Peak Dental – North Austin - General dentist in Austin, TX

If you're planning on visiting our office for the first time, we've compiled a bit of information to make sure that you are ready, and confident in your very first visit to Peak Dental in The Greater Austin Area.

The first visit to a dentist office can be quite daunting, so we here in the office had devised a plan to make sure you and the members of your family always feel safe, even on your first visit. Typically, we'll start with an office tour, if you so desire, so that you become well aware and familiar with where things are located in the office. Then, a cleaning will be conducted by one of our highly trained dental hygienists to better get to know the layout of your mouth and the condition of your teeth. Next, the thorough examination of your teeth will be conducted by your doctor so she can become aware of any dental problems you may be facing, thoroughly read your dental x-rays, and offer any suggestions for improving your overall dental health.

Consistently coming to the dentist is so important as you may have already been told. Twice a year, coming to the dentist can give you and your doctor a better idea about the state of your general health. Regularly checking for cancer, any movement of your teeth, and the state of your gums will keep you healthy for a long time coming.

It is far too often that people do not go to the dentist on a regular basis, they only go when they have a problem. The difference between preventive treatment and a crisis treatment is the difference between going to the dentist regularly and only going when you need to. Crisis-treatment patients may feel like theyre saving money, but it often ends up costing much more in dollars and time when a problem becomes so big that they finally need to address it. Its important to remember that dental problems usually dont have symptoms until they reach the advanced stages of the disease process.

Flossing has been proven to reduce the number of bacteria in your mouth. If you take a moment to stop and think about all of the foods you eat and the liquid you drink throughout the day, it can be alarming to think about not flossing at the end of a long day. Brushing can get rid of some bacteria in your mouth, but flossing gets rid of the bacteria of the toothbrush cannot reach. If you have questions about flossing, feel free to ask any of us here at Peak Dental.

One can prevent cavities by spending two to three minutes brushing your teeth a day. It takes that long to get rid of the bacteria that destroys tooth enamel. It is also important not to brush too hard and be sure to floss at least once a day. Keeping a close eye on your lifestyle habits such as the amount of sugar you eat, and the number of acidic foods or drinks you intake can have a great impact on your ability to prevent cavities.

To begin, fluoride is a mineral that occurs naturally in many foods and water. Lack of fluoride in the form of supplements or nutrition can put anyone at any age at risk for dental decay. Fluoride is important to dental health because it helps facilitate the prevention of tooth decay by making your tooth enamel more resistant to acid and from plaque bacteria in the mouth.Obviously, all the questions you may have couldn't be answered in a single article. Thankfully though, the highly-trained staff at Peak Dental in The Greater Austin Area, is waiting to take your call in order to address any concerns or answer any questions you may have. Don't hesitate, make the initiative today towards a healthier future tomorrow!

I do not have dental insurance and this place has not only reasonable prices, but they are also very accommodating. The staff is always very friendly, and they make sure you are comfortable during your visit. I highly recommend this place. This is the only place I will go to in Austin from now on.

First time I've been to the dentist in years, had several cavities and they took care of my teeth no problem.

Haven't been to the dentist in several years, but was having some tooth pain. They were able to fit me in quick and made the visit as painless and easy as possible. They kept me informed and made sure I was involved and understood the process and that definitely helped me keep my anxiety in check. Great team doing great work. Edit: going here regularly now and they are still great!

Come here if you want to spend your entire dental insurance limit in one visit and leave with unnecessary holes in your teeth. Dr. Zizi diagnosed me with four "cavities" and prescribed a "deep cleaning" without even cleaning my teeth! She either 1) was not educated enough to know they were stained by fluorosis or 2) knew they were stained and thought she could get away with robbing me. I immediately knew something was wrong and left. Trust the bad reviews you see here and stay away, I don't see this location lasting long considering years of reviews of malpractice.

Dr. ZiZi, is the best! This woman has a passion for what she does and the dental care they provide are top notch! Super professional, detailed in all the treatment/procedures they have done for me and work with getting me in so that I am now on the road to 100% dental health. Me and my family are blessed to now be patients at their practice. Their front desk / coordinators are organized, always so welcoming and breakdown coverage of my insurance with ease. The other dentist should model their way of operating because the overall experience is a 10 out of 10 for sure!!!!

Every time I visit Peak Dental they are so nice and professional. I have never had any issues here. I just wish their Pflugerville office would reopen as it is so much closer to my house.

So clean and calming inside, and everyone from the front desk receptionists to the assistants were so kind. Loved the clear, step by step explanation they offered and felt comfortable asking questions and feeling heard. Bonus: didn't have to get the old school molds of my teeth that are frankly uncomfortable and gross. Instead they used some high-tech wand to scan my teeth. So nice.

This is MY Go-To Dental place! I've had teeth pulled and fillings done. They are awsome! They work with your budget and do a wonderful job! I highly recommend. Keeping in mind I am from South Texas and a small town. It was hard for me to pick. But I am thankful and greatfull for this place! The last visit was an extraction. They made me feel comfortable. I really love this place. It's cleanly and professional. If your looking for long-term family dental ; This is the place to go!
