Dr. Michael Pederson is from Walker, Minnesota where he graduated from high school in 1991. He went to the University of Minnesota for his undergraduate and dental school education. In 1998, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS), from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
Dr. Pederson enjoys practicing all aspects of general dentistry. Practicing in a small community gives him the opportunity to know most of his patients on a personal level. He takes great pride in meeting his patients expectations in a trusting and comfortable environment. Dr. Pederson continues to learn the latest advancements in general dentistry through ongoing continued education courses. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, and the Northwest District Dental Society.
After receiving his degree, Dr. Pederson moved back to Walker in 1998 along with his wife, Tamara, who is also from Walker. Together they have a son who keeps them very busy with athletics and the outdoors. As a family they enjoy fishing, hunting, skiing, and traveling.
Dr. Christopher Steffenson graduated from Onamia High School in 2008. He attended the University of Minnesota Duluth for his undergraduate degree. In 2017, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. During the last years of dental school, he had the privilege of providing dental care in various rural dental clinics throughout Minnesota; as well as a geriatric rotation in Minneapolis.
Dr. Steffenson enjoys practicing in a community setting, not only as a dental provider, but as an active member of the community. He is committed to practicing general family dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

After moving here from Iowa, I was hesitant to find a Dentist. My friend and wonderful hairstylist Stacy Little referred me to Dr. Pederson, and I am so thankful she did. My only regret is that I didn't make an appointment sooner. I had a crown replaced which went so smoothly. Dr. Pederson was so caring and took time to answer any questions I had. He even called the following day to check on me! Jamie who cleaned my teeth was wonderful as were the assistants helping Dr Pederson. I am so thankful I found them!!

Pederson dental office has been a wonderful experience for me! The staff is so friendly and helpful. I've seen both dentists, I liked them both. They put a lot of my worries to rest. Very patient, understanding and painless.

My daughter is 2 years old and went in for her 2nd visit today. What a delight! Jen was WONDERFUL, absolutely incredible. She helped my daughter feel at ease and it could not have gone any better! Dr. Chris also took careful care around my daughter as well. Any parents of toddlers, you WILL be pleased here.

My family has gone to this dental office for many years and they just keep getting even better. They stay up to-date on technology, help me plan appointments around my work schedule, and help me whenever I have an emergency. This dental staff is very kind and caring and have made me feel comfortable when having procedures. They lower my anxiety level whenever I'm in the dental chair. They are a 5 star family dental!!! I recommend them !!!

It had been a few years since I had been to a dentist and was very self-conscious with what was going on... I started out at a different dental office and had a very bad experience and so I reached out to Jen (works at Pederson's Dental office) and she reassured me that there would be NO judgement! She was right... Everyone was so professional and helpful. My mouth looks and feels amazing. I had my teeth whitened yesterday by Jamie and they have never looked better! Dr. Pederson and Stevenson did such a great job and treated me so respectfully. Thank you to everyone in the entire office for all of your expertise and kindness.

My husband and I have been patients for many years. Have always been very happy with both Dr.Pederson's work and our hygienist Kayla Anderson's teeth cleaning skills. Never have to wait long, they are always on schedule. The office administrators are very friendly and professional.

By far, this has been my favorite dental clinic to go to. Kind people, excellent with children, forgiving if I've needed to cancel or reschedule multiple times, and good at what they do. They helped ease my worry when we talked about my wisdom teeth and I felt educated by Jenny before I went and had them removed in Bemidji. Side note, at a previous (DIFFERENT) clinic I remember my dentist being so distracted that he sprayed me in the eyes with water. I'm talking a solid 2 Mississippi. Haha it was terrible! You'll feel good knowing that you can trust Pederson Family Dental with your teeth...and your eyes.

When we retired and moved to Walker, we heard so many great things about Pederson Family Dental. Friends and neighbors all gave terrific reviews, so, we changed our insurance to one they accept. What a great decision. We are just so pleased that a great dental practice is right around the corner. Pederson Familty Dental is a great Team, friendly, responsive, caring, and...they take the time to explain what they are doing and treatment options. It is a pleasure going to a practice where the Team obviously likes going to work.

I never thought I would enjoy going to the dentist but everyone is so nice and considerate it helps you to feel less stressed! The dentists and staff are all very professional and also fun. When I walked in the door the women didn't even look up. One even had her back to me. When brought back Dr. Pederson talked very fast and seemed more interested in upsetting me than treating me. Clearly concerned with his wallet more than my care. Was not impressed and will never go back to this place!
