It takes more than technical skill to be a good childrens dentist. It takes compassion and commitment. Dr. George Lin has those traits in abundance. While making your child and you comfortable, he gets your child off on the right path to dental health in a practical, safe, and positive manner.

Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Philip Rutkowski is proud to be from the Midwest. He received his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at University of Michigan and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. While at U of M, Dr. Rutkowski was elected to the Michigan chapter of the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society for academic achievement and merit. After graduation, he moved to Chicago to start his career in dentistry.

Dr. Richard Klarck strives to create positive experiences for patients that will last a lifetime. He understands that each patient requires personalized care which is achieved through trust, and open communication between patients and their families. Dr. Klarcks favorite part about being a pediatric dentist is being able to play a role in patients developmental milestones while empowering patient independence.

A pedodontist is a dentist who has received advanced specialty training in meeting the dental needs of children from infancy to adolescence. Pedodontists, also referred to as pediatric dentists, during the course of their post graduate training extensively study child development and psychology, behavior management, caring for children with special needs, methods of handling oral/facial trauma, anesthesia and sedation methods, as well as develop a comprehensive understanding of facial growth and dental development. In addition to all of this, pedodontists acquire the hands-on clinical skills to successfully treat the dental needs of every child at every stage of development. Pedodontists truly enjoy working with children and strive to make each of their dental care experiences a positive one.

Even before your child is born, their first set of teeth is already forming. In fact, before they are a year old their new teeth will start to appear in their mouth. This is why maintaining their oral health becomes such an important consideration at such an early point in their lives. According to the American Dental Association parents are advised to have their baby see the dentist around the time of their first birthday.

Your babys first teeth will start to appear in the 6 to 12 month range. While this is an extraordinary milestone, you need to be aware that your baby may find the experience a little bit uncomfortable. Teething can make them feel irritable. They may be fussy, have trouble sleeping, not want to eat, and be drooling quite a bit. While you are powerless to speed up the process of teething, there are a few things that you can do to soothe your baby as their new teeth are erupting into place. Common approaches to helping your baby feel more comfortable while getting their new teeth include teething rings or a cold spoon or moist gauze rubbed over their gums. Even for these few new teeth, it is important to establish an oral healthcare regimen for your baby. For information on when your babys first set of teeth will erupt into place, consult this time line from the American Dental Association.

Some children persist in sucking their thumbs or fingers beyond their preschool years. For these children the activity continues to be a source of comfort, relaxation, and security. It may even help them fall asleep at night. However, it is important as parents to be aware that if your childs thumb or finger sucking habit is still present when their permanent teeth come in, there is a greater chance of developing a bad bite. This means that if the activity has not ceased by the age of five or six years, you need to constructively and gently help your child stop the habit. It is also a good idea to have a comprehensive evaluation at this time. Your pedodontist can assess if there are any habit related alterations to the alignment of your childs teeth or jaws, or if it is affecting their speech or swallowing patterns. They can also discuss habit control strategies with you, as well as follow your childs bite and facial development as they grow. If there are recommendations that interceptive appliances or corrective orthodontic care is required, the pedodontist will discuss these with you.

Dr. Bilunas was everything a doctor should be: patient, communicative, and crystal clear. Plus, it was done in a format my 5-yr old could follow. She was fantastic and my kiddo really tolerated the experience of her first fillings.

I have never had a better experience at a pediatric dentist. The hygienists and the dentist were so welcoming, gentle, and encouraging to my 3 year old and 1 year old. I was nervous that my kids would cry the entire appointment and they didn't cry at all. They were even able to get my 3 year old to sit by himself in the chair and clean his teeth. They were praised with prizes and balloons when they were done and my 3 year old even said "I don't want to go home I stay at dentist"

First impressions are everything and I believe they nailed it! Amazing customer service, beautiful and clean facility. They were so great with my son and his first cleaning experience, which he was very nervous for. They were patient, calm and very encouraging to him. He is already asking to go back and can't wait until his next appointment!!! That says everything!

We really like Dr Lin! He was amazing! We took our 2 month old daughter to him today for her possible tongue tie and lip tie. The front desk staff was very friendly from the moment we walked in. His assistant took us back to the room and was very sweet and professional. Dr Lin came in the room and we could immediately feel his great energy. He was very thorough as he explained what he was examining our daughter for. He listened to our concerns as he explained every detail about tongue and lip tie. He diagnosed her and explained every step of the procedure, recovery and exercises for her continued growth and success from the laser procedure. As he did the procedure he explained everything he was about to do and when he was done. The actual procedure took less than 5 mins with about an hour of education prior. We loved how he talked to both me and my husband and had a great chair side manner. He was great with our daughter. When done we sat in the parking lot to feed our daughter before heading home. He left to grab lunch and when he returned saw us still there. He pulled up next to us to make sure everything was ok. He went the extra step to make sure we were all comfortable and educated. I highly recommend Dr Lin for this procedure. I can only imagine he's wonderful with kids of all ages as he cleans their teeth also.

