Dr. Viau has practiced dentistry since 2003, after graduating Magna Cum Laude from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. During her years at MCV, Dr. Viau was honored with awards in several areas of dentistry and was inducted into the prestigious national dental honor society, Omikron Kappa Upsilon. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She spent two years as a practicing Registered Nurse before pursuing her education in dentistry.

After receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Viau completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with the United States Air Force. In 2006, the Viau Family relocated to North Carolina. Dr. Viau spent her first seven years in private practice at a state of the art dental office in Fayetteville, voted #1 by the community. Dr. Viau decided to move her practice to Apex to be closer to home and her community. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the North Carolina Dental Society, and is a member of several dental study clubs.

Dr. Payne has practiced dentistry since 2003 after graduating from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. Fun fact, Dr. Viau and Dr. Payne were in the same dental school class! After graduation Dr. Payne completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency, also at MCV, and spent the beginning of her career in Richmond. While in Richmond Dr. Payne held many leadership roles in the local and state dental societies, and was awarded the Virginia Dental Association New Dentist Award in 2008. She received her undergraduate degree at Washington and Lee University with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry.

Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Payne relocated from Virginia back to NC in 2012. She and her family love this area. She spends a lot of time cheering on her two boys playing soccer. Her family also enjoys spending time at the beach, hiking, and cooking.

Erin grew up in Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a certificate in Gerontology. She and her husband moved to North Carolina from Colorado in June 2015. She has been working in the dental field since January 2012. She enjoys getting to work with all ages and help patients understand their dental insurance.

Theresa is so happy to be with Peak City Family Dentistry. She has been working in the dental administrative field since 2009 and loves it. Her favorite part is interacting with the patients and helping with all of their needs.

Charlene is a member of our administrative team and works part time. She began working in the dental field in 2008. When she is not here at the office, she attends FSU and is working towards a degree in Computer Science. Charlene enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephew and being crafty with her Cricut. Fun fact, she first meet Dr. Viau in 2008 on her very first day in the dental field.

Melany is from Jacksonville, NC and attended Coastal Carolina Community College for both the dental assisting and dental hygiene programs. She worked as a dental assistant for five years before returning to school to pursue dental hygiene. She has been working in the Triangle as a dental hygienist since 2015. Her passion is healthy gums and she would love to help you achieve a healthy smile for life. In her spare time, Melany enjoys hanging out with her husband, family, and cooking. She looks forward to meeting you!

Amy is a Registered Dental Hygienist.She has been practicing dental hygiene for 19 years and has been working in the field of dentistry for 21 years.Amy received her BS in Dental Hygiene from UNC-CH in 2002, after graduating with a Bachelors degree in Psychology from East Carolina University in 1998.While in school, Amy was voted and served as Student Liaison for UNC Dental School faculty and staff. She was also the recipient of the Student Total Achievement Award for excellence in patient care. Amy also received an award from UNC-CH School of Dentistry for a project presented on positively increasing patient compliance.Amy truly enjoys being a dental hygienist and prides herself on being gentle and thorough.She loves to bring a bright smile to all patients' faces!

Heather Faircloth can usually be found smiling. Smilings her favorite! She is passionate about helping others to love smiling as well. She resides in Sampson County and graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College with an Associates in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 1999. She has been married to her husband Dr. Ron Faircloth since 1998 and they have two teenage sons. Heather has worked part-time since becoming a mother and loves spending time with her family and three dogs. She is a breast cancer survivor and is an advocate for breast cancer awareness and staying physically active. She swears staying active during her treatments helped her tremendously! She loves running, yoga, coffee, boating, serving as musicians at their church and a good book.

Shannon has lived in North Carolina for over 30 years now and considers this to be home. She graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College in 2003 with a degree in dental assisting. Shannon married her husband, Robbie, in 2005 and they have been blessed with three amazing children. Her favorite thing about working in the dental field is being able to help give someone their smile back. During her free time, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family, boating, and being involved with her church.

Katherine was born and raised in North Carolina. She graduated from Alamance Community College with a degree in Dental Assisting. Katherine is married to her husband, Jerry. They have three children, Travis, Owen, and Jacy and one grandson, Andrew. Katherine and Jerry have a small farm in Chatham County where they raise chickens and goats. Katherine loves horses and owns a Mustang named Sally. While she enjoys farm life, Katherine has a deep love of dogs and has recently returned to participating in dog shows and training. Her favorite breeds are German Shepherds, Miniature American Shepherds, and Golden Retrievers. Katherine enjoys yoga and spending time at the beach.

Shelby recently moved from Utah to the Raleigh area with her husband. They got married in 2019 and moved out here to fulfill her husbands dream of becoming a pilot. Shelby graduated from the Utah Valley Dental Assisting School and enjoys helping others with every part of their dental care. She has always wanted to be apart of a great dental team and is happy she finally found one! Her hobbies include reading, hiking, camping, and being with family and friends.
