Dr. Melissa Renz, DDS, was born and raised in Michigan, growing up in Sterling Heights. She completed her undergrad at Michigan State University, then moved to Ann Arbor to attend dental school at University of Michigan. She graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2010, and still resides in Ann Arbor with her husband Andrew, daughters Charlie and Parker, and dog Raya.Dr. Renz is committed to high-quality, state-of-the-art dentistry with an emphasis on comfort, education, and treatment of all her patients as individuals and friends. She looks forward to providing services to the Saline community in a kid-friendly, family dentistry atmosphere. In her spare time, Dr. Renz is a travel enthusiast. Some of her most notable adventures include traveling to Europe, one her favorite spots being Mykonos, Greece.
Dr. Patrick McGrath joined ourteam in2021. Born and raised in Ann Arbor, he earned his DDS from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2011 before completing a one-year residency at Puget Sound Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Seattle, Washington receiving advanced training in general dentistry. Dr. McGrath has continued his dental training and education through numerous continuing education courses including attending the Pankey Institutein Key Biscayne, Florida. Dr. McGrath believes good communication is the key to achieving success and likes to spendtime talking to his patients to help put them at ease both in the dental chair and when they go home. After spending ten years working in the Seattlearea, he and his wife Erica are very excited to return to the Midwest toraise their two daughters,Lauren and Paige.When Dr. McGrath is away from the office he enjoysspending time outdoors hiking with his dog Bentley, camping, golfing, and running.
Stacey, CDA, has been with Pear Tree Dental for over a decade. She graduated from the Dental Assisting program through Washtenaw Community College in 1995 and began working as a dental assistant around the Ann Arbor area. She continued her education and earned a masters degree in organizational management in 2012. Stacey has a teenage son, Zak who she loves to spend time with. They enjoy being active outside together and share the same sense of humor. Stacey spends her free time with her loved ones and finds the most joy in making people smile.
Kristin joined our Pear Tree team in April 2018. She brings with her over 12 years of various dental experience including working in military dental facilities. She is a proud military wife and has had the opportunity to live in many places, including 5 states across the United States as well as Germany. Kristin and her husband have two children, their oldest, a boy;youngest, a girl; and two dogs. She enjoys time at the lake with the kids and spending time with her family. Kristin is looking forward to expanding her skills and knowledge with the professionals at Pear Tree Dental.
Alex grew up in Parma, MI. She graduated from the Ross Medical Dental Assisting program in 2013 and has worked as an assistant ever since. She enjoys learning and continuing her dental education to help provide patients the best care. Together she and her fiance, Cameron, have a daughter, Ella and she gets to be a bonus mom to Cameron's son, Liam! In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, being outdoors, and photography.
Tara graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Kalamazoo Valley Community College in 2012. After 6 awesome years of living in Kalamazoo, she and her husband, along with their black lab Daisy, moved back to Saline where they both grew up and graduated from SHS in 2003. Go Hornets! Tara currently resides in Bridgewater Township and is loving the country life with her husband. She is even trying her hand at raising a few chickens! Tara says that she truly enjoys every season Michigan has to offer (yes, even winter!) and takes pleasure in all different types of activities. She loves being a hygienist and is passionate about her career. Tara is so happy to be a part of the Saline community again.
Ronda is a 2010 graduate of the Dental Hygiene program at Grand Rapids Community College. Dentistry has always been a true passion of Rondas! She takes pleasure in keeping up to date with the latest information and technology available in the dental field. Ronda enjoys building trusting relationships with her patients and educating them on the importance of the oral-systemic connection. She and her husband grew up in West Michigan and have recently moved near the area. They love spending time with family and friends, hiking, kayaking, and watching football Go Blue!
Kate graduated from the University of Michigan in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. After college, she moved to Chicago where she began practicing. She moved back home to the Ann Arbor area in 2013. Kate is married to her high school sweetheart, Brad. Together they have a daughter, Andie, and a puppy, Winnie. Kate enjoys long distance running, golfing, and watching sports. GO BLUE! Kate is very passionate about dentistry and is a proud member of the American Dental Hygienists Association. She is also certified in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide, and is dedicated to providing comfortable care to her patients. When Kate is not here at Pear Tree, she is teaching dental hygiene to students at Lansing Community College.
Casey joined our team in August 2016, bringing with her four years of experience in dental billing and 10 years in finance. She works as our business manager, making sure the office flows smoothly. She and her husband have three childrenall boyswho keep them on their toes. From drama to football, they are an on-the-go family!Casey enjoys staying active to keep her sanity by biking, hiking, running and working out at her local gym.
