It takes more than technical skill to be a good childrens dentist. It takes compassion and commitment. Dr. George Lin has those traits in abundance. While making your child and you comfortable, he gets your child off on the right path to dental health in a practical, safe, and positive manner.

Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Philip Rutkowski is proud to be from the Midwest. He received his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at University of Michigan and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. While at U of M, Dr. Rutkowski was elected to the Michigan chapter of the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society for academic achievement and merit. After graduation, he moved to Chicago to start his career in dentistry.

Dr. Richard Klarck strives to create positive experiences for patients that will last a lifetime. He understands that each patient requires personalized care which is achieved through trust, and open communication between patients and their families. Dr. Klarcks favorite part about being a pediatric dentist is being able to play a role in patients developmental milestones while empowering patient independence.

Dr. Nay Soh grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. She received her Bachelors degree in Biology and Marketing from Augustana College and her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. She completed her pediatric residency at UIC and in addition received her Masters degree in Oral sciences. She has been practicing pediatric dentistry for over 20 years.

Dr. Wale is an orthodontist. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry. Here he earned a certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree.

A pedodontist is a dentist who has received advanced specialty training in meeting the dental needs of children from infancy to adolescence. Pedodontists, also referred to as pediatric dentists, during the course of their post graduate training extensively study child development and psychology, behavior management, caring for children with special needs, methods of handling oral/facial trauma, anesthesia and sedation methods, as well as develop a comprehensive understanding of facial growth and dental development. In addition to all of this, pedodontists acquire the hands-on clinical skills to successfully treat the dental needs of every child at every stage of development. Pedodontists truly enjoy working with children and strive to make each of their dental care experiences a positive one.

Even before your child is born, their first set of teeth is already forming. In fact, before they are a year old their new teeth will start to appear in their mouth. This is why maintaining their oral health becomes such an important consideration at such an early point in their lives. According to the American Dental Association parents are advised to have their baby see the dentist around the time of their first birthday.

Your babys first teeth will start to appear in the 6 to 12 month range. While this is an extraordinary milestone, you need to be aware that your baby may find the experience a little bit uncomfortable. Teething can make them feel irritable. They may be fussy, have trouble sleeping, not want to eat, and be drooling quite a bit. While you are powerless to speed up the process of teething, there are a few things that you can do to soothe your baby as their new teeth are erupting into place. Common approaches to helping your baby feel more comfortable while getting their new teeth include teething rings or a cold spoon or moist gauze rubbed over their gums. Even for these few new teeth, it is important to establish an oral healthcare regimen for your baby. For information on when your babys first set of teeth will erupt into place, consult this time line from the American Dental Association.

Some children persist in sucking their thumbs or fingers beyond their preschool years. For these children the activity continues to be a source of comfort, relaxation, and security. It may even help them fall asleep at night. However, it is important as parents to be aware that if your childs thumb or finger sucking habit is still present when their permanent teeth come in, there is a greater chance of developing a bad bite. This means that if the activity has not ceased by the age of five or six years, you need to constructively and gently help your child stop the habit. It is also a good idea to have a comprehensive evaluation at this time. Your pedodontist can assess if there are any habit related alterations to the alignment of your childs teeth or jaws, or if it is affecting their speech or swallowing patterns. They can also discuss habit control strategies with you, as well as follow your childs bite and facial development as they grow. If there are recommendations that interceptive appliances or corrective orthodontic care is required, the pedodontist will discuss these with you.

I'm extremely happy with this practice! The waiting room is comfortable, has pac-man and fish, the staff are super friendly, we didn't wait AT ALL (had to play pac-man after the appointment...), the hygienist was super calming for my 3year old, gave him lots of explanation and time and choices, and the dentist was great! We were in and out IN 20 MINUTES!! My nervous kid smiled the whole time. We'll be back :)

Our twins loved visiting Pediatric Dental Associates! They want to go back already. The office and staff are second to none and Dr Talati was amazing, informative and very engaging. I love the welcoming feel and the care taken for our almost 3 year old twins.

We usually see Dr Talati in the Buffalo Grove location, but they are currently renovating there so we saw her at this office. She has been taking care of our three kids for years. My daughter is afraid of dentists and Dr. Talati always makes her feel calm and comfortable. This location is so kid friendly clean, timely and has very friendly staff. Couldn't recommend this office or Dr. Talati more!!!

Dr. Anjali Talati at Pediatric Dental Associates & Orthodontics is extremely professional and well versed in child pediatrics. I cannot express how grateful I am. She worked swiftly and adjusted to my daughters dental needs. Dr. Talati communicates well with both the child and parent. All dental professionals at this practice work like a well oiled machine, all aware of the importance of getting a young child in and out of the dental chair as fast as possible, without degrading the level of care to do so. Highly recommend.

We started seeing Dr. Lin and his staff when our son was born with a tongue and lip tie. He was very thoughtful and helpful in this situation we knew little about. We decided to continue seeing Dr. Lin for our kid's regular dental checkups. Every time our kids look forward to their appointments. Each one of our children feels comfortable with the staff and Dr. Lin which makes a world of a difference for dad and mom. We highly recommend Dr. Lin for pediatric dental needs.

This is the 3rd time we coming to this dentist location The recent visit was for check up and cleaning as always my son had a wonderful time during his visit, comfortable, happy and not scared at all!! Zina at the front desk is SUPER nice and caring, she called before the visit explaining The billing, the customer portion responsibility, she was really patient explaining all the details... After the visit she returned my call and explained again the bill after the insurance took care of the claim. I have to admit that having a wonderful staff like ZINA is so rare these days and I appreciate all her effort and attention to the customers

I picked this dentist office simply because it was in network and close. I'm glad I did. The front desk staff is very friendly, especially to my 2 toddlers who were getting their first teeth cleaning. The waiting room is very open with an old school Pac Man game console that kept them busy. The dentist and technicians were equally warm and friendly to my kids who I thought were going to be very scared. But the environment made them at ease and my visit was a success.

My son was recently seen here for his first dental cleaning for kindergarten. First of all, scheduling the appointment couldn't be any easier! They were very thorough with the intake and go as far checking the insurance while you are with them on the phone. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by the friendly receptionist Xena. After that, hygienist Nicole took us to the back and was very kind to my son. We saw dr talati and she answered all my questions and was overall amazing. I highly recommend this place!
