My love of pediatric dentistry started as a child. It seemed like every time I went to the dentist, I needed dental work even though my siblings were consistently in the clear. I spent a lot of time as a child in the dental chair and had a great experience; it really helped form the way I want kids to feel in a dental chair. I know too well what its like to be that kid on the other side of the chair!

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I then graduated with my DMD from Case Western College of Dentistry. After Dental school, when I told my mother that I was going to continue on with more school to do exclusively pediatric dentistry she said, cant you just get a job already! My mom was a kindergarten teacher and seeing how much she loved what she did really had the lasting affect that I too should follow what I love doing. She understood! So I continued on to a pediatric residency at Nationwide Childrens hospital while also obtaining a Master of Science degree from The Ohio State University. I completed my pediatric dentistry training as Chief Resident of Dental Services, which served as the perfect training ground for my day-to-day work with kids.

I am a board-certified pediatric dentist and a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. I am a member of the American Dental Association, The Ohio Dental Association, and The Columbus Dental Association.

My favorite part of being a pediatric dentist is seeing the pride and joy in a parents face when their child does something they didnt think they could do; as well as that visit when a child turns the corner and does a great job for the first time.

When I am not doing pediatric dentistry I enjoy spending time with my wife, Stephanie and my two children, Thomas and Evelyn. I can often be found at home re-watching the same movies with my family that has been playing for 8 hours a day at work and saying the lines right before they happen. To this day, it is believed that I have the world record for the number of times I have seen the first Frozen movie.

I grew up in a rowdy home, the second of six kids, in a suburb between Dayton and Cincinnati. I attribute my ability to block out noise and focus on the task at hand, two very important skills for a pediatric dentist, to being raised in that bustling home! Although a Buckeye through and through, after high school graduation I headed south to attend college at the University of Kentucky. While in Lexington, I earned my undergraduate degree, a masters degree and lifelong status as a member of Big Blue Nation!

Before long, I returned to my Buckeye roots to attend dental school at The Ohio State University. It was there, while in my third year of dental school, I had a conversation that changed the course of my career. Following a rotation in the pediatric dental clinic, one of the faculty held me after to ask me my story. This particular faculty happened to be one of the most respected and beloved pediatric dentists in the field, and he had my absolute attention. He suggested I think about specializing in pediatrics, which was something I had never really considered, but made perfect sense to me as he and I spoke that day. I felt a wave of excitement and possibility I had not experienced in my dental education to that point. I vividly remember him saying with all the conviction you can imagine, its the greatest profession in the world! From where I stand today, I assure you I agree! I was very fortunate to stay in Columbus to complete my two years of pediatric specialty training at Nationwide Childrens Hospital as well as an additional masters degree from The Ohio State University.

Pediatric dentistry is unique. The hardest part isnt always the dentistry itself. The bigger challenge is helping kiddos allow you to deliver the care they need in a safe, gentle, positive and hopefully even fun way! The kids will never let you down. They keep every day new and fresh with their perspective and innocence. I love earning their trust, and celebrating their accomplishments. I love sharing their pride when they overcome fears or apprehensions. I love to laugh with them and offer encouragement along the way. It really is the greatest profession ever!

Outside of work, I am an avid homebody, but I do like to venture out with my family for walks and occasionally a run! I wholeheartedly enjoy pizza, cheering for the Buckeyes, dark chocolate, and attending family functions for my 18 nieces and nephews.

My father, aunt, grandfather and uncle were all dentists. Some say dentistry is what we do! I grew up at the family practice and was able to witness the impact of a healthy smile. I knew early on that dentistry was meant for me. Through my dental training at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Childrens, I learned how valuable a healthy smile is to a child and their self-confidence. One of my favorite things about what I do is helping kids feel comfortable in their own unique smiles!

I truly care about the patients and families I work with and making sure your childs experience is the best it can be. The truth is dentistry is tough for a lot of people not just kids. I still remember as a kid being uncomfortable in the dental chair while getting an impression and the dentist was dad! We all have these stories that make us feel vulnerable at the dentist and I pride myself on making your child feel understood and comfortable with me.

When I am not practicing pediatric dentistry, you can find me with my wife Jamie and our baby boy Brady. We love to spend time outdoors and finding new places throughout Columbus to explore. However, most of the time our weekend adventure is back to Target for more diapers!

I feel very lucky to be able to work with children from a young age and see them grow up over the years. A smile is something we wear every day and I look forward to helping your child have confidence in their own!

Cannot say enough good things about everyone here. From the physicians to the staff they go above and beyond on every visit. Wonderful people.

Dr. Kevin was amazing with my son who is on the spectrum. There was a point he made this smooth transition from talking to my wife and I to talking to my boy. Idk Dr. Kev is cool with me in my book. Plus, they really know kids. They have this mini arcade in the waiting room, AND they don't offer candy after the appt.

