Dr. Chen graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston in 2002. She has been practicing general dentistry in Metro Detroit area ever since. Dr. Chen is committed to provide highest quality dental care with compassion and understanding. To expand her base of knowledge and skill, she completed hundreds of hours of continue education after dental school.

Welcome to Pearl Family Dentistry! Your first visit establishes a vital foundation for our relationship (we sincerely hope it's a long lasting one) with you. We are here to make everyone feel comfortable and well taken care of in our office.
The first dental visit is usually short and involves very little treatment. This visit gives your child an opportunity to meet the dentist in a non-threatening and friendly way. During the exam, Dr. Chen will check all of your child's existing teeth for decay, examine your child's bite, and look for any potential problems with the gums, jaw, and oral tissues. If indicated, Dr. Chen or a hygienist will clean any teeth and assess the need for fluoride. She will also educate parents about oral healthcare basics for children and discuss dental developmental issues and answer any questions you may have.

Person answering the phone at the front is very rude and unfriendly. Dr. Chen is fantastic! Just need to replace the front desk lady with someone more pleasant.

The person who answered the phone is rude. She is inpatient and not friendly at all. It seems she doesn't like her job. I go to this clinic because of Dr Chen. Otherwise, I cannot stand this bad service any longer.

The person who answered the phone at the front desk was very bad. Hung up the phone before asking the question. Then he won't answer the phone after calling. The other calls are connected. After she knew who it was, she hung up the phone again. I think no matter how good the doctor is, if the front desk is not good, no one will come to see the dentist.

I met Dr.Chen back to 2004 or 2005 when she was working at great expression at sterling heights. Later when she decide to open her office , she still working in both office, what a hard working lady . I refer more than 20 friends and coworkers to her, so far no one ever said any bad thing about them , when the office start open it only Dr Chen and Danijela. Danijela is funny and joyful to talk , she try so hard to understand my poor English, thank you , now they have more people working and still doing a good job. One more big big thank you to all the ladies there. I have been seen about 3 other dentists when I move to Michigan 20 years ago. Some are bad bad bad bad. Thank you Lord I met Chen

My family was told during check-in to pay $50 extra per person for panoramic X-rays before the dentist would see them. This is NOT the standard of care and there are other ethical ways to make extra money as a highly paid dentist.

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would have. We are a military family and were stationed near here. We went here for a little over two years. They saw my whole family from 4 year old to adult. They have a terrific staff and great dentist. They were up front about all procedures. They were great with preventative care. The wait time is never very long. They have emergency visits, usually same day. We have had bad experiences with children's dentists in the past and this dentist helped all of them look forward to coming in. We had many things that were taken care of including: filings, referral for a crown, sealants, spacer, cleanings, x ray, monitoring of small cavities, and more. I honestly could go on and on about how terrific they are. If we could take them with us we would have.

My family has been going here for a couple of years now. Every time we schedule an appointment there, we have to reschedule for another time ( Cleaning and etc) because the dentist didn't have time to do it or the front desk receptionist told the dentist the wrong reason we were here for. All of the staffs there seem uncaring and rude to our family. On top of that, when got our teeth cleaned by the dentist, she is negligent in her work and always seems to be in a rush. She doesn't care about the patients, only the money. Needless to say, we won't be coming back here anymore due to all the bad experiences with this place.

Dr Chen Fang is the best general dentist I have ever seen. As someone said in the above, she is very kind, professional and honest. She will tell you all the procedure and the cost. she will definitely let you know if a procedure or material is not covered by insurance and let you make decision. The lady in front desk is nice as well. my three year old son like her very much

Dr Fang Chen is the most professional dentist i've ever been to. There are no hidden costs and she's honest about if you need a procedure done. Honesty is something i've had a hard time finding in the dentist field and i've loved her so much that i followed her to her new practice in troy from great expressions. I've been seeing her for over 8 years and have never had any problems with any of my fillings done by her. She really takes the time to make sure each filling is done right and i've had no sensitivity following any procedure. really a rare find! Highly recommend her. I now live in Texas but fly back to see her. Cannot say enough great things about this practice
