Peak Dental - General dentist in Pflugerville, TX

If you're planning on visiting our office for the first time, we've compiled a bit of information to make sure that you are ready, and confident in your very first visit to Peak Dental in The Greater Austin Area.

The first visit to a dentist office can be quite daunting, so we here in the office had devised a plan to make sure you and the members of your family always feel safe, even on your first visit. Typically, we'll start with an office tour, if you so desire, so that you become well aware and familiar with where things are located in the office. Then, a cleaning will be conducted by one of our highly trained dental hygienists to better get to know the layout of your mouth and the condition of your teeth. Next, the thorough examination of your teeth will be conducted by your doctor so she can become aware of any dental problems you may be facing, thoroughly read your dental x-rays, and offer any suggestions for improving your overall dental health.

Consistently coming to the dentist is so important as you may have already been told. Twice a year, coming to the dentist can give you and your doctor a better idea about the state of your general health. Regularly checking for cancer, any movement of your teeth, and the state of your gums will keep you healthy for a long time coming.

It is far too often that people do not go to the dentist on a regular basis, they only go when they have a problem. The difference between preventive treatment and a crisis treatment is the difference between going to the dentist regularly and only going when you need to. Crisis-treatment patients may feel like theyre saving money, but it often ends up costing much more in dollars and time when a problem becomes so big that they finally need to address it. Its important to remember that dental problems usually dont have symptoms until they reach the advanced stages of the disease process.

Flossing has been proven to reduce the number of bacteria in your mouth. If you take a moment to stop and think about all of the foods you eat and the liquid you drink throughout the day, it can be alarming to think about not flossing at the end of a long day. Brushing can get rid of some bacteria in your mouth, but flossing gets rid of the bacteria of the toothbrush cannot reach. If you have questions about flossing, feel free to ask any of us here at Peak Dental.

One can prevent cavities by spending two to three minutes brushing your teeth a day. It takes that long to get rid of the bacteria that destroys tooth enamel. It is also important not to brush too hard and be sure to floss at least once a day. Keeping a close eye on your lifestyle habits such as the amount of sugar you eat, and the number of acidic foods or drinks you intake can have a great impact on your ability to prevent cavities.

To begin, fluoride is a mineral that occurs naturally in many foods and water. Lack of fluoride in the form of supplements or nutrition can put anyone at any age at risk for dental decay. Fluoride is important to dental health because it helps facilitate the prevention of tooth decay by making your tooth enamel more resistant to acid and from plaque bacteria in the mouth.Obviously, all the questions you may have couldn't be answered in a single article. Thankfully though, the highly-trained staff at Peak Dental in The Greater Austin Area, is waiting to take your call in order to address any concerns or answer any questions you may have. Don't hesitate, make the initiative today towards a healthier future tomorrow!

First time I went I was pleased as the staff and dentist were kind and friendly. I had an serious infection and they took care of me quick. Unfortunately, I'm currently unemployed and without insurance, so the best they could do was write me a script for antibiotics. Fast forward a month, still no job. I called to see if they would write another script for antibiotics. Nope. I had to come in. I explained my situation, but i had to get work done in order to get a script. It's just infuriates me that they're more concerned about making money than taking care of someone who can't pay 1k in dental work. I understand I need to get my problem fixed, BUT I CAN'T! Took my wife here recently because of serious infection. She was treated like she was a child and there was absolutely no professionalism or compassion by the dentist. Updat 3/10/2022. Went back to Peak Dental, and I just want to say, they went out of there way to make me visit awesome. I highly recommend.

I'm in a lot of pain because my pain management doctors are being very frugal with my pain medications so it's not Dr. Harrs fault. However I had my mouth rebuilt on top and just make sure you get good pain meds before you leave the doctors office. However Dr. Harris is best Speciality Doctor I have ever met.

Went to peak dental embarrassingly after years of not going to the dentist and was treated so well! The front desk manager Ms Josie was such a help and super cheerful! Amanda the dental assistant was wonderful as well. And lastly Dr. Kohlman was super friendly and did a great job with my cleaning and fillings. The process was quick and painless! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I did have to wait a while in between the fillings and cleaning but it wasn't that big of a deal at all. Will be returning!

I was seen by Dr. Kohlman and his assistant Amanda and they were amazing. They made me feel comfortable with the procedure I was getting done and they took their time to make sure it was done to the best of their ability and I was VERY pleased with the outcome! It was not rushed at all and I loved that. They answered any questions that I had. I definitely recommend to future patients. Sondra Thank you guys again and I will see you again! P.S. Shout out to front desk staff as well. Very cheerful and welcoming!

The service was great. My dental assistant, I believe her name was Amanda, was AWESOME. I felt super safe the whole time abs was in and out super fast. Got my X-rays, cleaning and 3 fillings. The dentist at this location was amazing as well. I normally go to the location on Parmer but to be honest you can't go wrong by choosing this location or that one. If you need to choose a new dentist Peak really is the way to go!

When you move to a new location, it's not really easy to find a good dentist. I feel lucky - blessed actually, - to have found Peak Dental, Pflugerville. Dr. Kholman is an excellent dentist. He's knowledgeable, caring, trustworthy and he does great work. He is very respectful to his staff - who also do great work in a professional and friendly manner. At 57, I've been to a lot of dentists and this team by far is the most impressive. Don't think twice about scheduling an appointment with them!