Denied care to my child, wouldn't let me pay out of pocket because my child qualifies for Medicaid which they didn't accept, so I offered to pay out of pocket since she was suffering with a toothache and they said they cannot see her. Denying care to children.

We have been going to Pediatric and Adolescent Dentistry for the past 7 years and every single experience has been positive. My son chipped his tooth on a weekend and we were able to talk to the dentist and determine that an emergent visit was not required. The staff is phenomenal from the moment you walk in the door until you check out. My kids normally see Cheryl as their hygienist and my son said today that he loves going to see her because she always makes him feel safe and comfortable when she is cleaning his teeth. My kids have seen all 3 dentists and we love them all! I normally like to stick to one doctor/dentist for continuity, but there really isn't a need here because every single one of them is amazing!!! I am so impressed with the care my kids have received at the dentist and I will recommend them every single time!!

Dr.Emmy and Dr. Kevin are amazing. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist this is the group to see. Our son has been a patient for years and they do a fabulous job with his sensitivities and the hygienists are all stellar at caring for their patients too. Highly recommend them for those families who may have a child with a disability as they go out of their way to care for kids. The receptionist is always kind and willing to listen when we have had to cancel due to an illness or unexpected issue. Please remember to be kind with everyone as everyone is dealing with something that we may know nothing about.

Dr. Eric and all of the staff were great when we had to get a last minute appointment for a chipped tooth. They made a crazy afternoon, not so bad.

We've been seeing Dr. Emmy for awhile now and both of my boys love her. My oldest is 6 and has a cleft lip. She has been in contact with Nationwide Children's on his care and progress since he requires bone grafting later on for his teeth. She's so great with kids. My boys never have any hesitation about visiting her office. Thank you, Dr. Emmy!

I'm writing this with much hesitation as we've been committed clients for over 7 years, but today is my last straw. I've bit my tongue even as I've felt disrespected by the receptionist because the dentists and hygeinists are absolutely amazing, but enough is enough. Months ago I was put on the spot and left no other choice but to cancel my girls back to back appointments, which happened to be roughly a two hour time slot. Not only was this completely out of my control, but it has never happened before in our over 7 years of being clients. Over the phone, during the cancellation conversation, I was made to feel worthless for having had something come up. Even though I felt like I was literally reprimanded like a child, I kept my cool because regardless, my girls dental hygeine and well being are far more important than my pride. Since having to cancel that one appointment slot ONCE, ALL four of my girls and ALL of their treatments must now be scheduled one at a time individually. As incredibly difficult as that has been on me to do during my last semester of nursing school, and just in general, I bit the bullet and did it for my girls. We are now about 6 or 7 appointments in and today I show up for what should have been the very last treatment overall. Not only was I on time, but I was 8 minutes early, however, today I was told by the receptionist that I was late and that I needed to reschedule. I told her the time she wrote on the reminder card said 3 and her only response was "yeah...no, it was at 2 and all the dentist's are back with a patient so we'll have to reschedule. Didn't you get the appointment reminder?" So yet again we made ANOTHER appointment, which will be the third trip there just this week. The first thing I did after I made the thirty minute drive back home was double-check that appointment card to make sure that it said three and sure enough, it did. I am so tired of this rude and condescending receptionist who doesn't even have the respect or human decency to not only understand when an emergency arises, but also to admit when she's wrong. I had to arrange for a sitter to watch my three other kids so that I could be available for this appointment today, which I've had to do for every appointment twice every week for the last 4 weeks. To tell me that I showed up an hour late and make me reschedule and have to find a babysitter again for the third time in a week when it's actually HER FAULT is absolutely absurd. In addition, out of all 4 of my girls, I have only received a text appointment reminder for the may 27th appointment for Allana and a reminder as I was in the office rescheduling for the June 4th appointment for Anslea. Two reminders for over 6 appointments is unacceptable and unreliable and yet again, I was looked at by the receptionist like I couldn't possibly be telling the truth and that there's no way I couldn't have received a reminder. I am attaching a copy of the appointment card for reference and we will in the meantime be searching for other options for pediatric dentistry as I basically was looked at as a liar yesterday. I'm hoping this brings light on the situation so it can be addressed and managed. No other client deserves to be made to feel the way she has made my family feel.

We have loved Dr. Emmy and Dr. Kevin for about 3 or 4 years now. Recently, we've had a couple appointments with Dr. Eric and we are so thrilled. I will never take my kids anywhere else. All three doctors are patient, kind, and involve the child in their own dental health.

My daughter saw Eric Soller DMD. Its rare you meet ppl that were born to do what they do, but this man was incredible with my 5 year old. She had to have her tooth pulled and she didn't feel a thing and he played her favorite things game with her. I cannot say enough about him!
