Here at Pearson Pediatric Dentistry, we are proud to specialize in pediatric dentistry. We truly believe in starting children off right when it comes to their dental health. It is our goal to ensure that each visit goes well so that they think of the dentists office as a good place. Our entire staff is wonderful with children, allowing them to relax while we care for their teeth.
Our dentists and staff have received extra training for primary teeth. Our goal is to protect your childrens teeth so they can eat and speak correctly. We will do whatever we can to help your children have the bright smiles they deserve.
Dr. Pearson graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelors of science degree in Biology. She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee. Upon graduation from UT, she practiced as a general dentist for 3 years. While working as a general dentist she nurtured her love of pediatric dentistry and in 2007 she relocated to Washington D.C to begin her specialty training in Pediatric dentistry at Howard University. Dr. Pearson completed her residency in 2009 and began working with Dr. Oswald Thompson in southeast Washington, DC. Dr. Pearson completed the rigorous board certification process and she is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She maintains memberships in several professional organizations including: the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the College of Diplomates, the American Dental Association and the National Dental Association. Dr. Pearson is married to her college sweetheart and they have 3 children. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, jogging and watching HGTV.

Dr. Pearson is a gem. Our children, particularly our older son, love her. Our older son refused to be seen by anyone else, even though he faced the possibility of undergoing a painful root canal. Dr. Pearson was able to save his tooth. We are eternally grateful.

I am writing this review from VA because I just found out that Dr. Pearson moved on from our pediatric office. I was so sad to hear but so happy to know that she has her own practice now. Dr. Pearson is absolutely the BEST! She is so patient, gentle, kind and understanding. You can tell that she was made for pediatric Dentistry. I wish I could travel to continue bringing my kids to her, I am not sure that we will find another dentist that can even come close to comparing. Dr. Pearson, congrats on your new endeavors and thank you for taking care of my 2 cousins (Rachel & joseph) and my 3 kiddos. We miss you!

Dr. Pearson is amazing! She sings little songs to keep your child calm and at ease. She also takes time to listen to parent's concerns. I can't speak highly enough about her.

Dr. Pearson is great with my girls. She is very patient and when they are nervous about anything she calms them and is able to walk them thru what she is doing. Glad I found her!!!!

I would recommend going here very nice staff. Great place to start out for anyone looking for a pleasant atmosphere and where they love the kids and makes them feel so comfortable. I'm sure they'll enjoy going back after their first visit mines sure did!

Big disappointment. If the weather is nice they call you to cancel your appointment. The traffic is horrible getting to location. Very dismissive. You would rather go to a dentist who shows they care about their CHILDREN clients. I wanted to give them a chance and got burned

Dr. Pearson and her staff are great! She has taken care of my kiddos for years. She is caring and takes an interest in each child. We LOVE this office. Traffic and parking can be difficult at times but the office does validate parking. Overall, we enjoy our experience.

Dr.Pearson and her team is excellent from the clean office and welcoming open arms when coming through the door... My kids are pleased with the doctor just as much as I am ... This is one doctor in SE DC that you will be pleased with and will take care of all your kiddos dental needs

She is the best pediatric dentist- point blank! My family and I truly appreciate your warm welcome and mindful mannerism while quickly solving my son's dental issue. Despite, the scary thought of dental care entirely. Especially as it relates to extractions, needles, sharp utensils of any sort, and children in the same sentence. Your expertise aren't to be unnoticed and I proudly present these 5 stars (wishing I could give more) for your EXEMPLARY and overall OUTSTANDING service! P.S. I absolutely love Dr. Pearson and her team! The atmosphere is always warm and friendly. She is super fast and my daughter is always at ease with her. She doesn't know it but she saved my daughter from having to under go surgery. I went to have her teeth looked at another dental office and I won't say any name because I'm not about bashing people and their practice. However, 4 of her teeth began to decay from food and breast milk. The other dentist said she needed to under go surgery but she wouldn't say what was going to be done to my child. She said I would see her results after the surgery. I didn't feel right letting them take my baby into some room I'm not allowed in not knowing exactly if they were going to pull the teeth or what. Long story short we saw Dr. Pearson and after our consultation she scheduled us another appointment. She simply cleaned up the decaying teeth and put caps on them. We were in and out of there in no time and no surgery was necessary. So, you see when I say I absolutely love her, I mean that! She is theee best, hands down.

The dentist is great. She's fast and makes the kids feel happy no matter how nervous and scared they may be. She's very nice and efficient. The office may be a bit small and tends to get crowded but it feels more personal so I don't mind.