My daughter has a lot of anxiety in new places/situations and they were so incredibly warm and friendly from the second you walk in. They made her super comfortable and we got through the entire visit without crying! Huge success! Will definitely be going back and recommending to everyone! Ashley was our Dental Assistant and she was AMAZING!

They were so kind and patient with my 3 year old. His teddy got to try things out before my son had to, making him feel very comfortable. I felt like I was heard and I walked out feeling very pleased with our second visit. I would highly recommend this office!

They tried to mandate x-rays on my 4 year old. The new dentist (klarck) wouldn't reschedule my 4 year old for his next 6 month visit unless I agreed I would let them take x-rays. Sorry, that's a personal choice - I prefer to wait until my kids are 6 years old before exposing them to radiation - limited as it may be. I'll be looking elsewhere for a new dentist for my 3 boys.

Miss Ashley the hygienist is absolutely amazing. She makes my daughter feel so comfortable during her appointments and makes going to the dentist fun for the kids! She knows how to connect with her patients and really tailors her visits to the individual kid by mentioning things she can tell they like. For example, she noticed my daughter's paw patrol shoes and started talking about paw patrol with my daughter! She eases any hesitation the kids have with her pleasant ton and personality! She has a very special way of working with kids. She is amazing. I am so fortunate to have found such a wonderful person who makes my daughter smile and laugh throughout her appointments. Dr. Lin the dentist is amazing as well! At my daughter's very first dentist visit she was really worried which Dr. Lin could sense. He left the room and came back with a special balloon for her which instantly made her feel more comfortable. He has a kind and gentle demeanor that makes kids and parents feel comfortable. Unlike other pediatric dentists offices, this office allows the parents back in the exam/cleaning room with the children which was important to me. This office is wonderful in so many ways. I have been very impressed and will recommend this office!

Went for my daughter's first appointment and everyone we came into contact with was super nice and engaging. I appreciated that they talked directly to my daughter and made her feel at ease. They also followed Covid precautions more than any other office I have visited recently.

Dr. Lin and his staff are awesome. They are attentive and super patient. My son had needed extensive dentistry and I wouldn't go any where else. I can't speak highly enough for the care Dr. Lin takes with his patients. He really is the best pediatric dentist I've come across!

Friendly staff and excellent with little kids. My oldest son had to have a pulpotomy and I was nervous he would be afraid of the dentist but they did an AMAZING job with him. We continue to take our boys for their cleanings at Pediatruc Dental Associates!

I honestly don't know where to begin to explain how happy I am with Dr. George Lin & Pediatric Dental Associates. If I could I would write 10 of these reviews. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The office is clean & inviting. Then there is Dr. Lin.... where do I begin. Dr. Lin is unbelievably knowledgeable on complex dental problems and health issues. In addition to that, Dr. Lin's bed side manner is one of the best I have ever seen. My son is hyper sensitivity to light, sound & pain and watching Dr. Lin work with my son makes me want to give a 10 out of 5 stars I could. I am a full time Firefighter/Paramedic & know that being able to calm & reassure someone when a patient is scared and feels alone makes a medical professional extraordinary. If you are looking for a Pediatric dentist or considering changing where you are taking your child, Dr. Lin & Pediatric Associates is where you need to take your child without question. Thank you Dr. Lin & staff for being you!!!!

Great pediatric dentist. Explained everything to my little 5yr old so she understood what was going on. Made what can be a scary experience kinda like a non-issue. She did great and they were great with her!

Best experience ever! Ashley, the hygienist, was absolutely amazing with my daughter! My daughter was terrified of going to the dentist until our visit with Ashley. I could not believe how well our cleaning appointment went.I was expecting tears and running away, but instead had a happy girl that was even dancing. Dr. Kim was really nice also and did a good job at explaining everything to me. Highly recommend Pediatric Dental Associates!

Have gone here for a couple years and this past year has shown they are not for us. From Dr. Lin telling us my 12 y/o will have to see an adult dentist because he had 2 cavities (not sure why a pediatric dentist can't fix cavities on a 12 y/o) to my daughter who has sensory issues and has had traumatic work done in the past by him he was unwilling to take the time to work with her. They should have the specialized techniques to make kids feel comfortable, but instead dr Lin just gave up on my kid. The past year we have felt unwanted as patients, and very rushed to get out. There may be a better dentist in the office to check out, but we are moving on.

My daughter was nervous going in to get her teeth cleaned and right from the minute we walked in and meet with Tish our dental hygienist she was amazing with my daughter. Very welcoming, patient and made sure my daughter felt comfortable! She was also very gentle with my son while doing an extensive cleaning! We love this place and my kids don't mind coming back to the dentist!

We saw Dr. Cal Kim for a consult about possible early orthodontic intervention for our 5 yr old daughter and he was beyond fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took all the time needed to thoroughly explain all of the options, risks, benefits and long term outcomes. He listened to our concerns and answer all our questions with a genuine interest in what was best for our little girl. I truly felt as if he was devising a plan for my kid as if it was his own.
