Dr. David Davenport graduated at the top of his class from the Temple University School of Dentistry. He continued his training at the Medical College of Georgia-Georgia Health Sciences University, where he completed a three-year residency in periodontics and dental implants, serving as chief resident his final year. Dr. David Davenports specialty program focused on periodontal and dental implant surgery, oral pathology, and overall periodontal care. During his residency training, Dr. David Davenport completed a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology and served the U.S. Military by providing periodontal care to veterans at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. He is currently and adjunct clinical professor at the Georgia Health Sciences University.
Since completing his training, Dr. David Davenport has stayed at the forefront of his profession by attending a number of specialty training courses, including intensive courses at the Institute for Facial Esthetics for certification for computer guided implant treatment and Teeth In An Hour. A member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Georgia Society of Periodontologists and the Southern Academy of Periodontology, Dr. David Davenport regularly participates in national meetings which address current issues, trends and innovative treatment techniques. He has lectured nationally on issues relating to periodontal disease and regeneration and has served as an expert witness.
Dr. David Davenport is one of a small number of dentists in the Atlanta area recognized as a Diamond Partner with Nobel Biocare, the world leader in innovative restorative and esthetic dental solutions. A distinguished leader in his field, Dr. David Davenport has been featured on The Wellness Hour to discuss issues related to periodontal disease and dental implants. His research involving periodontal regeneration was published in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology and has been recognized internationally. Named a Top Dentist by Atlanta Magazine, Dr. David Davenport resides in Peachtree City. An avid runner and trekker, he regularly spends his time supporting his children in local sports and performing community service.

I cannot say enough positive things about this place! The office staff are super nice and friendly, Dr. Davenport is very knowledgeable and professional, and the Hygienist Tracy was simply amazing! I went in for deep cleanings and was made very comfortable and for the first time had no pain at a cleaning! Thank you so much!

Had a molar extracted. No pain, no swelling, no bleeding. I've had at least 3 other oral surgeries; none as smooth and well-explained as this. Highly recommend Sr. Davenport and his excellent staff.

I used to work with Dr. Davenport and he was the best. Clinically he has a brilliant success rate with his patients. He is informative , exploring different options to suit each person's needs. I have retired from dentistry and now see Tracy as my hygienist. She is kind , gentle and thorough. I have enjoyed my experience with Dr. Davenport and his staff, and highly recommend them.

Dr. David Davenport and his amazing staff have taken wonderful care of me for almost 20 years. An office visit feels more like a visit with good friends than a routine cleaning appointment. Over time the faces of the staff members have changed, but not their dedication to excellence. I've been going to Dr. Davenport for 20 years and would not want anyone else working on my teeth. When I moved from Marietta to Peachtree City, he was such a positive for me after having left a periodontist in Marietta who wanted to take an extreme approach to bone loss. I felt a deep trust in Dr. Davenport from day one and he's repaid that trust for years by taking a conservative and thoughtful approach to my care. I had canceled many dental appointments prior to meeting him and his terrific staff because of dreading any appt, but I keep all of them with Davenport's office. He has the best hygienist I've ever had clean my very sensitive teeth.

I have been going to Peachtree Periodontics for many years. I have been totally satisfied with their services. The staff is always kind, personable, and very helpful. Tracy cleans my teeth every three months and I always enjoy spending this time with her. She keeps your mind off what she is doing and is truly concerned about your life and keeps you very relaxed. Dr. Davenport has always been available for any problem that I have experienced. He explains all he does in a very clear and precise manner and in a way that I totally understand. When I first visited Dr. Davenport and his team in 2016, I was endanger of loosing my teeth because of my neglect. Dr. Davenport was very warm, friendly and understanding. Today, my teeth and gums are in excellent condition and no longer in danger of falling out! Thanks to Dr. Davenport and his team, I now work very hard to ensure my teeth and gums remain healthy. As a result, I now get cleanings every three to four months. The idea of getting cleanings was something that I avoided....I now look forward to my cleanings....Tracy, my dental hygienist is awesome....she is very professional at her job...I use to leave other dental offices with sore gums....not with Tracy...my teeth are clean and shiny and I have absolutely no pain....in additional she is very personable....she never fails to ask me about my family!
