Dr. Lu Dinh was born in Saigon, Vietnam and moved to the small town of Robinson, Illinois at a young age. He received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign, where he met his dear wife. He then moved to Dallas, Texas to continue his education in the field of medical science and received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Cognition and Neuroscience.
After finishing post-doctoral training, he worked as a neurophysiologic specialist assisting neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons in complicated surgeries protecting the integrity of a patients nervous system throughout the procedures. However, Dr. Dinh did not feel fulfilled and he felt that something was missing. He kept thinking back about his time as a child growing up in Vietnam. He saw many friends and children with facial deformities such as cleft lip, cleft palate and other dental problems. All of them could have had a beautiful smile had they received better care. Dr. Dinh decided to be a dentist. He finished his dental training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He graduated with honors, in addition to being inducted into the National Honors Fraternity Omicron Kappa Epsilon.
He has given his time to volunteering at the Lady of Mercy Community Outreach, Greenville Free Medical Clinic, and humanitarian mission in Dominican Republic. He feels honored to have joined such fun and gratifying profession. Outside of the office, Dr. Dinh enjoys photography, checking up on the latest in technology, and spending time with his wife and their 3 year-old baby boy, Tony.
