend Dr Jaclyn Kachurak.. I took my four year old in for some treatment and she wanted to restrain him and put him in a harness because he wasn't co-operating with her... when I told her no (she wouldn't even throw me a bone and let me sit back there with him to claim him down) she took me out of the room to sign a paper.. I asked what it was for she said so that the next time she can restrain him!! I told her I WASN'T signing it!! I would hate to see how she treats her own kids if she has any.. if that's her go too method... it just stinks because even though you been there so long YOUR LOYALTY don't mean nothing!!

I loved my Burlington office experience. However my daughter chipped her tooth for a second time so we took an appointment at the Cold Springs location which we had never been to before, it's a bit difficult to find and my daughter has high anxiety so we were about 15 minutes late. I had called to inform them we would be late and asked if we should still bring her, they said yes.. only to then tell us they could do nothing for us when we arrived. My husband was upset with the experience so he left HIS review afterwards. I guess the dentist didn't appreciate the review because she called me numerous times to personally apologize and I also apologized for being late. I rescheduled at the Burlington office and she explained she would be the dentist at that office on her scheduled date as well and asked if I felt comfortable with her doing it, I told her yes, I never questioned her ability to do her job only the lack of communication. They called me today (my daughters appointment day) to tell me that because my husbands review was still posted for everyone to see they questioned whether I or the doctor was comfortable enough to do the services my daughter needed. I thought they were calling to confirm her appointment but it was more about the google review than it was about my child. Which confused me bc I thought the dentist and I already spoke and confirmed she would be doing it today?? So basically don't ever leave this practice a bad review, they'll call you more times about the review than they call about your child. Unprofessional is the only word I can use to describe my experience. My daughters tooth is still chipped but we will absolutely be seeking another practice. I feel like Dr. Kachurak is more concerned with their google reviews than she is about her patients, this is my OPINION and my review. My issue initially was with the lack of communication from front office staff but today that issue has extended to the Dr. herself.

Dentist is amazing! Front office staff is most rudest people ever! Have not ever missed an appointment or rescheduled (they did twice during pandemic year) yet few minutes late to 2 o'clock appointment with a 2:30 right after for two of our grandkids and front office lady was very rude and unprofessional! Needless to say switching dentist.

Something really weird: I pushed the new paitent button when calling, and someone picked up and I told her I wanted to schedule an appointment. She was happy to help this new patient. Then she asked if I had dental insurance and asked if she took Humana Medicaid (not knowing I also have a flexible spending card from work that I've used for dental and even eye glasses). Then she said "sorry we're not taking new patients right now". So you be the judge here... If you don't accept Medicaid say that. Don't lie? That makes it worse.

If your child has any kind of anxiety about the dentist, big or small I wouldn't recommend going here. They are not kid friendly.

My daughter is absolutely terrified of going to the dentist. To the point of not opening her mouth except to scream. We both get much anxiety when she has to have her teeth cleaned. As new patients with PDC I'm so pleased with her care and our entire visit. Our hygienist was nothing short of amazing. Her patience and understanding helped my daughter get through the appointment. We are so happy we chose PDC!

We won't be going anywhere else! My daughter wasn't nervous at all and kept talking about how nice everyone was. This was her first dental cleaning, so it was important for us to know she felt secure in the process. Thanks PDC!
