Pearce Periodontics has been providing full time periodontal care to the patients of Carteret and the surrounding counties since 1989. Over the 30 years since 1989, we have seen Carteret County grow into a thriving year round community, and we are proud to be a part of the excellent overall health care that is available in our area.
We are the only periodontal practice in Carteret County. While many of our patients are referred from the quality general dentists and dental specialists in our area, we also see self-referrals and patients who move and transfer their care to our area. The main focus of our practice has always been to help patients improve their gums and periodontal health and maintain their teeth. We work closely with the other dental professionals in the area and strive to provide conservative, practical, comfortable and affordable care. We also customize the treatment to the specific needs and concerns of each patient.
Dr. Pearce is a past president of the NC Fifth District Dental Society, the NC Society of Periodontists, the Carteret County Dental Society, the Soundview Rotary of Carteret County and is currently the treasurer in the Four Corners Dental Study Club. He also values professional memberships as a way to help keep current in dentistry/periodontics and is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and the Carteret County Dental Society. Being active in the community is important to us and Dr. Pearce is a member of Soundview Rotary of Carteret County and the SoundBank Advisory Board.
30 years of experience in the field of periodontics. He received his dental and periodontal training at the UNC School of Dentistry and completed his undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University. Dr. Pearce grew up in Henderson, NC and has lived in Carteret County with his wife Laura since 1990. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Lauren, a Division Director with Robert Half Technology in Raleigh, NC and Blair, a student-athlete business major and former team captain on the women's soccer team at UNC-Wilmington. Dr. Pearce strives to not only provide exemplary periodontal services, but also has tried to create a practice that is patient-centered and is an integral part of the excellent Carteret county healthcare community.
